Not sure anyone has the same problem. My 9 yr old latio AT sedan been giving me concern. While driving, it has suddenly seem to go into neutral while the gear is in "drive". What happens is the engine suddenly just revs but no power goes to the wheels. Macham neutral. Sometimes I just need to wait a while and Power comes back. But twice I had to roll to a complete stop, off engine and restart. Any ideas or experience anyone? ?

Here we discuss how durable is your car ...... So far my 9 year old Latio super durable and long lasting and seldom gives me problem . I am the first owner and so far no major issue except replace radiator at year 8.5 , ignition coil at year 7.5 , front and back absorber at year 7 and air-con compressor at year 6.5 . The main problem in Latio is high usage of battery and mine only last less than 1.5 year , and recently I use Amaron seen can last longer ! My mileage now 210,000 km and all these while been servicing by TC . What about yours ?

Hi guys, have a really weird problem and wonder if anyone has had anything similar happen. I will eventually send to workshop, but fairly busy now so would like to see if anyone has an idea what's going on. A couple of months ago, car batt dead and couldn't start. Jump started and all was good. As battery was only a few months old, I dismissed it and though I perhaps had forgotten to turn off headlights. Today the same thing happened. I last drove the car for around 10km at 7am, parked at office. At 12pm when I tried to start car, couldn't crank. Got my colleague to jump start, drove for 1-2km and parked. While jump starting, car exhibited all the signs of a flat battery, light flickering, weak cranking etc. Once we parked, Straight away car couldn't crank again. After lunch, we jump started again and left car running without load for 45 mins. Once turned off, car couldn't start right away. Double checked the battery terminals and there was plenty of corrosion on them. Cleaned up, tightened the terminals and cranking was instantly very strong. Contrast this to 5 mins ago where there was no cranking at all. Despite the strong cranking though, car couldn't start. We suspected fuel pump issues, opened the fuel cover to vent the fumes and car instantly could start. Leaves me perplexed though as this seems intermittent: Battery initially exhibited signs of low charge, but later on the strong cranking showed it's fine. Fuel pump suspected as well, but that will not cause the issue of no cranking at all. ECU is the only thing that comes to mind. Anyone encountered anything similar?

Hi all I have a 2007 Nissan Latio (Premium with CVT gearbox) that produces rumbling noise at low speed or when the engine is experiencing load. The noise is especially evident at cold start and the noise got louder over the past whole year. I brought it to a mechanic and was told initially that the engine mounting might be damaged. Then when i urged the mechanic to confirm again, I was told that the catalytic converter might be the one vibrating and causing the issue. Any bro here got the same problem as me? anyone know whats wrong?

My latio is around 5.5 years old and clocked around 100K KM. Recently I noticed that one tank of petrol only can last around 350-380KM, that is around 20% drop when it was new (around 450-480 KM per tank.) The diving pattern do not change much, the petrol is always ESSO 95. Is this normal (fuel efficiency drop 20%) for a 5 year old car? or Something wrong so that I can bring it up on next visit to Tanchong?

i am thinking to buy a 2nd hand latio or sylphy1.5, from my study, latio is better in fuel consumption, while sylphy is good in interior, but in terms of price, sylphy is much higher than a latio of the same year, i prefer sylphy as i like the external looking also, can someone lighten me is it worth the money? thx.
