Just wanna to share this video clip I come across. The tests was conducted by Auto-Zone from Taiwan sometime ago. They took 4 types of eco tyres - Michellin, Bridgestone, Yokohama Bluearth and Maxxis to test their grips on wet/dry conditions, brake effectiveness & fuel saving, etc. The end result Yokohama Bluearth AE50 is best among the other 3 - see attached result. See below the video clip last for 33 minutes and in mandarin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qff1Bt7hk6c

In case you are not in the loop, or never pass by the above petrol kiosk today, there is a free tyre wear check done by Michelin tyres. It takes only about 5 minutes and you do not need to leave your car. After the check, you will get a goodie bag that have 4 tyre caps and a digital tyre gauge among other freebies like keychain, stickers, etc. They will check all your tyres pressure, and their inner and outer wear depth. This is good as it will allow you to know whether your tyres are inflated at the correct pressure, thus ensuring proper wearing and longer lifespan. Those who live nearby east coast especially can try lah. The event total actually span a few weekends at different petrol kiosk over the island. Can see some petrol attendants not very happy as the michelin staff just ushered the cars to the petrol pumps and do the check, even for those who never pump petrol. But they sure ar enthusiatic. Confirm no need to buy Michelin tyres for the event. The staff never once talk about the brand. They only talk about your tyres, like they are doing a public service.

Dear Forumers, Needed to get some advices from you. I wanted to change my set of tyres. The shop owner has recommended me the above series. Is this good? For comfort, wet weather and quiet ride. The price offered is S$80.00 per piece. Is this reasonable. I am novice in this details. Thank you for all your kind attentions. Cheers, Antz_Ng
