Flavio Briatore has revealed he has no intention of attempting to reconcile his broken relationship with former F1 colleague Max Mosley. In his last year of FIA presidency in 2009, Mosley oversaw the imposition of ousted Renault team boss Briatore's lifetime ban over the crashgate scandal. But Mosley has since turned 70 and is now effectively retired, replaced by Jean Todt who has halted crashgate by agreeing to end Briatore's ban in 2013. Italian Briatore, now 60, also celebrated a birthday this month, and is currently at home with his model wife Elisabetta and their newly born son Falco. But he told the Italian magazine Chi that he is not interested in making up with Mosley. "He sent me a text message to congratulate us on the birth of Falco, but Mosley is part of my former life. In my future there will be no place for him," said Briatore. "I'm happy for Jean (Todt)," the Italian added, "my friend of 20 years. Thanks to him, the FIA can now quietly and serenely breathe new air." Briatore, who has always maintained his innocence despite conspirators Pat Symonds and Nelson Piquet admitting to plotting the deliberate crash of Singapore 2008, said he is not about to forgive the stain on his reputation. "It was very bad for my story. I suffered an injustice. But the truth, the power of the truth, wins every time," he insisted.

from STI: LONDON - MAX Mosley has played down Lewis Hamilton's impact on Formula One, despite the rookie's brilliant season. In fact, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) president is wary that the Briton could have a negative effect, a la Michael Schumacher, if he continues to be as successful. Driving under McLaren, Hamilton had finished second, only one point behind Finnish champion Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari. Said Mosley, who is known to be at odds with McLaren boss Ron Dennis: 'I think there's a tendency to exaggerate the importance of Lewis Hamilton. 'If he does the same thing next season as he's done this season, it will certainly have a big effect. 'It will start to be negative because we'll get the Schumacher effect where people start writing to me saying, 'Can't you do something to slow him down?'' The German had dominated the sport in the late 1990s and early this decade, winning seven Formula One titles. Hamilton shot to stardom this season, with four wins and nine podium finishes in a row in his opening nine races. But Mosley is not impressed, saying on The BBC: 'There is always somebody new. If it wasn't him, it would be either Nico Rosberg or Robert Kubica.' Still, he described the season, which saw a three-way title climax, as 'very positive' in adding to the general interest. This is despite the controversies plaguing the sport, such as the spy-gate saga. McLaren were fined US$100 million (S$145 million) and thrown out of the constructors' championship after being found guilty of possessing confidential Ferrari technical information. Asked if he thought Hamilton had known more about the data than was revealed, Mosley said: 'It would be surprising if he didn't, but I've absolutely no evidence that he had.' ------------ Max seems to be at odds with McLaren again by making these remarks i wonder if he had said what he said when Schummi is winning with Ferrari? i guess Max has to come clean that he dun like Ron, and will make life difficult for him. just IMHO cheers
