Eh guys really stupid question. I want to watch top gun later in an hour. So the seating plan the theater is only 10% full. If I buy online it's 10.5+1.5 dollars. If I go to the actual kiosk there at the cinema it should be $10.5 right? Haha feel like an idiot. My last movie was like 3 years ago or something. The last SW Movie.

Recently I had the chance to travel to the UK for some "work", naturally, I had to extend my stay but unfortunately due to ticketing costs, could only extend it by one extra day. What are rights? I googled, read all the shares technical jargon but still don't understand... real noob here :p 1) let say, I've been allocated 100 rights share... if I take up, I pay $7.65 x 100. upon ex-rights, these 100 shares will be automatically go into my CDP as normal shares and I can trade it as normal trading price after that ? 2) if I don't take up, it will not convert into cash for me, right? 3) Excess rights... what is this? Any shares guru can help a bit?

Hi all, planning to make a first purchase of a car with ~1 year coe left before I go overseas. Was wondering about car loan, say the car I plan to purchase has low depreciation due to high omv. But i'm unable to afford the installment since the selling price is high and loan term is short. Is it possible to get a loan for the selling car price minus 55% omv value? Or would that be considered balloon scheme?

Dear all, All along my wiper is changed by the AD who just change the just normal black rubber but costing a bomb. Can any member intro me what is a good brand and place to get wiper for. Hi all, need some advice here. noone in my family has ever drove a vehicle until 10 yrs up so very unsure. My bro's kangoo van 10 years up in one week. so what happens? He is definately giving up driving so confirm wont be renewing COE plus the van has some probs, the worst is a leaking radiator tank. He asked around and scrap value if $300. Here comes the noob question. You think in this market, any dealers will want to buy? Is there any way to milk out more than $300 from this? thanks. noob rite? I told you...

Hi all gurus, my car is running stock system now.. only change the HU to a Pioneer bought at Mustafa.. cannot rmb the model.. I was at a car audio shop yesterday and i enquired about basic ICE systems.. The guy told me its $380 for Lightning and $445 for Hertz.. They include 2x speakers, 2x tweeters, cables and installation. I wanna ask if it is reasonable price and are there any cheaper alternatives because i am not looking to spen too much on ice. Actually what i want is very simple la.. juz a upgrade from my stock is ok liao.. haha.. i am an easily statisfied person.. not looking to add a subwoofer cos boot space not much.. maybe will add a amp.. how much will a amp cost by the way? can put 2nd hand ones? appreciate all gurus advice on this as really noob on this.. thanks!!

am thinking about doing some slight upgrades to the sound system in my dc5, but have no idea what to start with. I suppose the first thing to do is to buy a better HU (maybe the 9887, but where to get it from now?) than the cheap pioneer I have now, but what after that? I'm really not looking at installing any woofers and if possible, amps as well, not in the short term at least. Is something like this doable? Or should I just stick with my stock setup and forget about doing any upgrades?

There has been much debate about jobs, money, cpf not enough for retirement, retrenchment, stressful jobs. Has anyone tot of starting their own business? And what advice would you have for a noobie to start up a new business. Let's assume capital is between $50K to $120K which most mid career people would have and most at risk of retrenchment.

Hi Guys, Appreciate some kind advice on an issue I'm facing. Just fixed up a 4CH amp onto my system (its JDM head unit). My layman understanding of an amp is that it should boost the sound levels/enhance the quality of sound. However after fixing up, the front speakers are as I thought, but the back speakers have become much softer. In fact, softer than before an amp was installed. Can anyone advice me what's wrong before I bring it back to the workshop? Don't wanna be carrot chopped. Also appreciate advice in layman terms pls....not too much of a technical person. Cheers!

hi bros.i really would consider myself to buy a 2ndhand car.car which im looking at is hyundai getz 1.1m which cost abt 18k for the opc yr 2006 registered car.i'll be taking the OPC scheme cause my work is shift work,so i dont really need to drive during 7am to 7pm.and other than the cost of the loan per month,what other cost should i consider monthly that can seriouly damage my wallet??like insurance??cause i dont really know how the system works here as im a foreigner.thanks so much bro for u explanation,really appreciate it =)

Lets say if my new work place do not have any more season parking lots, then just across the road there is hdb, am I allow to purchase season parking for HDB there or only residents at the area have the rights to purchase them? Just now along AYE lane 1. Spotted 1 road hogger, best thing is he/she didnt switch on headlights. How i know? becos i was behind him, the rear lights not on either. So i flash him to remind him to switch on headlights and also that he is hogging. Guess the message didnt get across, so i overtake him from the left and when i was in front of him, i switch off my lights and on again hoping he catch wat i mean. no response from him either, dun care leow, i sped off to head home. From far, i can see in rear view mirror, a taxi behind him this time with FULL hi beam on him, but he still no reaction..... this kinda noob driver also have

Normally price quote is in set of 2 or 4? Does it include brake cables? Brake Disc included, how many? Brake fluid? Brake pad included? Do we need to re-balance the wheels? Do we need to check alignment steering? What happen if we closed the deal but during fitment the rims cannot fit? Any extra labour charge for the refitment after rim change? Will it void warranty from the AD? Thank you

Hi I have using my stock (HU and speakers) since 4 years ago (Vios). The HU is extremely useless...cant even play mp3. I have to burn my mp3 to convert in audio CD using my PC. Now i decided to use my budget $500, i noes it is not much. But i was hoping to get some upgrades. No point i buy a good HU but cheap speakers so i was hoping to balance out. Requirement (Generally listen slow songs like Fish Leong and some rock songs as well) 1) I need a HU that can play mp3/CD (No need pretty LCD or DVD at all) Music quality important 2) I see my friends using his HU to play songs straight from his thumb drive but most of the time i see in forum that ppl are using ipod to drive? I guess Ipod quality is much better, so i hope to have ipod compability HU. Lastly pls recommend me to some HU shops, i do not wish to go to some shops where they carrot me like hell cos i am noob. U can pm me the shops name/address if u do not wish post in the thread. Thanks for help!!

Hey folks, I just went to pump at my petrol station this morning. I made 2 observations: 1) My front driver side tyre pressure is about 10kpa less than the passenger side tyre when measured by the pump before it fills up to correct pressure. Is this normal? I drive alone most of the time, so it is right side heavy most of the time. 2) To test if the pressure I pumped is correct, I pushed in the probe a 2nd time after pumping for all the tyres. Realised that the pressure is immediately lower than what I pumped earlier (about 5-10kpa difference). Is this normal due to the pressure loss when inserting and removing the probe? So if my desired pressure is 220kpa, should I set the meter at 230kpa, so that I can take into account the pressure lost in removing the probe? Thanks for any help to a noob driver like me.

Noticed there are two kinds of warnings on the expressways. There are those which are in rather small lettering under the expressway sign that says "Camera Zone", while there are those big signs the say "Speed Camera Ahead" or something like that. I do notice the big stationary cameras mounted in the center divider after I pass by those big signs, but can't see any around those areas that say "Camera Zone". So what are these camera zones? Do they mean speed camera, or just mean surveillance cams mounted on lampposts to monitor traffic? The other qn is.. which direction is the speed camera mounted at the center divider aiming at? Should I slow down before or after the camera, and at what distance? Tks for helping a noob.

My current setup: HU kenwood mpx4070, pair of 4" on dash speakers, rear doors not sure what speakers but size about 5 1/4". Thinking of changing front dash to 2-way speakers, and rear to a better rated 3-way speakers? will i get any improvement over my current setup? tks

Had been thinking of changing my stock Sunny's speaker for some time. Last week while opening up my door panel to check out the stock speakers 6.5", noticed that it is mopunted to the door by 3 screws at the 12,4 and 8 o'clock positions. I have seen pioneer speakers of the same size with 4 screw holes. Worried that if I get a set of speakers with a different position for the mounting screws, will be unable to fix it onto the door. What is the solution if I were to encounter such a problem. Maybe a very elementary question but this is my first time thinking of DIY such a thing, please enlighten me. Thanks.
