Just having a random thought about getting blind-spot mirrors(round button-like) and technically it seems like a good device/aid to have. But i'm just wondering if it really does help for the lookout given the small area used on your side mirror? It seems like nobody uses them at all.

An uncivil Honda driver broke my car side mirrors because I parked my car in his parking area in a private housing area.http://youtu.be/3mPjeSJMqL4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mPjeSJMqL4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8gMso5kpKs

Hi all, anyone using this as shown in the picture? Am thinking of getting a pair for my car particularly for my left side mirror, as my right side i can just tilt my head and take a glance quickly. Left side abit difficult as i will need to turn my head entirely to check for blind spot. I suppose Autobacs have it. Any particular brand/type to recommend? How do we 'attach' this blind spot mirror onto the side mirror by the way?

Hi, I realise the version of vitz that I am getting is manual mirror adjustment. As the car is shared among the family member, I was thinking whether or not can add one of our own since vitz do have such option available. Any bro know where can get? Thanks!

I believe when we do reversing, most/all cars have stock rear view/wing/doorside mirrors that do not allow us to watch where the rear wheels go. This may be an oversight by the manufacturers. Some overcome this with extra mirrors/camera. However, unless we already have a need to reverse park, drive-in parking is easier and save fuel. It seems most people prefer to do reverse parking. More fun?

hv noticed many motorists simply bo chup n cant be bothered 2 move their head n eyes, to check both mirrors wen driving, stay at lane 1 n cant b bothered tat they are slow n holding back others, cut into other lanes without checking blindspots, guess wif TP concentrating on speedsters, these bo chup drivers are causing more accidents than we know. especially tos tat keep stepping on brakes eventhou no car or bike infront of dem, mayb dey can see ghosts infront of dem hahahhaha how many bro n sis here wish ur car equipped like james bond's car n can fire a missile at tis bochup kuku drivers

I have been using newspaper to clean the windows and mirrors. Newspaper is effective for cleaning up glass and mirror but I am not that sure if the side windows are also glass or plastic. Side window material is differ from car makes or pretty standard material? So far I do not notice any adverse effect on the side windows but dunno about long term.

Honestly never knew this until today. Was trying to park and adjusted right mirror downwards to see the ground more while parking. So the mirror adjustment knob was switched to the Right mirror position and when I adjusted it down, to my surprise both my Right AND LEFT mirrors both adjusted downwards for parking mode!! I know some cars when you set it to reverse it automatically adjusts down, but never knew that about the Skoda until today!! Even though it is manually done, but that is quite thoughtful. Wanted to share this with fellow Skodians here. I called Jaffa to tell him about this and he told me this is available for most VAG cars if they are not auto adjustment on reverse, it is in the Octavia too.

Have you ever experienced a situation when you have parked in a tight spot and find it difficult to get out of your own car and then you have to squeeze between someone's car and your own? The only way out is to either fold the mirror and then walk through. Sometimes, I notice that the other car is improperly parked in the parking lot, squeezing your own parking lot. When this happens, I fold their door mirror (partly in annoyance) so that I can walk out. However, if I am parked next to a pillar (like HDB hub), then I have no choice but to fold my own door mirror. What would you do? Also, do you feel it is wrong to fold another car's door mirror.

OK it has been raining. I tried experimenting with the demister/heater. The A/C is so cold it is fogging up the rear window. I drove to pick up my daughter. Didn't turn off engine and touched the side mirrors. Egad! They are not warm. They are hot! Not enough to burn you but hot. I recommend using them when it rains. Dries the rain drops on them. Couple this with RainX on the side windows, you get superior visibility.

According to the manual it does. I tried to (used a slight bit of force) but it refused to budge even a centimetre. Or is the manual incorrect?

Just out of curiosity, how many Aveo owners out there know that this car has heated wing mirrors?

Must a car have side mirrors to be driven in Singapore? Is it an offense for a car not to have? I think with a large rear mirror, it is sufficient to drive safely.
