Man shot dead by police in Outram Park MRT By Elena Chong & Carolyn Quek A MAN was shot dead by a police officer at the North-East Line platform in Outram Park MRT station at about 3.35 pm on Thursday. An eyewitness, who saw the shooting incident, told The Straits Times that he was waiting at the platform for a Punggol-bound train, when he heard a policeman running after the man and shouting at him. "Moments later, there was a commotion. Then I saw the policeman drawing his gun and shooting the man in the chest. It was very scary!" said Mr Henley Ho, 32, who was waiting on the NEL platform. Police spokesman Danny Tan later told reporters at the scene that the man, aged 43, had tried to attack the cop with a dagger. The weapon was found near the man's slumped body, now covered with a white plastic sheet. The spokesman said the man had earlier stabbed a middle-aged man at Jalan Kukoh, not far away from the Outram Park MRT station, over a dispute. The dead man's nationality is not known. OMG, just watched the channel 8 news and discovered that another bloody hell drunk driver has killed one PRC woman while she crossing the road.... she died on the spot...but the bloody driver refused to stop after the accident and drove off his car from the scene....but lucky someone spotted his car and rang the police.... just after 2 hours, he (the drunk driver) turn himslef to the police...and was confirmed by the police that he was tested positive for drunk driving... then...according to the local chinese newspaper (Wan Bao), some eye witness has saw one of the eye ball was fallen from the prc woman....man, that's was sad damm...hope this driver will ban for driving for the rest of his left and give him max sentence....

Hi MCFers, I am trying to find out something here. Posted under Lite & Ezy but guess not many surf there thus decided to try here. Does anyone has any idea on where can we apply for monthly season parking at the car park just next to Outram MRT is? Is is the place where the market is located & how much are the charges monthly? Many Thanks!
