Hi all, I have this knocking sound on my rear brakes whenever i brake and it is very annoying. I have already changed the brake pads, cyclinder and the brake shoe and i even changed my absorbers but it still happens. It is a drum brake system on the rear and my car is a nissan latio. My regular workshop is unable to pin point to the problem,would appreciate some views from the forum. Thank you in advanced!

Hi all, I'm hearing a knocking sound from my gearbox/clutch, whenever i change gear or step on the clutch. I'm driving a Nissan Sunny Manual(2003). Anybody out there knows what's going on? Thanks. Regards, Andrew -

Hey guys, i have a strange knocking noise when i full lock. It usually happens when reversing to parking lot. I noticed this after i did my wheel alignment with camber bolt installation on the driver side. The following week i went back to the workshop and they cant seems to find anything that causes the knocking. I just changed my LCA not long ago so i dont think it is related to balljoint right? Any idea what could be the issue? Thanks.

Hello, wondering anyone driving the car has this same problem? Normally occur when turning the wheel from 90 degrees left or right. Especially obvious during reverse turning into car park lot.

Dear bros and lao jiaos, have having a problem that is driving me nuts. Basically, i am experiencing this knocking sound when i start my engine whe it is cold especially in the morning. I have went back to the mechanic and they have tightened the belt and lubricated the pulleys but problem persist and i think it is getting worst in terms of duration of the noise. It does goes away when the engine warms up but it comes back again once engine cools done. I have attached a short video clip which i have taken as it is hard for me to describe the sound. Anyone have this problem before? Am having a Honda Civic 1.8A 2007 make. Strange thing is when I step the brake slightly, the knocking sound gone and come back again when brake is released. Able to replicate the problem most of the time. Just did servicing 3-4 weeks back at a workshop.

This will be a chance for you to widen your current job scope, as well as receive better compensation & benefits (i.e. 20% increase of your current salary). With things going well in your current job; would you consider leaving it for this opportunity? Just to be clear, i'm in my mid-twenties, currently in the banking industry in the risk an compliance area. I'm aware of the external factors happening in Europe and the state of the banking industry; but i'm wondering if i should stay put or bite the bullet and try this role out. Advice?

Hello guys... Am facing a frustrating problem here.....I've got this knocking sound on the left front side of my EP70 when driving (around the left axle area), the knocking sound usually comes when moving on moderately bumpy roads. This happened some 3-4 months ago untill it got unbearable, at first it was knocking sounds when travelling straight, then it just got unbearable when the knocking sound would happen even when I turn steer left (yes, only when i steer left, no sound when steer right). I didn't plan on repairing it because she's due to scrap in 2013, but it just got unbearable and for safety concerns as well, I decided to get it looked at. 3 weeks ago, went to my mech, was advised that ball joint bearing worn out badly, he also recommended a change of suspension and suspension mounting. Thinking that its left with 3 years, ok la, do it lor since the price quoted was reasonable for my understanding and that my existing suspension was already quite chui, use 4 fingers can push the car down easily .. Ok, I paid $340 for the following: 1) 2 x ball joint bearing 2) 2 x front suspension 3) 2 x suspension mounting 4) 2 x suspension cover 5) Labour charges After repairing, the knocking sound is still there!...went back and got my wheels aligned, and the sound is still there! Wha, really damn sian to keep going back to the mech every weekend. Well..I'm planning for a trip down to Saber on Hari Raya Eve...for now, any EP70/80 brothers encountered this problem before? Darn.....today morning when abt to go to werk i realised that there is a dent on my front passenger door the size of a open palm courtesy of dont know which mother##c**r......b------d must have reverse into the lot and bang my dear car......can anyone recommend a shop who just do knocking(only) to restore it back. as i am going to spray the whole car with a freelencer who just do respary and no knocking.....sobs hari raya just next weekend......pls help

Many Forte owners are experiencing a soft knock sound when going over road humps. The sound is from the front of the car and the matter has yet to be resolved by AD. Seems like an inherent fault in the car. Any Forte owners here who have the knock sound and got it rectified?

Hi, I am posting on the behalf on my friend who owned a 1.6 subaru hatchback. He has a <6 mths hachback, but has knocking sound at the rear when turning either right or left in the third mths. The sound is louder when turning U-turns. Twice he has went to Image @ TPY for checkup, yet the SA is unable to resolved the problem. The SA even ask him to close one eye and accept it as the SA claimed my friend is not the first car which is having this problem... So like if there is any subaru car owners or any other car owners who are/were facing this problem before? And what is being done to rectify the problem? Or is there is good workshop to recommend where I ask my friend to send his car for further checkup... Please advise. Thanks you

Only recently I hear loud knocking sound when I turn my steering. Initially the sound comes when I turn 2 T (not full lock), and now even when it's 1 T it knocks. And sometimes when driving I turn it it knocks also. Also, to keep the car going straight I need to keep my steering wheel at 10-4 position (deteriorated from a 9.30-3.30). What could be wrong? (wheels are balanced, pressure checked too)

Hi bros, My ride is experiencing "knocking sound" when I rev hard and the car picks up speed. If I rev in free gear, no knocking sound. If shift normally at 2.5k for ever gear up to 110km/h its also smooth without the knocking sound. Once I drop a gear, rev shoots up to 5-6k and car picks up speed, the knocking sound comes in. Recently changed to coilovers but had same sound before changing too. Any idea bros? BTW driving a Getz 1.6M.

Hi guys, Need some advice on my Kia Rio 1.5 (41km mileage - slightly more than 3 years). Recently I heard knocking sounds in front of my car when I am braking easy (light pressing) to a slow stop and I suspect its my front right disc brake. It will be like tock tock tock x times (quite rhythmic and evenly distributed sound) and stops when the vehicle stops to stationary. It doesn't seem happen when I brake harder perhaps just a single tock sound before car halts. What could be wrong? Brake pads (have not changed yet)? Rotor warped (i dont feel the vehicle wobbling during breaking though)? Can someone also recommend a trusted ws to check this (eastern side) cos I have no contacts at the moment? Check all 4 to be safe? Thanks for reading.

Hi all, Need to ask a question. Today I was caught in a traffic jam. Very sian. And I heard something like a knocking sound from engine esp when I halfclutch and move off in 1st gear. Then after a while I realised this knocking sound is intermitten and most of the time comes when the car is idling. And when the knocking sound is heard, I can see the idle RPM drops very slightly. And when the knocking comes, it's consecutive for 5 knocks or so and then ok for next 20 seconds or so and then you hear it again. So now getting worried. Called my mech on the spot and ask what possibly could be the prob. Me very busy recently and can't visit him. Flying overseas tonight and coming back next week also. Basically he said it's likely to be a "electrical" problem. ie spark plugs, wires, blah..... Spark plugs I just changed 5,000KM ago. Although it's cheap ones...can't be so fast bah? After some searching online now, I'm wondering if it could be the O2 sensor or knock sensor? But I'm driving a Mazda323 2002 model. How to find out if I have these sensors in the engine? My model should be quite basic one...no intelligent computers I think. Appreciate any advise / suggestions.

I just went to Man and had my CAT knocked out......i was on a dummy CAT before but realised that the dummy had some restriction oso....My car is near stock and the last time i tested it's max speed ...i only manage to reach 180 + .....now with KNOCKING i can push up to 190++ And at the general higher gear my torque seem to improve too!!!! OMG ..shoud have done this earlier...cheap! $40 bucks ONI!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hi guys, recently when i'am driving, i hear a knocking sound from the engine. i can hear it thru the aircon duct from the driver's side. Seems a bit louder when i release my clutch, from neutral to half clutch position. It's a 1 month old optra sedan Anyone experience this before?

Been hearing knocking sound from front tyres especially over undulating road and humps.Was quite sure it to be worn out shock absorber until someone mentioned it could also be the lower arm bushing. Not sure if anyone has faced similar problems with shock absorber or bushing. How to tell from both? Is 4 yrs abt time to replace both? Some also said as you replaced the front shock absorbers, you should also consider replacing the back. Not sure if this is a good idea.
