First they "chop" seats by assigning someone to jaga. This method was then "upgraded" using tissues to stake a "territory". Now iPhones? I guess this only happen in our little red dot? From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ur_iphones.html Posted on 20 Feb 2012 Here's a really bad idea: Choping seats with your iPhones Yes, ice cream is a treat, but is it really worth losing your iPhone over? STOMPer JW spotted these iPhones used to 'chope' a table at an ice cream parlour in Serene Centre. The STOMPer wrote: "Check out the new trend: using an iPhone to reserve a table instead of tissue paper. "Nowadays it seems many people use iPhones instead of tissue paper to reserve seats at Serene Centre's Island Creamery."

Androids Hired to Build iPhones Monday, 1 Aug 2011, 10:28am (5 hours 35 min ago) Androids Hired to Build iPhones (Image Source: Foxconn corporate website) In a report that first appeared on Chinese news outlet, Xinhuanet.com, the founder and chairman of Foxconn revealed that the company will replace real workers with 1 million robots within the next three years. The Taiwanese company's rationale for getting all these robots, is to combat rising labour costs (and probably suicides). Efficiency is also another reason cited for the move towards automation. Menial tasks like spraying welding and assembling are some of the tasks that will be taken over. What we don't know is how many people will be affected by the increase in robotic labour. Seeing the recent demand for Apple products, it would make sense for Foxconn to use the robots (which are faster and more precise at everything) to increase production volume exponentially. Robots are also less prone to depression, shrug off abysmal working conditions and harbour no suicide tendencies. According to xinhuanet.com. Foxconn currently employs 10,000 robots, 1.2 million human beings, with 1 million of those humans based in China. To read more, click here. I have a question here. When you try to travel from Singapore to a certian location to Johore bahru, you will always get the Iphone map indicating that you must take the Tuas 2nd link, then you can reach your location, even though it will be easier for you to get to the location using the Woodlands check point. Any reason why ? and how can i get over this problem ?

First, Rolls Royce says you can customise your Rolls on your Iphone. Then comes Toyo tires with an Iphone app about tires. And not to mention the various Ihpone/Ipod touch apps with car adverts as games such as Volkswagen and Audi. Even Red Bull racing has come up with a free app for you to 'race' their F1 car. Apple is totally taking over the motoring world with their apps and the concept of it all. And I love it! Now Volkswagen have become the first to publish a magazine specifically for Apple's new Ipad. Newly named, 'DAS', it stands for Digital Automotive Space and its a new addition to Volkswagen's revamped marketing strategy. No doubt will that help advertise more for Apple, (not like they need any more advertising) but it opens up new avenues for car manufacturers to reach out to consumers. Moreover, I believe Apple and the Volkswagen group have similar branding strategies; simplistic, stylish and sleek. And that blends in perfectly when it comes to apps for the Ipad. You can view the new Volkswagen Touraeg in a full 360 degrees view and go through all the specifications, its only a matter of time before car brochures enter the Apps store.. I've personally gone through stuff on the Ipad and everything looks amazing, so why not add in magazines like these as Apps? With all the games and other mish mash in Apple's App store, car manufacturers like VW have created one that shouts 'Info-tainment' and I think that will do nothing but boost their sales even more. Brilliant move by VW..
