Hi asking for my dad. For the Non-S Cooper, how is the maintenance like? Fuel consumption, insurance and regular servicing cost (AD versus outside workshops) ? If getting used, anything to look out for? Thanks!

Hi guys, Am looking around used Mazda 3 and here are my observation on the 2nd gen, which I appreciate if current/ex owners can clarify 1) 2013 year have this "SP" and lower OMV/ARF of 16k, while 2012 year and earlier is around 20k. What caused the significant drop? 2) For the models 2012 and earlier, there is two trim level - "Normal" and "Luxury". I cant find any information online on the trim level difference, what is the extra specification found on Luxury? 3) Does either trim come with ESP?

Sorry Loki, hijack ur thread a while, as I dunno and maybe cant create a new topic. I need some advise from fellow bros & sis. I recently have been negotiating a shop rental contract with NTUC, the whole process took about 2 months. Since the 1st submission of my proposal/ concept & floor plan from the designer, I have been asked to re submit more than 10 times regarding the store layout & design. Though the process is frustrating and tiring, I sucked it up.(Cause they are a BIG ORG) The bombshell came few days ago, they rejected my application and proposal, reason being my trade in not in their consideration list. WTF..... After almost 2 months of emailing to n fro, countless drawing from my designer($150 per piece),all I get is a short and simple answer.(We regret to inform you that your propose trade is not suitable for us) In the 1st place, why waste my time on this whole shit. I would like to know which channel can I go to, to demand a better explanation. I really would like to tie all of them to a bowling pin & row over with a 18 pounder....shit.... Any input of ideas and advise will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sorry again to OT this thread.

Any recommendations for tires? Also increasing marginally from 17 to 18 any difference in performance? I was quoted after trade in rm4500 with rims and tires csc3. Is it worth it? Hi folks, I have a few queries really need you guys to clear my doubts. 1) can commercial vehicles travel on the 1st lane if is a 2/3/4/5 lanes road? 2) if there is a traffic jam, can commercial vehicle travel on the 1st lane? Reason being someone told me that as long as within speed limit they can (heavy jam) 3) if commercial vehicle is making a right turn, they can stay on the 1st lane right ? But how far can they travel on the 1st lane before making a right turn? Thanks

Dear all Seniors, Just to check........ 1) Can Toyota Corolla AE101 front rotors, calliper and master brake pump (the black round thing) direct bolt on to our EP80? Current stock brakes I find that cannot make it and I think Corolla brake kit is easier to find than EP82 brake kit. 2) Both 1.3 and 1.6 is it the same? 3) Will changing of better brake pads help (using back stock callipers and rotors)? What are the brands available and estimate cost? Thanks in advance.

Just want to check, if I'm entitle to 21 days annual leave and let say I did not take any leave thru out the year. I require 3 months notice if I want to leave the company and I tender end of Sept., therefore last day should be end Dec. If the company agrees to allow me to leave early by end of Nov instead by offsetting my leave. How many leaves will they deduct? Will I entitle to annual leave for the 3 months notice...or only 2 months? Can any experts advice? Thanks in advance....

Preferential Additional Registration Fee (PARF) The PARF rebate is computed based on the age of the car at de-registration . The age of the car is computed from the date of its registration in Singapore or its original registration in a foreign country, whichever is earlier. Imported used car registered in Singapore before 1 September 2007 is not eligible for PARF rebate. Breakdown of the PARF benefit for PARF-eligible cars is indicated in the table below: Age at Deregistration (year) PARF Rebate (A) (for cars registered with COEs obtained before May 2002 tender) PARF Rebate (B) (for cars registered with COEs obtained from May 2002 tender onwards) Not exceeding 5 130% of OMV 75% of ARF paid Above 5 but not exceeding 6 120% of OMV 70% of ARF paid Above 6 but not exceeding 7 110% of OMV 65% of ARF paid Above 7 but not exceeding 8 100% of OMV 60% of ARF paid Above 8 but not exceeding 9 90% of OMV 55% of ARF paid Above 9 but not exceeding 10 80% of OMV 50% of ARF paid Above 10 Nil Nil For cars registered with COEs obtained from March 2008 tender exercise and onwards, the Additional Registration Fee (ARF) is 100% of Open Market Value (OMV). For cars registered with COEs obtained from March 2004 to February 2008 tender exercises, the ARF is 110% of OMV. For cars registered with COEs obtained from May 2002 to February 2004, the ARF is 130% of OMV. For cars registered with COEs obtained before May 2002, the ARF is 140% of OMV. For imported used cars (only those registered in Singapore on or after 1 September 2007 will be eligible for PARF rebate), the $10,000 used car surcharge will not be taken into consideration in the computation of PARF rebate. If your car has been a weekend car or an off-peak car (OPC) since its registration, the PARF rebate is as stated above or based on what the owner had actually paid as Additional Registration Fee (ARF) at the time of its registration, whichever is lower. If your car is a converted off-peak car (OPC), additional PARF rebate may be given as follows: Lifespan as converted OPC (in months and days) X $2,200/12 LINK: http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...OE_Rebates.html QUESTION: does it mean i would have entitled to normal PARF (e.g. 50% of my ride's ARF) AND additional PARF rebate if i have converted my ride to OPC???

That day I parked by the road side, along double yellow line to pick up some items from a friend. Then I saw the parking warden came along and parked his bike ard 3 car lengths from me. I quickly get in and drove off before he had a chance to summon me. But as I was driving off, I noticed that he was looking at my car and writing down something which is most probably carplate number. My query is: Are they able to fine me without issuing the slip and putting it on my windscreen or can they just jolt down carplate number and send me the fine later?

The Ministry of Home Affairs has responded to queries from the Workers' Party regarding the Committee of Inquiry's probe into Mas Selamat Kastari's escape from detention. According to the ministry, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng has said that after the inquiry is completed, the public will get a full account of how Mas Selamat escaped and what has been done to tighten security to prevent a repeat of such incident. In a statement to the media, the chairman of the Workers' Party, Sylvia Lim, had asked if the public would be given full information as the committee was convened under the Prisons Act. She said under the Act, such inquiries are not open to the public and that no part of the proceedings may be released to anyone without the minister's written permission. - CNA/ac http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../334278/1/.html so we'll wait. till the day MAS is caught...

Hi bros, Need to ask some queries about CPF contribution. My cousin is currently in the uniformed group and his contract is ending in 2 months time. Next week he'll be clearing leave till he end his contract. He got a job offer and the company wanted him to start soon, so he was thinking since he's clearing leave, he might as well join the company. Is it an offence to start a new job while he's on leave? As he'll still be geting his salary while clearing leave, will the CPF board allowed a double CPF contribution for him by his current employer and the new company? WIll his current employer ever finds out if he's working while clearing his leave, even though he'll just keep quite about it? Hope you guys can give some advise. As this will be his new job after 10 years in the uniformed group, he hoped to start a fresh with a new company and a new working environment. He's afraid he might not easily get another job opportunity again.

Today had another query about my ride. Drove my ride to the pick up point at the lift lobby and while waiting outside some guy came up to me and asked me what car is this; I told him about it and shared with him about what make, type and the engine under the hood, even opened the back seat doors to show him that this is a LWB(Long Wheel Based) car. He was impressed will be going online to find out more about the car. He step at different angles to look at the car and said that it was a nice looking car before he left.

Hi bros, I'm must say I'm pretty new in ICE and i really need help in some stuff. Well, I'm currently shopping around for DVD players in the car and due to budget constrains, I've been looking for second hand head units. I've been quoted $1500 for the following: A second hand Pioneer AVX-7000 together with AVM p9000r(i assume?) and a XDV-p90 DVD changer. I think it also includes an analogue tv tuner but i don't know the details of it. Can you guys please advise? I'm also looking at first hand JVC KD-AVX1 and Pioneer DVH P-5850MP then intend to add a monitor to it or something. Any guys have any experiences with the sound quality of them? Please advice. Pardon the long thread. Hee...
