Been noticing this KF Seetoh giving more and more ridiculous suggestions. This is the PAP way style of offering solutions to crowd control, fixing congestions. Look at the newly opened Jewel. In order to "control crowd" you are expected to pay up to SGD 56 if you want to go 4 of the paid attractions. There are other ways to limit crowd. Reserving free ticket online first come first serve blahhhhhh. Then now there's peak period surcharge for hawker centres. Many of these people who patronize hawkers during lunch time even in CBDs are also people who are just drawing a decent salary just like you and me. Why punish these people? Founder of Makansutra? Super out of touch with the average Singaporean. No doubt overhead very high for hawkers. In fact I think they pay a darn ridiculous price just for rental, cleaning etc... KF Seetoh should campaign for lowering rental costs for hawkers instead of penalizing the consumers.

April 4, 2008 Makansutra in court over foreign cook By Khushwant Singh A COMPANY, run by popular food presenter and columnist K.F. Seetoh, has been hauled to court for violating work permit rules. Makansutra Gluttons Bay is charged with instructing a foreign worker to work as a cook at the Siewann Seafood Cze Cha in Esplanade Mall between September 2006 and last October. The cook is only allowed to work for Makansutra, according to his work permit. The case was adjourned on Friday for two weeks. The Ministry of Manpower prosecutor said that he needed time to consider issues that had been raised by the defence before the hearing could begin. If convicted, Makansutra could be fined up to $5,000. Mr Seetoh's wife, Patricia Seetoh, a director of the company, appeared in court on Friday for the firm, which is represented by lawyer Kirpal Singh. Mr Seetoh, who founded Makansutra and has appeared in a television programme with the same name, was presented with the Special Recognition Award given out by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) at its annual Tourism Awards ceremony last month . The case will be heard on April 18. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...15.html?vgnmr=1 was this makansutra the one that sued some pple for organising a foodie outing using the makansutra name?
