In case some of you may not notice, some observations recently : 1. Traffic Red Light Camera now doubles as a Speed Camera mostly 50-60 km/h limit. So when driving through these junctions please observe the speed limit even its Green. 2. At some junctions, Pedestrian 'GO' Green Light seem to be On earlier (by a few sec) than the corresponding Vehicle Green Light. So please only proceed upon 'Green' traffic light instead of Pedestrian 'Green' light. Some of us have been conditioned to proceed with either of the Green lights on. So be careful! **EDIT: the title should read PROPERLY instead of PROPERTY** bros, my gearbox seems to be giving me some problems recently. Whenever I tried to shift to neutral, it does not engage properly and it feels as though the gear was stuck between gear 1 and neutral and i hear knocking sound from gearbox. I had to clutch in again and keep trying for the 2nd time or sometimes 3rd time before my car engage neutral properly. can give me a heads up what's wrong before i send my car to workshop and hold my breath for repair cost? [laugh]

My ride reached 145,000 km this week after 4 years. I have been very happy and satisfied with my ride. In the last two months, I had to change engine oil twice as my engine was found to be empty without oil!? Going to a local service center they did not find this problem and also one of my fans were breaking down. I spent some couple of hundreds changing some parts that did not solve the problem but just a band-aid over the problems. Driving awhile more, I found the problem arising again, wanting a second opinion I sort out our resident guru Koolaba bro and he recommended me Aldan Motor Service Pte Ltd - they service alot of Skoda cabbies, so the experience is there and have all the VAG kits and tools. Went there for a quote for the items I wanted, and fair enough price, accepted it and sent it to get it serviced. 3 hrs later got a call from the owner to say he found my engine oil completed gone and was shocked as it dose not evaporate, told me he further investigated it and found the gasket of the engine broken. He recommended me to change it as it will spoil the vehicle if I do not. With that I said yes, went to the work shop to take a look and found my main engine covers off to reveal the pistons and other parts and showed me the broken gaskets and seams. Wow why didn't the previous person find this out. Got my ride back today and it is purring again, with the changed engine mounts, my ride is also quieter and feels like no more vibrations, got new engine oil, transmission oil changed, new radiator fan, expansion tank, drive shaft cover, oil filter, coolants, valve cover gasket..etc. Worth every penny, ride feels great, (like new feeling) Just wanted to share my experience.

As the flood is happening at thailand now, but is it affecting bangkok? is it still save to go? I've book the trip there in november so wondering should i cancel it, problem is i 1st time book online thru zuji.com, so now the question is if wanna cancel my $ will be forfit right? should i just proceed as will be going to bangkok only or cancel? wats the procedure? Sunday travelling on the ECP during afternoon hours, 1 TP on scooter (Female officer), travelling on lane 1 @ 70km/h, i tu lan and tail gate her... lane 2 quite empty, but i jus dun fancy these ppl... From marina area all the way to telok blangah area, behind me quite empty, cos all overtake from the left. be4 she filtered out to exit @ telok blangah, she hand gesture to me a 0 and den a 1... Still wondering wat it meant...

Tried chocolate chips, walnut & blueberry priced at $1 each. Many varieties & the muffins is not that dry, soft & taste even good when eaten at room temperature. recently i had been really been darn SUAY and most of the incidents and accidents i was not personally involved. starting with the one this afternoon! park my car nicely just down at my office, King George Bldg. when Bro Super7 arrived, I went down to bring him up to my office. then i realised my rear left door had been a subject to a 'hit and run' more $$$ gone just a week ago, my fren hit a taxi backside while driving my car. bonnet had to be reshaped and resprayed sianzz... insurance side, i refused to think abt it for now then a week before this, on the kart track, my fren crashed my kart... luckily no major structure damage, only 2 support metal bars had to be bent back sigh... wah lau! what bad luck! just needed a outlet to vent my feelings cheers

Recently in the last one week I have seend a couple of A5 on the road. A dark grey and silver A5 looks very new with SGSXXX plates. Good to see more Skoda cars on the road.

I dunno if it's psychological, but I seem to feel that my ride is getting more bumpy recently. What could be the reason? Wheel alignment? Excessive rain recently causing uneven road surface? I thought it could be due to tyre pressure, but there's no improvement after pumping air two days ago.

A simple equation would enlighten the masses. = Price of car when you bought it - Price of car when you sold it Total no of years you owned it ie Price of car includes everything lah (coe, omv, body etc etc) Appreciate your inputs, dear ladies and gentlemen of this esteemed forum! Noticed that nowadays, the main page seems to load slower. Usually see the top banner first, then need to wait a while, before the page body is loaded.... Any others here also feel the same? Maybe can remove some of the things from the main page to speed up the loading speed, eg. instead of showing the server stats directly on the main page, can just include a link to another page which shows the stats... Or maybe the slow loading speed is due to google ads...

Hi MCF bros, Would like to appeal to anyone who has spotted any Galant VR4s on the road recently? I would like to know if they have already become extinct on our roads. Easiest way to spot one is the intercooler and curved exhaust pipe near the rear axle. Witnesses anyone? Also, does anyone know here if we can do an online search on the LTA website looking for all the registered VR4s that are still plying our roadS? Is there an option for this? Thanks in advance

For those on Shell, have you noticed any improvement in your mileage recently? I'm on 98 and have observed improvement of about 10% (on two different cars), even though no change in driving pattern and route. in fact, right foot was heavier recently.
