TL;DR – A Subaru Legacy recklessly speeds through morning traffic and weaves through tight pockets of space between cars. Ends up side swiping a Toyota Wish causing a jam on the PIE during morning rush hour. It’s 8am and you’re on the way to work. The morning traffic is not too bad and you look like you’ll make it to the office with little to no hiccups. But, life is funny and loves to throw you a curve ball every now and then. In this case, it’s in the form of a Subaru Legacy with a driver that has shit for brains. Watch the viral video here: Crazy driver This minute and a half (ish) video starts by throwing us straight into the action. A Subaru Legacy with a roof pod comes charging in from the left side of the cam car and can be seen aggressively switching lanes. It then hits a car, loses control and comes to a halt at lane 1. Is there a profile for roof pods? I don’t know about you readers but most of my friends who are considering to install roof pods or already have roof pods installed are married men with kids. Roof pods can give your car an additional 300 to 600 litres of cargo space - Which is space you’ll need especially if you have children. And as you can see from a quick search on Google, some of them don’t come cheap. Really hope the driver’s children were not in the car though. Sway la, the Wish An image of the damage to the Wish was also uploaded along with the video. I’m pretty sure it was more than the Wish but the video footage of impact is quite blur and it happened really quickly. There seems to be another stationary car on lane 1 (besides the idiot) that was affected by this incident. Online Chatter Somehow the PIE happens to be prone to traffic jams for some reason. Not to mention the driver’s “maybe” children in the car. Yeah lo. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!

How will be the response of this japan made 2.5L all wheel drive compared to accord teana or Camry? Car built is solid with reasonable comfort level and great rear leg room. Tinge of luxury: Sunroof, 7" touchscreen LCD with reverse cam, 12 Harman speakers, good interior soundproofing, 7 airbags etc. With $18,000 omv and sub $140,000 selling price, AD is making over $30,000 per car at current $70,000 COE.

The New Subaru Legacy has finally been revealed in Chigago Auto Show last night. Exterior seems more like a facelift but is actually new. Interior takes a huge step forward. Looks premium. And for US, they will get the 2.4 litre turbo. Wonder if the Japan domestic market will have this turbo engine other than the improved 2.5 litre engine when it is launched. Since the Legacy has been revealed and will only be on sale in the States in September this year, perhaps in a few months time, will get to see the Outback. Hello Guys, With the current new CEVs craziness. I'm holding purchase of a new car as there may discount opportunities next year when the new rules kick in. So I'm looking for a 2nd hand car that is between having 1-3 years of COE left to replace my car due for scrap in june. Interesting 1 category down jap cars of 1.6L command a higher depreciation of 10-12k for those 7-8 years of age. Anyway I'm currently looking at 2L cars that depreciate between 8 - 10k per year for under 3 years of COE left. After trawling a couple of pages of SGCarmart, these were what I found. 1. Subaru Legacy 2.0R or Wagon 2. Volvo S60 3. Ford Mondeo 2.3A (erm, whats the difference between trend and no trend? seems to be a significant depreciation difference) 4. Citroën C4 Picasso 2.0A What are your thoughts on this? Assuming these cars are mostly 7-8 years old and high mileage. Which would you get and why? It seems strange that the Volvo S60 would depreciate similar to the other 3. Actually I saw 1 BMW also depreciate under 10k but likely to have expensive maintenance thus did not list it here.

Hi All, Been having this intermittent issue of my radio head unit going dead. I normally notice this after i heard a 'bom' sound from the speaker and when I look at my radio head unit, its dead and cannot turn on at all. Sometimes i need to wait a while before the head unit will comes alive again or I can off and on the car to restore its life. This only happens sometimes when I am about to park the car or reversing, never happens when I am driving on the road at normal speed. Been to an audio accessories shop and because the fault cannot be replicated during my time there as its intermittent, they advise me to either, 1) change fuse 2) change head unit 3) leave it till head unit totally konk. any bros can advise if you had experience similar problem before? thanks in advance. oh yeah, my head unit is stock for my subaru legacy.

Hi, I just got my driving license last month and would like to purchase a used car for both family purpose and also gain some practical skills. I stay with wife, a one-year old baby and parents. Hence I believe a big car is necessary but not MPV as it is to big for newbie. As the family is big, I think a 2.0L is a must, thus I have shortlisted Kia Magentis, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Cefiro, Mazda 6 and Subaru Legcy. Prefer to buy a car registered in 2016 or 2017 because eventually I may have to buy a MPV when second baby comes. Please share your opinion on these cars: i.e interior space (2 adults and a safety seat in rear row), FC, reliability and cost. Thank You!

Looking for cheap mid-size car with 2-3 years left. Realized that Cefiro, Mz6 and Legacy got lower depreciation. My requirement will be: 1) Reliability to drive till scrap 2) Handling 3) Space for rear passengers 4) 5 seaters Brand, Power or FC not so important for me. Budget around $9k/year depreciation. Or should i get Civic 1.8 for its reliability? Looking to drive till scrap so re-sale value not important

Tokyo, February 7, 2014 - Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, has just unveiled the all-new Legacy (US specifications) at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show currently being held in Chicago, United States. The new Legacy ushers in the sixth generation of its model, a full 25 years since the first generation Legacy was released in 1989. A shared universal value among the past models of the Legacy is the strong, unwavering trust built up between driver and car. Over the course of the past quarter century, Subaru has consistently sought out a presence and value commensurate with its flagship model. We have purely focused on developing the kind of vehicle that acts as a partner to enrich its owners’ lives. In order to further solidify the trust we have built up, in the new Legacy, we took this sentiment beyond just functional values; ride quality, environmental friendliness and safety performance such as the new “EyeSight” and Subaru’s first rear radar system. We also brushed up its very essence—the design and quality at the core of its emotional value. The Legacy’s polish gives it universal appeal as a true sports sedan providing trust-inspiring driving excitement, an inspiration to drivers to dream bigger and imagine a fuller lifestyle.

Hi there, i have a 2005 legacy gt 2.0 stock i heard JB is much much much cheaper to repair and modify cars, is this true? what i intend to do is: 1. repair suspension cause now got a lot of sounds like thud thud thud especially when go over slight rubble. 2. repair gearbox cause when accelerate from gear 1 to gear 2 in the morning, there will be huge jerk. but its just my guess. 3. repair the dashboard cause lots of cracks on the leather-looking material. 4. maybe change seats to lighter ones cause current stock one leather spoil liao. 5. maybe tune ECU so that turbo kicks in earlier, i heard rumors this improves FC, yay! 6. maybe repaint entire car. 7. maybe change exhaust to louder one that also improves bhp does anyone have any advice on the 7 items? like the estimated price, estimated savings, advice on the problems, suggestions for the modifications parts. thanks all.

The US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has released data on the top safety picks for 2013. All the vehicles tested belong to the 2013 model year. This year, the IIHS came out with a new award on top of the usual TOP SAFETY PICK award. Called the TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, vehicles must earn good ratings for occupant protection in at least 4 of 5 evaluations, and no less than acceptable in the fifth test in order to earn it. The models award the TOP SAFETY PICK+ award are mostly mid-sized sedans. They include the Acura TL, Chrysler 200, Dodge Avenger, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord Sedan/Coupe, Kia Optima, Nissan Altima Sedan, Subaru Legacy, Subaru Outback, Suzuki Kizashi, Volkswagen Passat and the Volvo S60. The models underlined are available for sale in Singapore. The 2013 Honda Accord sedan should be making its debut locally in the coming months. If you are looking for a 'certified' safe car to ferry your family, do check them out. Honda Accord Kia Optima Subaru Legacy Suzuki Kizashi Volkswagen Passat Volvo S60

Roughly A decade ago, technologies like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pedestrian detection are normally found on high-end/luxury models but things have changed nowadays as more automakers have equipped their lower-end or entry level models with such features. And Subaru is one of them as the company has introduced their new EyeSight driver assistance system which will appear on the 2013 Legacy and Outback. Subaru recently announced their EyeSight system which the company will officially debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show. The Eyesight system integrates adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and vehicle lane departure warning. The system can also detect obstacles in front of a parked car and limit potential damage in an impact. Let see how the system works. EyeSight uses two charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras and they are mounted inside the car on the upper edge of the windshield. The system processes stereo images to identify the vehicles travelling in front as well as obstacles, traffic lanes and other items. The images are then sent to the Eyesight

Hi all Subaru owners, especially those with TB charged ones. I am driving a Subaru Legacy Wagon 2.0GT, bought 2nd hand for 8mths now. Everything was in very good condition till recently: 1)when turbo boost kicks in, the engine sputters, sounds like misfiring 2)erratic idling with engine vibrating violently especially with aircon turned off Went to check, had four ignition coils changed which solved the misfire, denso iridium spark plug checked and still looking beautiful; had the throttle body and air filter cleaned and found a loose air pipe disconnected, rectified the problem with a simple add-on clip to secure piping; but after one day of perfect driving with no hiccups, during 2nd day startup in the morning, low idling problem comes back with CEL on and Cruise light blinking. My car runs when and everything but idling got issues. After driving for a while CEL light will be gone. Previously system showed TOO LEAN. If I put to DRIVE and don't step accelerator, the car runs like out of breathe; on straight road moves forward a bit then slows, then move forward then slows, can hear from the erratic combustion in the engine. Can any subaru TB owners give some advise on potential flaws? Will send back to trusted mechanic to check again, hopefully this time is just one of the smaller pipes hidden behind throttle body came loose. Cheers bros, look forward to as many replies as possible.
