  1. As above... 1. Bridgestone RE001 2. DZ101 3. Michelin PS3 For those who have used at least 2 of these, which ones have the: 1- Stiffest sidewall 2- BEST wet weather grip 3- POSITIVE steering feedback in all conditions I don't care about comfort levels, etc etc, only these three things.. I've used 3 sets of RE001s for nearly 4 years over 2 different cars (a Getz and then my current Lancer Ralliart as my daily driver), so kinda lost touch with the rest of the tyre range My last set of RE001s lasted exactly a year (time to change this week) when I clocked about 55,000km so that gives you an idea of the sort of driver I am. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks :)
  2. Anyone using this model? Any feedback? Intend to get it.
  3. Hi all, mind to share somw of your advice on BS GR90 vs RE001? I am looking for next round of tyres changing for 225/50/17R. Q1. For wet gripping, which one staand better? Q2. Wear rate? Q3. Pricing how diff? Thx for sharing.
  4. Hi guys, Need some quick advice on the following. I was quoted 265 per tyre for Bridgestone Ponteza RE001, profile 225/45/R18. Trade in for my old falkens of the same offset/size at 20 each for the front tyres (used since car was first collected to 26k kms), 50 for rear tyres (used for 3k-4k kms). Not very sure of the market rate for new tyres and trade-ins so if any folks in the know could comment, it would be muchly appreciated. Also, I'm deliberating between the Continental CS3 or RE001. Which do the tyre gurus feel is better? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi all, anyone here is running on MIT Bridgestone RE001 bought from JB? Recently, I was quoted RM 235 ( SGD 98)/pc for Thailand Made RE001 at one of Listed Pro-Shop in Molek. Was told that For 15inches tires sold in JB, all are made in Thailand. I was almost had my tires changed after hearing this but decided to come back to SGP and gather some feedback before going back there again. I have no objection against Thai Made RE001 but just curious With slightly more then $100/pc for RE001 (195/50/R15), can we get it over here locally which are all Japan Made? The lowest I came across was $140/pc from Autobacs. All Feedback welcome.
  6. i'm currently on falken ze912 tyres as it came wif my 2nd hand vios..went to stamford tyres yesterday and was told tat per piece was ard $78 for 195/50/15..they seems to be pretty good tyres but i cant gauge as they already used when i got them. i was thinking of changing back to ze912 however it seems the review isnt too fantastic. i'm more concern abt the followings: 1. handling in wet conditions 2. thread wear rate comparing ze912 and eagle f1, which is a better buy? cuz they are ard the same price. as for re001 vs s-drive, i posted previously but not much replies..i understand they are in the region of $110-$120/pc and i haf good experience wif re001 previously. i dun drive hard these days as i'm driving an AT car nw..would it be an overkill to buy re001/s-drive? for ur inputs! :)
  7. looking to change tyres in a couple of mth's time..used re001 b4 however thought of trying yokohama s-drive..are they still around $110-$120/piece? how about other valued for $$$ tyres? i'm looking at 195/50/15..
  8. i've changed my re001 ard chinese new year and its reaching 19,000km mark. recently during a rainy day, i had to brake hard and i feel tat the rubbers aint holding up too well. but there are still lots of thread left. just wondering if its the rubber's problem or the road is just too wet? inputs are welcomed!
