A People's Action Party MP called on his organisation to consider legal action yesterday after "vicious" edits were made to its Wikipedia page. Tampines GRC MP Baey Yam Keng spoke out after a user of the website changed the name of the party to "Party Against People" and added lines such as "down with the fascists" and "vote for Opposition" into the text. According to the page's publicly available editing history, the user who first made the changes appeared to have done so on Wednesday afternoon under the name "AlikVesilev". The user claimed that "proof of (the PAP's) suppression of freedom of speech" was demonstrated by the sacking of blogger Roy Ngerng by Tan Tock Seng Hospital this week, a move later backed by the Ministry of Health. - See more at: http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/more-singapore-stories/story/vicious-edits-paps-wikipedia-page-20140613#sthash.itb2GvC9.dpuf

Within a day of its set up, the PAP Confessions page on Facebook has already gone viral. The page has garnered close to 2,700 'Likes'. When contacted via the Facebook page, one of the page administrators responded and claimed that there were four people behind the page. The administrator said while they hope the page makes waves, they will filter out any defamatory postings. They say the point of the page is to provide an anonymous platform for PAP members and associates to voice out what they may otherwise be unable to. The page administrator also claimed that three of them are active members of the PAP, and have been party members for 12 to 35 years. One post on the page is the main reason it has gone viral. It is an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister and signed off by a "Tan Ah Kow". So far, the posting has been shared by almost 5,000 people, liked by more than 6,000 and received close to 600 comments. The writer claims to be a grassroots leader. Response to the letter has been mixed, with some supporters, some skeptics and some who think that the Confessions page phenomenon has gone a little too far. When asked what they had to say to those doubting the credibility of the postings, the page administrator said: "It would take a leap of faith and judgement should be passed on the content rather than the person posting it." http://www.tnp.sg/trending/content/pap-con...page-goes-viral Here is the letter from "Tan Ah Kow" taken from the facebook of PAP Confessions. A lengthy but well written article. Letter from a Grassroots Leader to PM Dear Prime Minister, I am one of your grassroots leader. I've voluntereed and served in one of your constituency for the last 20 years. I've had these thoughts percolating in my mind for many months. With what I observed in the last 2 weeks, starting with the Punggol BE then the White Paper, I decided to take the risk and go ahead and send this letter to you. I hope you do not take any of these the wrong way. After the GE2011 elections, the PAP was dealt a big blow with the unprecedented loss of a GRC. You did a post-mortem with us, and with your MPs. One of the message we tried to send you then was: You (meaning the PAP leadership) just didn't listen to us. We told you there were many problems on the ground, you did not listen. After the GE, you said PAP will change. The next challenge came in Hougang BE. You picked a great PAP candidate and for a while, we thought he could pull off a win. But against the advice of the candidate and the PAP grassroots, you deployed your big guns (KBW, TCH etc) and hijacked the message on the ground. You did not listen. The Punggol BE decisive loss was unexpected. The PAP grassroots told you to send one of us, a grassroots type person, to the fight. You chose to parachute in an unknown, someone who just joined the party weeks ago. He commited gaffe after gaffe. You did not listen. And right after the Punggol BE, you unveiled the White Paper. I know that those close to you, including the mainstream media, are praising you for daring to take on the problems of the future, of not sweeping things aside. But let me tell you this : I think you, and your top leadership, screwed up big time. I am sorry I have to use this language. You see, I'm a business leader too. I know what its like to be surrounded by people reporting to you, who are naturally disposed to tell you what you want to hear. Or are all molded in the same way. I am outside your

I am using a Page Guard car alarm model PG8000s and my remote is not working today. The alarm sounded non stop after I used factory remote to open car door. I cut off the wire connecting to the siren but the blinking of light remains. I lost the instruction manual and I remember there is an instruction on how to deactivate the alarm by pressing the red button on the dash of the car. Could anyone help me on this?

Business Times - 11 Apr 2012 You may have to splash out more for that M'sian property KL could raise floor price for foreigners purchasing homes By PAULINE NG IN KUALA LUMPUR SINGAPOREANS looking to buy properties in Malaysia may see the bar raised. Malaysia is mulling a two-fold increase to the floor price of residential properties purchased by foreigners in a bid to prevent prices from spiralling too rapidly. The possibility of a revision to existing guidelines to raise the minimum price to RM1 million (S$417,000) from RM500,000 was flagged by The Star. In a report yesterday, the local daily cited unnamed sources as saying that the measure was 'in the pipeline', with a forthcoming announcement to be made by Nor Mohamed Yakcop, minister in the Prime Minister's department heading the Economic Planning Unit. It did not say when it would be implemented. One of the sources told The Star that selected growth corridors such as Iskandar Malaysia might be less affected by the proposal, in that a lesser minimum threshold might be applied - RM800,000 for example - to assist with their development success. The government has continued to come under pressure over affordability issues despite recent measures to cool the property market. Pushing the floor price up for foreign buyers - especially in landed properties - could be a welcome move in the eyes of young middle-class Malaysians frustrated with soaring real estate prices when starting salaries have advanced little in two decades. Many believe that foreigners have little difficulty stumping out RM500,000 for homes because their currencies tend to be much stronger. Property consultants say they were aware of the possibility of the new rules, but believe that the move is still at the proposal stage. 'It's a flyer to check public response. Not all states will agree,' Malaysia Property Inc chief executive Kumar Tharmalingam told BT. Foreign buyers of Malaysian property come mainly from China, Singapore, Japan and South Korea, the newspaper said. Even so, foreigners only account for an estimated 2 per cent of the residential market which saw robust growth last year. The volume and value of properties sold last year was the highest in the past five years, according to the Property Market Report 2011 by the Finance Ministry's Valuation and Property Services Department, rising by 19 and 22 per cent respectively from a year ago. Landed property remain popular. They recorded the biggest jump in prices last year, with link houses in Kuala Lumpur registering gains of 8-13 per cent, according to the 2011 property report. Following a revision in lending guidelines this year that benchmark an applicant's criteria to meet his loan obligations against his net rather than gross income, bankers and property players have reported slower loan applications and a softer market, with the rejection rate estimated at 20 per cent. Some reckon that the central bank ought to have tightened lending criteria a year or two ago as ample liquidity and easy credit terms encouraged speculators to buy with a view to flipping the properties before the payments were due. Owing to high take-up rates, developers continued to build and to raise prices. But going by the assortment of auction notices found around the suburbs, many borrowers appear to have defaulted on their loans, especially those taken for apartments.
