So despite a long flight that wasn't enjoyable, my wife has decided she had enough fun to want to go through another. This time we will do a shorter flight and go somewhere with reasonably cool weather (baby loves the cold), and get a car.. Because she want to bring that mega cot again! haha So it's middle of March 2024, 6 days in Perth Australia and I will appreciate tips and advice again on places to go and stay. I've got tickets sorted, plus a rental car with an infant seat. My MIL will be going again too - brave lady, haha Now both wife and I have been to Perth a few times, so the city itself isn't very interesting, and we will want to stay in a same region, ideally even the same hotel / cabin throughout. QUESTIONS: Accommodations: So if we wish to do a farm stay, the Swan Valley area looks alright? - Anyone done farm stays before and has places to recommend? - I think we can go for two hotel rooms, OR a whole lodge / farm cottage for ourselves - ideally these have a small kitchen to prepare baby's food, not far from amenities eg Coles / Woolsworth supermarket? - Settler's Farm Stay - the only issue is that they don't have room for the whole stay, so I may have to get one night at the beginning elsewhere first -- does anyone have experience with this place? Attractions: Any tips on flying with a very active two year old - during the last flight, the entire aisle was the playground, haha I booked an infant seat and specified 2 years old, is their infant seat ok? Do I need deep cleaning? Any other attractions or recommended farm stays? Places to go - hiking? - markets? - Rottnest Island - is it any good for a two year old? - Caversham Wildlife Reserve - alpacas, and other animals (a few people have mentioned it) - visit Fremantle market (Fremantle Markets is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s also open on Monday public holidays) Thanks again!

Hi Guys, Planning to go to Perth for a free and easy trip in early december this year. Can anyone recommend me where can I book best pricing car? Preferably online. Thinking of booking a camry size car as we have 4 adult and 2 children (age 5 and 7). Will definitely travel out of Perth but not going to Albany as it's too rush for less than a week trip. Thanks.

A long hiatus from my regular car filming as you might had noticed, if you had been following my YouTube channel, I haven't been working on any car related filming for quite some time. Basically I had not had a good supply of cars of interest to film, and also because I just started on video blogging for my channel. Amazingly I had the opportunity to work with an Australia mate who would collaborate with me on the shooting, while I edit / produce the final film. This is our first collaborated YouTube video.. Do check this out, great beautiful car ! https://youtu.be/V9x0B_3y4TE

After seeing some of the seniors comments here, I decided to give WA a try. Just came back from an awesome trip from Western Australia, I must say it is trip I will never forget. Lovely place, with nice people, nice beaches, nice mountains and breath taking landscape of the nature. Thought I share the highlights here for all to view. Went to: Perth: Blue Boat Shed, Casino and Kmart Shopping { https://watravelblog.com/attractions/crown-casino-perth/ } Fremantle: Rottnest Island (Must Go), Kaili's fish market and harbour Lancelin: Beautiful stop over at Verge 301, and of course Lancelin Sand Dune for sand boarding. { https://watravelblog.com/attractions/lancelin-sand-dunes/ } Burnbury: Wildlife Park( great chance to have lots of contact with kangaroos ) Mandurah: For the wrong reason though, son got sick, sent him to the hospital there (waiting time is like 3 hours just to take a blood test) Busselton: Busselton Jetty of course! Dunsborouh: Whale Watching (not so nice though), Sugarloaf (Must Go), Cape Naturaliste lighthouse Augusta: Cape Leeuwin and Hamelin Bay (for their wild stingrays which swim to the shore line) { https://watravelblog.com/attractions/cape-leeuwin-lighthouse/ } Margaret River: Chocolate factory, animal farm, winery and lots of drive around { https://watravelblog.com/attractions/sunflower-animal-farm/ } Denmark: Green Pool, Elephant Rocks and Valley of Giants and Albany: Two People Bay, The Gap, Natural Bridge, Blowhole, wind farm and Emu point {https://watravelblog.com/attractions/things-to-do-in-albany/ } I missed Esperance and Pinnacle as I really did not have the time to go so many places. Anyway, I created a website to pen down all my adventures, tips and advice. Still in the making so only 10 pages or so. More to come when I have more time to write down. https://watravelblog.com/

I'm taking my family to Perth during the above mentioned period and this would be a self drive holiday. I have a total of 8 pax (5 adults & 3 children aged 3, 6 & 9). Planning to pick up the MPV at Perth Airport and was looking at rental websites from Thrifty, Budget and Avis with Thrifty being the cheapest. Also considering a Toyota Commuter minibus. This is my virgin self drive holiday so would appreciate advise from all who have been and driven there like which is the best vehicle rental company you experienced with and the things to lookout for while driving there. Also I'm confused with the additional costs that the rental website like excess reduction, loss damage waiver and "protection" packages. Any of these that I should take or these are not necessary? So fire away...

I had booked air tickets to Perth in April for 10 days. Planning to do a road trip. I like free and easy. As this is my first time to Aus, would like to find out more. Few questions: 1. Visa, When should I get it done? What are the charges and procedures? Can it be done online? 2. Transport. I am looking to rent a car but on second thoughts, was considering a camper van which I can stay in. Is it safe? 3. Attractions to recommend? Skip the bustling city please. I want something peaceful and relaxing. Prefer sea view, landscapes. What are the must see locations? Trip advisor seems to recommend alot on museum (no no for me, I might fall asleep). There are so many choices and I guess I might not have the time to do all the sightseeing. Is Rottnest worth 1-2 days? Accommodations? I know it is a bad idea to only walk in and do bookings but as we are doing road trip it becomes a hassle to do any advance bookings. (Back to question of camper van) I had been given some advice by friends not sure how true it is: Do not drive after 5-6 pm (Dangers such as kangaroo or lousy view) Doing road trip, just randomly walk up to backpacker inns Lastly, please recommend me places for cheap seafood!! Especially oysters!!

COLIN Zampatti, nephew of fashion designer Carla Zampatti, has been charged with drink driving after slamming his $300,000 Ferrari into a traffic light. Colin Zampatti, crashed his Ferrari 360 Spider outside the pub, on the corner of Mends St and Mill Point Rd in South Perth, about 7pm (WDT) on Sunday. Mr Zampatti, 42, has now been charged with driving under the influence, a charge which only applies over a 0.15 blood alcohol level

Recently attended a Ralliart Driver's Training organised by the dealership and I'll have to say it is the best $100 modification I've spent on this car. To all the 18 year olds with P plates as well as the others. Please do not post a thread asking where you can get the largest turbo or the best performance mod per buck. All the performance modifications will be useless on the track because it requires, skill and not horsepower. Please I urge all the 2F2F wannabes talking about 99 pratas or OG to go to the track and do 2 laps at least. The track experience will speak for itself because when your car spin out, I really hope you are taking your car for a ride and not your car taking you for a ride. On the track we had 2 cars that spung out with 1 who overtook me as it was modified, quicker and more aggressive but spung out on Shell corner resulting in me E-braking to avoid ramming him from the side. Funny thing was that the car looks promising during the corner till it broke rear traction and spung out. Caught me by surprise by definitely caught the driver even more because he did not attempt to counter steer. Note: This guy is a regular at the track. Those who think its easy, please please please modify yourself first before talking about power upgrades. After the track experience, I find myself taking much more caution on the road in knowing the consequences of malhandling the car. We had the Slalom course and Apex practice. I did 3 laps in tarmac mode and last in Gravel mode. Clipped 2 cones with gravel mode due to tail happy distribution set up. [/img]
