Hi All, I have a cooking hob challenge, hope to hear some advice. My current cook hob is already about 15 yrs old, recently I am thinking of replacing it. But I faced with the limitation of the kitchen top cut-in size (800 X 430), which means I have to find a replacement hob with the identical cut-in size. My current hob is a Tecno T333TG (860 X 500, cut-in size 800 X 430), however the identical model currently available has a smaller cut-in size (690 X 390). I am avoiding altering the existing hole or worse, change entire kitchen top. I also considering other models with either cut-in width of 800 (depth lesser than 430) or depth of 430 (width lesser than 800), but wonder if it will hold. Any advice is appreciated. Many Thanks in advance. Cheers...

Hi All, Recently I was met with this incident, Long story short: Nissan guy side swiped me as he was going straight on a RIGHT TURN only lane. I was on his left. Evidence from front and back cam submitted to my workshop and claiming third party. Both side reported accident but according to workshop he said that the other side is refusing to admit fault and insisted that I turned into him which the video clearly says it isn't. Workshop mentioned the third party insurance persuaded the driver to admit liability but he refused so now the process is stuck. Workshop told me that if the Nissan driver refuses to admit fault there is nothing we can do. But if the other party has already reported the accident and evidence is secured shouldn't the third party insurance determined whether whose fault is it and deciding liability instead of needing the driver to admit his fault? Appreciate if anyone can advise on this because a simple side swipe like this already dragged on for 2 months. Seems pretty much a way for insurance company to drag out the case until you give up in the claiming process.

Hi guys, just want to ask a question. I recently changed my tyres. Ordered and installed the wrong tyre profile. Supposed to be 225/45/R18 But installed 225/40/R18 Will there be any detrimental effects on the car, tyres, or other things?

Hi people, just wanna ask a quick question. Do travel agencies help customers apply for the VISA only? Meaning we do not buy the tickets nor accommodation through them. Thanks in advance.

Question on motor insurance policy. If your own insurance allows you to go to approved workshops only (does not include AD workshop), does it mean: In the case where you are claiming 100% against another car, you can still go to any workshop (including AD workshop), since ur using another car's insurance? I am deciding between 2 insurance policies. And the difference is that one allows all workshops and the other doesn't. And the former is more expensive. Thanks.

Received email promo from Genting. S$1,276.00 [singapore Dollar] package for 2 pax - 2N stay at 1st World Hotel Superior Deluxe room - daily breakfast - Transtar coach transfer - RM3,000 non-negotiable chips/slots credit. - free upgrade to Resort Hotel for reservation before 8/11/2009. - check in 15/11/2009. The conditions is must complete 1 turn of the chips/slots credit RM3,000. Can anyone advise what is meant be "1 turn" ? Becos, I go Genting mainly for relaxation, cool weather, a little bit of jackpot, and don't intend to spend the RM3,000 in gambling. After collecting the RM3,000 chips/slots, how to convert back into RM cash. Then the package would be a very good deal, almost free hotel stay.

Hi bros.. I'm a relatively new driver. Last night i drove back home from jurong pt along boon lay way along the left lane. It was red light at the junction at boonlay way and corporation road and I stopped behind a car at the left lane. The red light remained and the green turn left arrow appeared. The car in front of me turned left and i headed forward because i thought that the traffic light turned green as well (when it was still red, which was a very stupid mistake i made, no excuse for that). Is it possible for a red light camera to be active when the green turn left arrow is on together with red light? Is there a red light camera at that particular junction? or anywhere along boon lay way near jurong pt? How long will it take for the letter to reach me if i am caught by the camera? I am in deep regrets for the potential dangers or road hazards I could have caused for this mistake and I will make sure this incident will nvr happen again.

http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking...nemap-20130617 Government just introduces a new function for Onemap to allow user to study the demographic of the country. the Central area are relatively less dense than the OCR ... And looks like it probably easier to get into school like Ai Tong/ MGS / RGS than Nan chia , Rosyth, yulang.. looking at the distribution of 0-4 year olds.

I am driving a Cerato Forte that comes with EPS. Each time when I make a turn, be it left, right or U turn, the steering wheel is very slow in centering itself. I have to counter steer back fast to avoid any collision. Also, when I turned my steering wheel when making a turn, the ratio that I turn my steering wheel and the ratio that my tyres turn is not consistent, it causes understeer. I got to turn my steering more in order to negotiate that turn. Is there anyway to adjust the steering ratio??? If yes, where to do it. ??? My mileage is 85k now. Any idea wat is wrong with the steering problem??? Thanks

When Prof Lim gave his recommendation recently, it was relentlessly attacked by all parties inclduing our political leaders but csince then changes seemed to take place though not significantly. Strange isn't it? From ST Forum: http://www.straitstimes.com/STForum/Online...ory_805130.html Praise for Prof Lim, query for NTUC Published on May 31, 2012 KUDOS to Professor Lim Chong Yah, who sparked the debate about the need to increase wages for low-income earners ('NWC: Give built-in pay rises'; last Thursday). One must then question why the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), a union that is supposed to represent Singapore workers, did not take a more proactive approach to bargain for better wages and help improve the plight of poor Singaporean workers until Prof Lim stepped in. Furthermore, a wage of $1,050 a month, even after the proposed $50 increment, still makes Singapore a country that offers one of the lowest wages among developed nations. This is hard to accept, considering the other extreme where Singapore boasts of being one of the countries with many millionaires. The $50 increment should not be just a one-off; it should apply over the next 10 years. Unless it is mandatory, some employers will not feel the need to reward these workers more, even if they are more productive. While employers are justifiably concerned about increased business costs with higher wages, labour cost is but one of the factors, another being the spiralling cost of rentals. The Government can take the lead in adjusting commercial rent downwards, through JTC and various other landlords it has a stake in, or give more rental relief to help businesses. Other business costs like the necessary operating licences should also be scrutinised to achieve savings that can be passed on to businesses, especially the small and medium-sized enterprises. Hi all, If an exhaust is installed and approved on Car A already, if a new buyer buys over Car A (with the exhaust) as a used car, does the buyer needs to do some LTA transfer/inspection again with the exhaust? Or the approved exhaust (and its documentation) follows the car, not whoever who owns it, which means there is nothing to apply whatsoever (unlike someone who buys over the approved exhaust only, and has to apply to transfer /inspect again)? cheers,

Is anyone familiar with the internal workings/ circuit layout for the headlamp. I am just curious here. Given that both headlamps are 2x setups i.e. one lowbeam and one highbeam, assuming when you flick the high beam, the low beam still stays on right? So in that case, the sudden surge of voltage, will it cause the circuitry to decrease in lifespan significantly if say one has a propensity to flick his headlamp furiously frequently? Thanks
