Sorry for me being "sua ku" but only recently than I know that postage to government agencies are free. No need to buy postage stamp for the envelop. My fren did it for his Mobile bills and Utilities bills for yrs. He pay thru cheque as he does not pay full amt all the time. So next time when mailing to govt agency, no need to buy stamp.

Early Sunday morning at 5.00am, my wife received a call from her company worker that one of the worker (Indian national) was involved in a hit-and-run accident along Jalan Eunos. Whilst the worker was on the way to CGH, he died. The workers were laying cables at man-holes along the road with all the necessary warning lights & equipment but a taxi came and hit one of the worker & sped away. The taxi left behind the front mudguard and the top taxi display light 'indicator'. The accident happen at around 4.30am. Just to appeal any eye witness who happen to travel around this time and saw the accident. TP is currently investigating the hit-and-run accident. Wife had to go to office early morning to prepare reports with regards to the incident and does the necessary to send the body back. Came back only in the afternoon. So irresponsible of the taxi driver who doesn't even stop to help.

Hi all, wish to consult you guys on one matter, to cut a long story short. my !@#@!$ wife went to some kinda free facial trial, (didn't do in the end) then sweet talk, sweet talk sign this $2800 plan. i OT, so she went alone, if not i definately will not allow her to make such a hasty decision. Its not exactly malicious or bad-apple company, but due to certain medical condition, i think i should bring the leaflets of chemicals compounds used to my doctor to let him see if the facial chemicals might/will/should complicate existing conditions. and of cos, the sales person say, "can one, no problem one." whoever did sale b4 will know the convince-confuse-con rule. (sorry to sterotype) angry for 1) make decision never consult me (although she never say i pay) 2) make decision never research or think when there is existing medical reasons to be concerned 3) sales person to make a sale, might/might not lie but i do not want my wife to put herself to test if the products are ok. Called the Credit Card company last night cannot cancel/reverse/block. the most they can do is to "note" in their system. Will call the facial company to not process the trade, refund/reverse, although i think they won't but i will kpkb until they do it. Objective: a) get the reversal of CC charges b) bring the list of chemicals to my doctor to verify and if doc say ok, we will go back to the facial company, since wife think the facial is super good and very impt to do, don't do will die. Note: due to the medical condition, even the free trial was not administered, but instead sales person immediately move on to sell plan. Advice: what else do i need to do? Very (Dulan + concerned) worried man

Dear All, Currently driving a 2007 Rex, thinking of changing to a 2nd hand C-Class as my wife will be picking up her license soon. My budget is around 80k +- and i zoom down to the year 2007 C-class. Check that there are a few models in my range, but i can't really find much information discerning them apart. Hope the expert here can give me some enlightenment on the various model. C180K Coupe C180ML C200ML (abit of a stretch for me) For the 3 models, which is the better variant based on engine and specs and leaving the shapes aside. I am able to accept both the coupe and normal sedan chasis. Do the K in the C180k coupe mean anything compare to the ML for the C180 ML? Thanks a lot for the kind help May consider 320 also but generally seems to align more with Merc.

SINGAPORE: From January next year, the Medisave Required Amount (MRA) will be raised to S$32,000, higher than the current S$27,500. The MRA refers to the amount that must be set aside in the Medisave Account, after the CPF Minimum Sum requirement has been met. Those who have met the CPF Minimum Sum and have a MRA shortfall at the point of withdrawal have to make a top-up to the Medisave Account with part of the balances from the Ordinary Account and/or Special Account to meet the prevailing MRA. The Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, which announced the change on Monday, also said members will continue to enjoy a risk-free interest rate of 4 per cent on their Special and Medisave Accounts (SMA) between January 1 and March 31, 2012. The interest rate is also set at 4 per cent for the Retirement Account (RA) - from January 1 to December 31, 2012. This is in line with the government's announcement made in September 2011 to maintain the 4 per cent per annum floor rate for interest earned on all SMA monies and RA monies until December 31, 2012. The CPF Board said savings in the SMA currently earn either 4 per cent or the 12-month average yield of 10-year Singapore Government Securities (10YSGS) plus 1 per cent, whichever is the higher. The interest rate on SMA savings is adjusted quarterly, based on interest rates on 10YSGS over a preceding 12-month period. The average yield of the 10YSGS plus 1 per cent from December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2011, works out to be 3.19 per cent. The SMA interest rate payable to CPF members from January 1 to March 31, 2012 will be maintained at the current floor of 4 per cent. source:http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1172162/1/.html. 5k less to take out from CPF when u retire

Hi All, I drive a Lancer. I guess I fitted the usual air perfume in a slightly tilted angle couple of days ago and it leaked and caused the paint below the a/c vents corrode and look extremely ugly That panel is a plastic item with a glossy paint and criss cross design in white paint (In short looks like carbon fibre sticker but its not stickered but painted that way). I went to C&C this morning to check if that panel can be replaced but they suggested that I try outside workshops who can do a touch up and restore the panel. Any bro's who has had experiences restoring that portion before and any recommendations. Thanks again for all your help...

I have seen and heard many time....the sporty cars owner just revved their engine and speed off straight from starting their cars. While we were taught to drive gently for the initial period to warm up the engine, and also the fact is the greatest engine wear is during start up. So cold revving of sport cars n quick acceleration will wear out the engine! So is it worth it to buy second sportcars? The sane thought I have on Harley motorcycles, these weekends bikers...usually rev and shoot off when the engines are cold. Some say their are rich to pay for repairs, some say the low mileage will not cause the wear n tear to be significant. Any one with comments n discussion?
