Hi all, For those who are keen, you may refer to the link below Witson Audio System for Octy A5 This brand Witson often OEM for VW car and receive quite good review from the vagsg forum. I have asked about the pricing: USD 325 for the system (with built-in GPS, and IGO map for singapore) + USD 25 (rear view camera) + USD 70 (shipping by DHL). It is supposed to fix seamlessly into Octy A5, but I suspect may need another bracket which can be ordered online from those European parts supplier. I am not really looking to buy now, but since I come across this website, just share share only. And btw, it is touchscreen ha!

hey guys, discovered a cool feature yesterday ( Dunno whether it was mentioned before) .... If I use my key to lock the door , and I hold the key in the 2 o'clock position, any wound down windows will wind up !! Vice versa !! At the same time also tested the safety feature of the window. Put my wallet at the top of the window ; once the window hit the wallet, it will wind back down

Hi all, Wasn't trying to sell my almost 6 year-old Octy A4 1.6M but a dealer saw my car today and offered a fairly reasonable price on the spot so makes me think of selling again. If I can get a good offer for my accessories, likely will sell. I hope to sell all the items as a package (looking at above $1k). - MS Design full bodykit with spoiler (many scratches, especially below front bumper, will be swee-swee after respray) - MS Design exhaust (LTA approved) - Eibech/Bilstein lowered springs and suspension (plus another pair of spare sports front suspension - brand unknown) - VW Golf Strut bar (believe this is what they are called, those under the bonnet) - Anything else as long as replaced or not required by dealer (eg. 17" rims and high performance tires) Please refer to link for pictures taken a while ago. http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi...516292;#1516292 Jeremy (please email [email protected] as I will be travelling overseas before end of week)

Thinking of doing it before my insurance renewal.... $50 Car was manufactured in 2000. 7yr old windscreen Lots of scratches, etc. What do you guys think? Time to have it replaced? Or stick with it (if it ain't broken don't fix it)

Yo Bros, especially Octy A5s - just gotten some terrific help from a LED Guru who had been able to customise the white LED for our Octy A5 rear licence plate light. Background: As you know, the Octavia A5s operates somewhat like Audi and VW: the ECU tends to shutdown the norm LED thinking the bulb is not working as LED draws lesser current than the standard. Those whos interested to view - let me know har.. either we can meet somewhere, or I will dropby the next meetup (need to collect stuff from Bro limlien :P)

Today, I brought my 2 month old Octy to chiong NSH to KL. Takes half a tank but knowing the Octy tank, the other half would definitely NOT bring me back to Singapore. Definitely feels more lively & eager to go compared to my previous Sunny. No problems with overtaking buses as the car is heavy & stable but if buses overtake you .... Once the front of the bus passes your butt at arnd 110kmh, you'll feel like being pushed from behind Easily 140kmh & can still pickup more speed if I step on it but with speed traps & rain .... However, with the absence of the 5th gear, engine rpm hits abt 3,500rpm at 140kmh.

This octy had some problems with scratches and watermarks. Condition on the three horizontal panels (bonnet, roof n boot) was quite bad with all the watermark etchings. This three areas therefore received closer attention compared to other side panels from my rotary: 1) Powergloss n Rotary with orange LC pad 2) Intensive Polish n Rotary wif grey LC pad 3) PO106FF n Rotary wif grey LC pad The rest of the panels got the following treatment: 1) Intensive polish n PC with orange LC pad 2) PO106FF n PC with white LC pad After washing again to remove the polishing dust, 1) DA with grey LC pad n CG's EZ creme glaze 2) 2x Factory Sealant Pics of scratches before n after:
