Hi all, some of you might know that i used to drive a Lexus Gs450h , bought 2nd hand 7yrs old with 117K km. Although i did choose lexus for reliability , it gave me 2 big big issues one being the hybrid battery and another being the engine blew up, hence have decided to scrap the car. with the lexus , i have learnt a few things : - 3.5 road tax can die - horsepower not worth in SG, although car is silky smooth - dont buy a old hybrid car hence, I've been looking around for the next car that will not give me so much problems ( at least not so expensive ones) and have come across a friend that drives a W204 facelift model. so far since day 1 of owning the car, the car had no major problems other than a few cheap wear and tears that were very minor. anyone can share any opinion regarding the reliability of the w204 model, buying 2nd hand , and also, after the expiry of COE, will it be worthwhile to renew COE on this model? i have yet to test drive the car, but overall looks and interior quality are pretty nice IMO any opinions regarding is appreciated, or even other car suggestions are welcome too. looking at c180 or c200 model

As above I am looking to buy merc C class with the promo of paying b class price for C class. Did a check on second hand ones as well but they are all in the range of 120-130K when the new one is 139K. Hmmm it seems like it is a good deal to buy brand new? Feedback anyone?

No $$ to buy new model so considering old model. Both are 2,500cc. 2007-08 models for both are similarly priced. Would you choose E230(W211) with V6 or BMW 525i(E60) with IL6? Why? I've test driven some time ago a C230 (same engine as E230), and a 325i(same engine as 525i) and my impression (if memory serves me correctly) is that the IL6 for the 325 is more willing to rev, more responsive. Creamy smooth mated to its 6-speed gearbox. It also seems that 325i has much better sound insulation which I can hardly hear any enging noise most of the time. I've no idea about the gear system of the Merc but the engine noise of the V6 in the C230 is much more intruding to the drive cabin perhaps due to sound insulation? The engine note is also much sweeter for the 325i while that for the C230 is more coarse. Shouldn't Merc be very good at V6 as IL6 to BMW? Besides engine, what other consideration you have? Care to share? Cheers!

Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe driver does a Boom Boom Boom. Does not end well
chitchatboy posted a blog entry in MyAutoBlog
A Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe has been caught doing 'Boom Boom Boom' noises in one of the HDB carparks along Hougang Street 61 early in the morning last night. This has not gone well for him as videos of him revving his car that has been tuned to make "pop and crackle" noises has gone viral. s.MP4 According to unnamed sources, it seemed that the green CLA Coupe owner has been approached by home owners staying nearby for the noise pollution and a fight ensued. The police was called in and the CLA owner looked like he has been charged for causing hurt a.k.a Penal Code 323 as we can see from the Whatsapp screenshots. He was intoxicated too but was not charged for drink-driving as his female friend was at the wheel. -
I am selling my Merc purchased from C&C to another conti car. I have about 2000+ balance service credits which are not transferable to other Merc owners. So planning to use the balance credits to purchase items from Merc boutique in Alexandra and to sell the items to anyone interested at 30% discount off the usual boutique price. The discount is slightly negotiable and you can decide which items you would like. You can accompany me to the boutique. If anyone is keen, please pm me to arrange meet-up at the boutique. Thanks.

Hello everyone, Does anyone know where I can retrofit an original Mercedes GPS system to a W221 FL S350 CGI (2011)? It already has a bluetooth telephony factory fitted but it would be nice if it came with a GPS and BLUETOOTH audio. If anyone knows who can do it please let me know! Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to look for the driver of a black Merc C180 with the VRN SKC 40 09 D. My father when driving this morning, unfortunately scratched this car slightly, and although they both got down to look, the traffic was heavy (2 lanes out of 4 were blocked by them), and under the unfamiliar situation, my father didn't exchange details with the lady driver, and instead asked her to claim insurance before leaving 🤦♂️ Does anyone here happen to know the driver or owner of the car? I'll like to get in touch with her to apologise and follow up with her. It happened in Eunos Link just under the PIE flyover, around 10+ am. Thanks!

I am currently considering b/w these 3 models-> BMW 320i, E200CGI or an audi A4. Does anyone know which brand gives the best fuel consumption?? For servicing, i know all will be expensive.. but is there a difference in cost b/w these 3?? (Generally, which will be more expensive in servicing?) Thanks

I can't decide which one, both are nice in styling in it's own design. Power wise definitely thumbs up on A5, C Coupe not too bad too. Need your kind comments on them, cheers!

folks, my bro is looking to buy a used c200k, probably 07 or 08 model. Most of them have mileage around the century mark. he is fine with the mileage, but worried cost of major servicing, in particular for cars that either hit 100k or 110k, or after x number of years.. any benz drivers can offer when is a c class is due for major servicing and how much roughly? Cant advise him as i have not owned benz makes before.. thanks.

Will like advice from fellow car enthusiasts for advice on the 3 cars: Which will you put your money in and why? (Thanks for giving me your reason!) I am aware that the 3 of them belong to different categories but their prices are pretty similar and imho, they all look good and each one with their individual ups & downs. WHICH is WHY I am caught in a dilemma in which to get. I had also test driven them, except the CLA250(not available for test drive) and am loving how the Jag handles and how wonderful the pull of the BMW is. Test driven the CLA180SB, underpowered and am not a fan of FWD, especially so for wagon driving. For my needs, it's basically a 4-5door family-type of car with a fun aspect, definitely. Not too shabby a price when I sell in 3-4years time. Jaguar XE CLA 250 Shooting Brake BMW 330i, F30 Thanks in advance for all your helpful inputs!

Why are there 2 different look of E250? The earlier model before current. One with pertruding merc logo on the bonnet, the other without.

Hi bros and sis, My current car left 1 year lifespan, so starting to shop around for another car.. im looking at 3 yr old Merc E250 or the Lexus ES250. However, need to ask around for more advice if we compare these 2 models, which is a better option? Im looking at factors such as cabin space, maintenance, FC and reliability. Any advice is appreciated. :) Thx in advance.
