  2. Poor toilet habits. Bad commuting habits. The list goes on and on. But, the root of these problems lies in the upbringing. From observations, generally parents who do not have proper or less schooling tend to do a better job at imparting values compared to their educated counterparts. Today, I boarded bus no.54 and saw these 2 girls in totally white uniform (nanxxxx) vacating their seats with the mother as they were alighting. I saw 1 of the girl dropped her wallet, I picked it up & called out to her. The 3 of them turned around, the girl just snatched the wallet from my hand while her mother was remarking in perfect english on her daughter's carelessness. Throughout the incident, I do not begrudge the absence of thanks but rather the feeling of being treated like an invisible entity whose deed is akin to repaying a debt from my previous lives. A sense of sympathy welled up in me as I saw them making their way to their condo. In them, I not only see our future leaders but also potential social outcast. For those parents out there, impart the right set of values to your kids. Let them know that no man is an island. Society are still bounded by certain set of rules and those who failed to follow will be an outcast regardless of their elite status or academic achievements.
