hi, just bought a pioneer 1450 from my friend, looking to install in my civic...any intro. jsut want to keep it simple w/o amps etc, jsut head unit swap... thanks

1. Contemplating to install an ATF cooler. When looking around, the market price for each seems hovering around $220 or so with installation. 2. Any good brand and shop with good workmanship (need to takeout front bumper) to recommend me? For those of you who have fixed the ATF, did you use a steel hose or a rubber hose? Thank you very much. Hey guys, can anyone recommend me cheaper installer for my; HU Front and Rear speaker Amp Sub Reverse Cam? I've asked afew shops and I feel the fees are on the high side (approx $500) just for labour. I've also read somewhere Sim Lim Tower has a installer at level 6 carpark is he still there or any contacts to reach him?

what do you do ? what can you do ? or can you do anything ? visited an installer yesterday to fix aftermarket alarm (entry level) for my 2005 imprezza. after the alarm fix, everything about the alarm worked swee-swee ... but when I drove the car off, I realized that the "D" light in my display cluster did not light up so I drove back to the installer. they opened up the cluster and said that the bulb had blown and they did not have any replacement bulb. so now my car only have 1,2,3,N and P, so what do you do when you go do something and then something else spoils ? worst part is they told me the bulb cannot buy outside also.

hi guys, i have managed to stave off the desperation to zhng my ICE for 2 years now but finally giving in as I have some spare cash. was looking to either change my bodykit or ICE but decided ICE gets my priority. i have a budget of 500-1000$ in mind but if exceed by a hundred or two can get me a MUCH better effect, i will consider. i know the madness of ICE can range up to much higher (20k for high end) but for a novice like me probably can only tell the difference btwn a stock system and smth much clearer with less noise) now, i need recommendations for good installers/tuners to do it up for me and explain to me more in-depth. i know for one that the whole setup includes Headunit Tweeters Amp Subwoofer Speakers and probably you'll need good RCA cables and a very good tuner too. soundproofing wise im nt sure if the end justifies the cost as im nt sure how much does it actually help? also, if anyone can tell me whats the diff btwn an active and passive set. i have read it somewhere a year ago but decided not to go ahead and now forgotten whats the diff. any kind soul can save me the trouble of searching for it? im looking for not only sound quality wise, but also aesthetically nice for viewing pleasure. always admired those sets! i thank all of you bros for ur help in advance!

Be warned of Zen windows tinting at 282 macpherson rd, read on before u decide.Done up my front 3 pcs windows film at Zen abt 2 months ago, when done found green chemical stains on the dashboard due to removing of previous film, jimmy applied some oil for me to cover the stain, apparently, the cloth wasn't placed properly and resulted in lots of stains on dashboard.. After driving off for 1-2mins, my Aircon died.. No air coming out from the Aircon vent in the beginning, then follow by all Aircon control failed. Unable to turn on/off. Nothing on the control panel can be used.SMS the boss, jimmy abt what happen.. he told me to check and update him. After checking with workshop, the problem seems to be Aircon amplifier die.. (later diagnosed to be amplifier assembly and blower died), possibly some shorting occur due to water.Updated jimmy, but he told me to update him again, and throughout the whole saga, he mentioned a few times he'll check with his workshop people and update me, but never came back to me. When this happen, I got no Aircon, and an scheduled to drive up to KL with my family few days later. So no choice, took some leave and go around sourcing for parts, no new parts available in s'pore and order will take months, comb thru almost all the scrapyards and finally managed to find 1 pc, installed, control back to normal, but still no Aircon, so was advised to change the blower. Upon changing, everything back to normal. Then I drive up to KL the next day. Aircon died again, exactly same symptom happen when I reach KL at night. The Aircon lasted <24hrs.Was in M'sia for a week without Aircon and drove around during rainy season without Aircon.Stucked in heavy rain and super jam in malacca, wiping interior windows like crazy due to fogging.Upon return to S'pore, jimmy again told me to update him, and say will check and get back to me. But this time round I couldn't find any parts.Dun know what happen, no workshop in S'pore knows how to resolve. Replacing parts may not solve the problem. But no choice, still got to order from Japan and wait. Meanwhile really dun know what happen, so decided to sell car, without Aircon, can only sell to dealer at a lower price. Search around for car and finally bought one. Dealer agree to let me take car first while waiting for parts, at that time, after much chasing and pleading, Japan help to rushed the parts, and dealer had to wait another 2-3weeks for the parts to come. Finally, amplifier arrived at early jan as promised. Installed for dealer and true enough, blower also need replacement. And during dekitting of my car, found that there a device with a cable shield with little bit of water dripping out from the shield, the shield is open ended on both ends, that device's connector when unplugged had some dried water stain. With all these, jimmy still say we can settle happily. But he refused to make any proposal. The total monetary damage is 1.2k, so I proposed that he pay me 300 and do a set of windows film for me since cost is low to him. He insisted that he'll only settle for 300. Fine, discussion fell thru and I dub want a cent from him. I'd rather post my case up here for everybody's reference.He may be a nice guy, but that's what happen when things happen. Where can I get a reverse camera installed? I am thinking of getting my own camera and screen and pay for installation in SG only cuz I have a friend in China who will be able to get the camera and screen for me. Seems alot cheaper than in SG. Just dunno how much is the installation. Normally one reverse camera set including installation cost how much?

i got the amp,player,woofer... anyone can recommend a good installer in JB... gave up on sg when the shop told me it cost 100 bucks just to install the amp (2 channel) to the speaker. ridicously priced? yes? no?

Anyone here knows of a freelancer who does a good job? I'm only fitting new front components, an AMP for the front speakers, re-align the head unit (because a silly shop in Toa Payoh messed it up and couldn't fix it, too fed up to go back) and most importantly, troubleshoot why the radio reception sucks BIG TIME. Oh yes, I'll probably need to cut a couple of holes and cover them up with mesh cloth on the rear parcel shelf to let the bass tube punch through. Anyone? Any idea on cost of the whole works? I have the existing equipment from my previous car so there isn't much to buy, other than maybe speaker wires and RCA cables?
