Sometime back, not too long ago, our authorities call our local scholars who break their bonds or leave singapore QUITTERS BUT what about free scholarships given to foreign studies (very generously) - a significant portion of them quit and did not pay back - authorities write off as lost SO WHAT DO YOU CALL THESE PEOPLE why the authorities dont "brand" them like the locals for your information some of friends were force to quit by PSC because they refuse them to pursue higher studies and were made to pay damages in tune of 10% interest per year in addition, the authorities have double standards calling people quitters when they go overseas and give free scholarships arent they causing people to quitters of their own country too i can never understand our government i am really trying

July 21, 2008 1,000 S'poreans give up citizenship each year AN AVERAGE of about 1,000 Singapore gave up their citizenship each year in the last three years, said Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng on Monday. The reasons they renounced their Singapore citizenship ranged from marriage to foreigners to yearning for a different environment, he said in his written reply to a question from from Non-Constituency MP Sylvia Lim, who wanted to know how many Singaporeans had emigrated in the last three years. Most of them took up new citizenship in countries in Southeast-Asia, the United States of America and Australia. Mr Wong said Singaporeans who emigrate generally do not declare this to the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) when they leave. The only available data which gives an indication of the number of emigrants from Singapore is the number of Singaporeans who have given up their citizenship and left Singapore. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2...ry_259877.html i think we need WWE to save the ingenious kaisu singaporean. in another 5 more years, it will b a extinct breed of human. ----------
