See this pic. Look at the wheels. Those are 14" 6J Offset +33 rims. The car is running in a rally! Do the rally masters know something we don't know? I went to a Dutch racing parts website and they are selling these rally spec wheels. Any reason why they chose 14" over 15" wheels?

It is 1.4L with 140HP! I find it hard to believe. Apparently UK has it. Same engine block as th standard 1.4L DOHC Aveos we have here. What kind of magic did they do! Found out more. These are specially tuned Kalos/Aveos that take part in the Kalos Rally Challenge. All the teams are from The Netherlands. OK Aveo people, this is how the Kalos (Aveo) concept looks like

A long, long time ago. When Daewoo is still Daewoo and not bankrupt chaebol. They got designers together and Italdesign to draw the Kalos. This is how it looks like: Now that GM has taken over Daewoo and made into GMDAT. We got the now guniang look of the Aveo. At least the European Kalos look so much better. If only we can get back the original concept bodykit. -
have been having this car for 2 yrs plus still don't have bodykit for it. Guy here, Any suggesting place or any one can help?

Saw A Fierce KAlos BLAck HB with 2 Grey Strips on the Back & customize Spoiler on LEntor. Thinking 99% its Nuke CAr on my mind I follow him wants to Honk Him! I show him my Power FLash Light, no response? and he step his pedal to gain Speed. Thinking Why he SO Dao , I oso gain Speed have drive besides him and gave him Honk X2! His window was tinted cannot C him clearly & when window wind down. OOPS not Nuke! the driver give me a [:|]look SO pai SAy no Choice slow down. The car was so indentical as Nuke. except the front bonnet sticker is differ and he even changes his head light those projector type dark dark v . too bad I driving will not will have take photos.

Hi Bros, after hearing about the Shell Milage challange from Genie i just try my luck and registered. Luckily , i was selected ..... so last Wed went to Shell at Paya Lebar to register and get my first round of full tank. Too bad i've just top up,so all i got was about 7ltres of free petrol. Stickers were paste on my ride.

GM to assemble another small car in China; Kalos to replace aging Buick Sail ALYSHA WEBB | Automotive News Posted Date: 9/2/04 SHANGHAI - General Motors will begin assembling a subcompact based on the Daewoo Kalos in China in early 2005, supplier sources say. The Kalos will replace the aging Buick Sail in Shanghai GM's lineup, and the Sail will be repositioned below the Kalos. The Kalos is sold in the United States as the Chevrolet Aveo and in Canada as the Suzuki Swift. GM will produce several Kalos versions in China, and they may be badged Chevrolet, sources say. The Sail subcompact is based on a 10-year-old Opel Corsa platform. "This is the next-generation Sail," says Yale Zhang, director of emerging market vehicle forecasts in Asia for CSM Worldwide, a consulting company in Detroit. "GM needs a new small car. The Kalos can compete directly with Guangzhou Honda's Fit." The Kalos will be made at Shanghai GM Dongyue Automobile Co. Ltd. in the northeast China city of Yantai. Initial production will be from knockdown kits. Local parts sourcing will begin within a year of the start of production. Capacity at the plant, which makes the Sail, will be doubled to 300,000 by 2007. The Sail is still selling well - 33,144 units were sold in the first six months of 2004. So it will be repositioned as a budget car, says a source. GM has begun removing extras such as airbags and antilock brakes to move the Sail's price below the current 95,000 yuan, or $11,500 at current exchange rates, the source says. The Fit sells for $12,100. "The Sail will be even lower-end than it already is so it can compete with local brands like the Chery," the supplier source says. Article Here

Hey guys, anyone interested to get one? i am getting the Kalos and Lacetti and i am thinking of saving on shipping to get them.... they also got almost all Kia, Hyundai and Ssangyong... it's not cheap.... cost at least $25.00 depending on my negotiation unless u guys got better lobang then can buy from your side.

Just came back from Penang with my kalos. Highest speed hit 160km/h but it took a damn long time to hit this speed. Was in this road trip with a friend driving a Honda Jazz. Can't follow up with him. And there's lots of Aveo and Optra there. Most of the aveo with bodykit.

Hi woos and chevys, i've got lobang to buy the throttle body which is bore 4mm bigger and butterfly bigger. The price is S$250.00. The origin is from korea. They used the original part and mod it. But i'm not sure whether the aveo has the same throttle as the woos. I hope we can do a group buy so that i can ask discount from the koreans.

Hi , any Kalos owners around ? Heard there wont be anymore in production under GM Deawoo Kalos , it now be know as Chevy Aveo. Anyone seen the Aveo on road??? Looking the first badges owners of Kalos cause i'm in the last badge category, maybe can give feedback on what to expect later ei. milage, service cost ect. Cheer
