Read from ST 'Breaking News' " : SingTel hints at fee changes in letter to BPL subscribers Singtel lost a match against a government ruling on cross-carriage earlier this month, but launched a counter-attack last week by sending a strongly worded letter to its BPL subscribers. In the letter, the pay-TV provider urged its customers not to take any action until the outcome of its appeal to the Media Development Authority is known. It admitted that mio TV had "missed some goals" in the past, "but like any good football team, we will work harder and keep bouncing back to give fans something to cheer about". It also reassured existing BPL subscribers that should its appeal be turned down, those under contract would not be affected by any changes during the full term of their agreement period. link: http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/...ribers-20130617 Look like I have to pay more to watch BPL ....

Feb 9, 2011 Keeper Pepe Reina hints at Liverpool exit LONDON - THE next jersey to be burnt at Merseyside could well belong to Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina. The Spaniard, who has been justifying the contentious 50 million pounds (S$102.5 million) defection of compatriot Fernando Torres to Chelsea, has hinted he might follow suit. 'I won't lie - I want to play in the Champions League,' Reina told Spanish radio station Onda Cero, echoing Torres' reason for quitting Anfield. Should he leave Liverpool, a move to Spain would appear unlikely with neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona looking for a goalkeeper. Which leaves him with a transfer to a rival Premier League club. 'It's hard to see me returning to Spain. But at Manchester United, Edwin van der Sar is hanging up his gloves and people say that Arsenal are looking. ' I can't do or say anything; I renewed my contract with Liverpool last year. 'But what a player wants to do in his career is to challenge for titles.' Although he was reminded that he has won an FA Cup with Liverpool, his response will not leave Reds fans optimistic that they will be able to hang on to one of the league's top goalkeepers.

Luca di Montezemolo has indicated that Felipe Massa is on the road to having his Ferrari deal extended beyond December. The 29-year-old Brazilian has driven for the famous team since 2006, alongside highly rated teammates including Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen. But so far in 2010, Massa has struggled with the F10 car, while team president Montezemolo told La Gazzetta dello Sport that he is "very happy" with new long-term recruit Fernando Alonso. Amid rumours Ferrari is considering replacing Massa with Robert Kubica or Mark Webber, Gazzetta correspondent Pino Allievi asked Montezemolo what Massa needs to do in order to keep his seat. He answered: "Continue as before, with the same spirit, thinking of his interests but also those of the team." Source: GMM
