I have a Butler Tube Amp TDB 475. One of the channels currently seems to be not working. Anyone has any idea whether any shops locally can do a check or repair?

Almost langgar into one today. Should the practice of allowing M'sian bikes to deliver pizzas even be allowed to carry on? I doubt the authorities have any ways to catch also.

Monday, Jun 04, 2012 The Business Times A Porsche for a Chery By Joyce Hooi One man's Chery QQ is another man's Porsche Boxster Black Edition - if the Porsche man were shopping for a car in the United States, that is. Soaring Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums and a robust Singapore dollar have made the cheapest passenger car here - the manual Chery QQ 0.8 - the equivalent of most European luxury badges elsewhere. Even at a promotional net price of S$74,988, the Chery QQ gets you the Porsche Boxster Black Edition at US$55,200 (S$71,450)

Hi . this suddenly came up my mind. Since Singaporeans are car crazy. Why did the garmen never think making cars in Singapore? As in , if it is made in Singapore , we do not need to pay "import" taxes and there would be work for everyone. Since everything is going green now , why has Singapore not come out with the idea of making "green cars" while keeping the import tax around. Assuming if other car companies wishes to set up shop in singapore they would have to follow the green emissions restrictions as well? This way , our air remains the same while there are jobs created. This way , the cars made locally though a little more expensive but goes a long way as it doesn't have to pay import taxes. Prices would be almost similar. We get jobs and everyone is happy. There are competition and free market problems to consider but since Singapore has almost 40% of its population as engineers , why didn't they explore this avenue? Million dollar pay ministers can only come out with million dollar plan? So do we need to pay them in billions of dollars before they come out with ideas like this? Time to vote properly.

Was taking an enforced break from work when I stumbled across an ad in today's classifieds listing, among other yummy things (like the 120i and Passat Turbo ), the availability of the Golf GTi in manual (Yay.... ) at some PI. Price was listed in the mid-90's range, which puts it smack in line with the Focus ST (woo-hoo.... ) Just curious to know - true or false and should one even consider - why or why not? And, oh, before some cynically suspicious person fires off the usual "...so, do you work for the PI..." sort of question, the more senior members of this forum, I'm pretty sure, can attest to the fact that I don't. I'm posting this to get some opinions on whether someone should consider such a proposition, not as some thinly-veiled form of advertisement for the PI....
