Hi people, I'm looking to do some installation on my car.. I'm driving a Hyundai Verna btw.. I checked around with a few reputed installers and were quoted ranging from $160-$400.. Auto Image quoted me the cheapest, but I'm guessing it's without the cables. I am only looking for a passive setup, just a slight upgrade to my current setup, which is kindda sucky.. I do not have a big budget, so would appreciate if anyone can refer me to a cheap and good installer.. Here are the list of items I am intending to install: 1. Pioneer Head Unit.. I just purchased a used Pioneer AVH-3350BT and am intending to replace my stock Pioneer 1 din HU. 2. Morel Maximo 6.5" Component Speakers (Purchased already) - 3. Sony Xplod XM-ZR602 2 Channel Amp - This is from one of my friend who dekitted, held it for more den a year but did not install it yet.. 4. Current Front Coaxials to move to the back My current setup: Stock Pioneer 1 din Head Unit Front Alpine Coaxials Rear 6x9 Pioneer Coaxials Old School Rodek RA-Street 4 channel Amp (Specs: url="http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/100987454/Rodek_Auto_Amplifier.html"]Rodek RA-Street 4 ) Soundstream XS-10 10" Passive Subwoofer (Specs: url="http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5466_Soundstream-XS-10.html"]Soundstream XS-10 ) My thinking is to get my current Rodek Amp to drive my comps and rear coaxs.. The Sub will be driven by the new Sony Amp.. One of my rear 6x9" coaxials had popped and I'm thinking of shifting my front 6.5" to the back to replace it.. My questions are: 1. Is my thinking correct? I.e. to drive the 4 speakers and tweeters with my current amp and the sub with the new amp.. Will there be sufficient power to drive all my speakers and sub? 2. Will there be any problem replacing a 6x9 speaker with 6.5" ones other than the gaping hole on each side of the speakers due to the difference in shape? 3. Are there any installers who can do it under a budget of <$200? I'm not really into ICE, but since recently I've started listening to more K-Pop and my current speakers are killing me, and coupled with the speakers behind that is already kaput, why not go for a slight upgrade? Would appreciate if any of the ICE gurus here can give me your recommendations.. Thanks in Advance!

Currently, I have my 1-DIN Ralliart Meters sitting below my HU. I have bought the hood and tray with the intention to relocate the meters on the dashboard. See enclosed image. I am concerned the meters may go haywire if they are not well connected after the relocation. Can any bros here recommmend me a reliable and experienced installer? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, Was wondering if anyone has comments on the below mentioned installers? Was thinking of installing my amps, rear speakers and hu with them, but would like more unbias feedback regarding their workmanship and after sales. 1) hollywood sound lab (at bt timah) 2) JK audio (chua chu kang) 3) Chuan Sin (serangoon) 4) Autotrend (toa payoh) 5) Audioedge (Jurong) Price wise, I enquired. For installation of front components, rear 6x9, 2x2 channel amps and HU. They will supply the front 1 din slot, fuse and power cable and speaker cables. RCA use my own. all in all, about 180 - 220. Reasonable? This price was quoted amongst the listed companies. But what I am afraid is bad workmanship. Install, got aeroplane sound and leave you there to sort it out yourself. appreciate your help.

hi...have been recommended installers such as Audioedge, Swfit Motion, Audio Art..just wondering whether we can have a feedback on other installers, based on forumers experience. It would be helpful to people who are new to ICE like me...and maybe the lesser known installers who gives good service and affordable rates.. Try to avoid using words like "sham", "dishonest"; "lousy"; "bad deal" cause it could defame the installer..but just share your experience whether u r happy and unhappy with the service. Opinions are subjective..do remember. For a start..I went to ES Audio at Marsiling Industrial Estate...any feedback? Also met Ah Chuan at Auto Acoustic at Serangoon Rd..he takes part in competitions...feedback also?

Yes, Barakian, I go to Dynasty at Outram whenever I need some advice. His prices are pretty competitive too. I also like to go Pin Liang. Both of them very near each other - so rather convenient to drop by these 2 places at one go when the need arise. Quite a lot of people go to Jimmy Audio as well. So far, my impression of Jimmy is that he is the best salesman. No, not literally, he does not sell his products. But he mesmerize his clients with his charm and friendship. Very smooth chap. I am not sure, I had the impression his prices are not that competitive?

Hi all in MCF, This is my first post in the forum although I've been following the postings for a few months now. Pardon me for the long lo so message as I need some advise from the audio gurus out there. I have just bought a pre-owned car done-up (halfway??) with a Blaupunkt Casablanca CD50 HU with 6" Boston components in front, 5.25" CDT Classic component for rear and a Soundstream free-air sub (10"?) in the boot. These are all powered by a Sony (last generation model) 6-CH amp. The SQ is not as good yet as the bass seems to be stronger in the rear, with the front lacking some refinement in high frequency. One reason could be the tweeter for the front component is mounted on the door, covered by the speaker grille. From my previous car, I've the following items taken out: a. Sony CDX-7800V MP3/VCD/CDR HU b. Lanzar Vibe 410 4-ch amp c. Sony XM-222 2-ch amp d. 1 pair of CDT 5.25" Classic component e. 1 pair of AD 6" component f. Bazooka 8" basstube (EL series) passive My main question is whether I should invest in a 10-disc changer for my Casablanca CD50, since this HU is quite high-end as well, and the SQ is good when its kicking. Anyone have any lobang in installers with good knowledge and pricing for the Blaupunkt product. My main objective is to have as little modification on the setup which will translate to more cost effective. Once this has been done, I'm looking into selling some of the above items, as I will not have use for them. Appreciate your advise on any good installers, and probably some comments on the ideal setup. Also, pls feel free to email me should you be interested in buying any of the above items, which are all in v.good condition. Or perhaps, I will post in a new thread officially later next week after I sort out my ICE setup. cheers !
