  3. Come this Sunday, Liverpool willl play against ManU at Anfield ................... Chances are great for Pool to win as Nemanja Vidic is suspended when he was sent off this morning match against Chelsea. KD is going to deploy AC for the match and ManU would not have any tall defender to mark AC. ESPN report : Carroll nears Anfield debut Andrew Carroll is in line to make his Liverpool debut against Manchester United on Sunday while Raul Meireles, Daniel Agger and Fabio Aurelio could also play. Liverpool's

  6. This season's EPL is very "kan cheong" with 3 teams fighting till the end. Chelsea is leading the pack with a 1-0 victory over Bolton and I'm sure ManU is feeling sore from the draw with Blackburn. Don't write off Arsenal who has a game in hand over ManU and we shall see tonight if Red Nose monkey's team is going to slip to 3rd! Good work Man C, you have the fighting spirit to slug it out for 4th spot. Tottenham is goner and I'm pretty sure HR is going to dump the game against you-know-who. What a season!
  7. ESPN Latest : Fergie unhappy with ref after Chelsea defeat Sir Alex Ferguson took another swipe at a referee as Manchester United's Premier League title hopes were dealt a blow at Stamford Bridge. The United boss, who branded Alan Wiley "unfit" last month, this time claimed referee Martin Atkinson's decisions - which led to Chelsea's goal in a 1-0 victory - were the kind which lead managers and players to "lose faith in refereeing". Atkinson awarded a free-kick for Darren Fletcher's challenge on Ashley Cole, and Wes Brown appeared to be impeded as Frank Lampard's delivery was turned into the net by a combination of captain John Terry and Nicolas Anelka. An angry Ferguson told Sky Sports: "Clearly, Darren Fletcher's won the ball - Ashley Cole's never touched and has jumped up in the air - and then (Didier) Drogba's pulled Brown to the ground for the goal. "The referee's position to make the decision was absolutely ridiculous - he can't see anything. He's got a Chelsea player (Joe Cole) standing right in front of him - and he doesn't even move. "It was a bad decision, but there's nothing we can do about it. You lose faith in refereeing sometimes, that's the way the players are talking in there - it was a bad one." Ferguson stopped short of blaming Atkinson for his side's defeat, which leaves them trailing leaders Chelsea by five points. Since the beginning of the season, he had complaint so many referees leow....... Only referee he likes is the one thats gave him extra minutes to score the winning goal against ManCity .......
  8. As reported in ESPn Soccernet : Barnsley blame United fans as arrests mar win Football fans from both teams were arrested after violence broke out and catering stands were ransacked during Manchester United's Carling Cup tie at Barnsley on Tuesday night. Barnsley said last night they would launch an investigation into the violence, accusing Manchester United fans of causing "substantial damage'' at their stadium. The club has also made an official complaint to police, who will conduct their own investigation. A Barnsley spokesman said: "The club is going to launch a full investigation as soon as possible after substantial damage was caused in the concourse of the north stand. Eight catering staff were trapped inside a food kiosk and had to barricade themselves in a store room for around 25 minutes as fans broke in and stole cash from the till and food from the shelves. Stewards on the pitch also had food thrown at them during the violence, marring United's 2-0 fourth-round win. Late in the match, two fans made their way onto the pitch and took the ball off United keeper Ben Foster to 'score'. The spokesman said: "No-one was injured during this time but one police officer suffered a minor facial injury. Eight fans were arrested, four Manchester United fans and four Barnsley fans. They have been taken to Barnsley police station.'' Still angry after the lost to Pool .........
  9. Latest results from ESPN Soccernet : Liverpool 4 - 0 Stoke City Liverpool put the misery of their opening day defeat at Tottenham firmly behind them with a convincing 4-0 victory over Stoke at Anfield. Last season Tony Pulis' men grabbed a 0-0 draw in this corresponding fixture, one of the results boss Rafael Benitez maintains cost Liverpool the title. This time around there was no mistake. Steven Gerrard created two of the goals and new boy Glen Johnson had an outstanding game surging down the right at will. Benitez bought Johnson, he claimed, to provided that extra adventure in difficult home games. And the England defender underlined just what his new manager meant. He scored a close range goal on half-time on his home debut, to add to Fernando Torres' fourth-minute opener, and aided Gerrard's advance to set up the third for Dirk Kuyt. Burnley 1 - 0 Manchester United Burnley celebrated a night they will never forget as veteran duo Robbie Blake and Brian Jensen emerged the heroes in a sensational 1-0 victory over Manchester United. Blake's name will go down as the matchwinner, and rightly so for a fine 18th-minute near post volley which flashed past Ben Foster after a sustained period of Clarets pressure. But Jensen deserved equal billing for a superb penalty save to deny Michael Carrick an equaliser just before half-time. Jensen then kept his cool during a tense second-half that United dominated, without ever looking likely to deny a team desperately trying to record their first top flight win since 1976. There is still hope for Pool .........
  10. ESPN Soccernet news : Messi seals emphatic win Manchester United discovered what it is like to lose a European Cup final as brilliant Barcelona ruled Rome on Wednesday, securing a comfortable 2-0 win. If there is any consolation in failure to become the first side to retain the trophy in the Champions League era, it is that they lost to a side as fluent and brilliant to watch as they are. Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi scored the goals either side of half-time but to single those two out for special praise would be unfair on their team-mates, and particularly Xavi, who was simply awesome. For once Cristiano Ronaldo could provide no magic of his own, instead getting increasingly frustrated as defeat loomed. Suddenly the strategy of containment and hitting at pace on the counter-attack suggested by the inclusion of Park and the exclusion of Carlos Tevez and Dimitar Berbatov did not look such a good idea. Ferguson's team shot across the pitch, able to do little more than firefight as Messi, Iniesta and Xavi lit bonfires all around. Better luck next year .......... I thought ManU going to get another trible but .........

  12. ESPN Soccernet reported : Agent quashes Berbatov exit rumours Dimitar Berbatov's agent has moved to quash speculation that the Bulgarian striker will leave Manchester United this summer. Despite United's success in winning FIFA's World Club Cup, the Carling Cup and Premier League, defeat in the Champions League final meant the club's season ended on a sour note and with Berbatov failing to make an impact to match his club record

After four triumphs in the competition for the legendary Brian, now it is Nigel's turn to take the Carling Cup by storm.
  15. Champion League Soccer. ManU, Arsenal and Liverpool are through to the knockout stages..... Chelsea had to wait for their final match as they are held to a draw (1-1) by Bordeaux ........ While Inter lost to Panathinaikos at home ........ ESPN reports : Mourinho stunned Panathinaikos revived their hopes of reaching the second round of the Champions League with a 1-0 win at Inter Milan tonight. A 69th-minute goal from Jose Sarriegi was enough to win the game for the Greeks, who were backed by a large following of supporters at the San Siro.
