The Bennington water heater we've had for eight years started leaking water from the unit yesterday. Anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it. Can't contact Bennington except to 'leave a message'. Any good plumbers to recommend and is it best to replace the heater with a similar model or change to an instant water heater and if so any recommendations.

My heater fuse always melt when I switch my aircon to higher blast or full blast. Anyone experience the same thing before? Is it the wiring or the aircon or my fusebox got problem? By the way, what's the heater for?

Hi bros, need help on the above. The water heater plug in my home always have the problem of overheating till the point where it melts the plastic a little and worse case the plug melts and fuses it with the power point. But no short-circuit. Very scary. Have already changed several times for the plug, and also change the usual 13amp fuse to 15amp fuse. But again this morning it gives the same problem. It usually occurs when 2 person uses the shower continuously 1 after another. Sometimes my mom will unplug it and have to wait for 5-10mins to cool down first before the next person. But this morning was raining and everyone was running late so no time to do that and the inevitable occured. Btw the water heater is about 3yrs old only, those normal types with no water tank. Any remedies to rectify it? I was thinking of rerouteing the wiring to another power point where the pin-hole are those round types which I believe can take a bigger voltage surge?currently the power point being used by the convention oven. Possible to share the powerpoint or have another dedicated one??

I am currently using electric water heater with storage tank, would like to switch to gas heater to save on electricity. Any comment welcome.

It seems like Singaporean can't live without water heater. It is becoming a habit to bathe with the water heater turned on, be it instant one or storage tank type. Are you one of them? Even reservists are asking for water heater to be installed in camp. Regards,

Recently my car had this weird noise when cold engine start. It sounds like some crushed ice or water from engine compartment.I could hear it clearly from inside of car.It lasted for few minutes then stop or when engine is warm. I sent it to TC and the mechanic couldn't diagnose what is the cause, and said never encounter that before. Then they told me the noise is gone when they removed heater. They removed the hoses and used rubber stopper to block it. Coolant been tampered coz I installed water temp & rpm gauges, so warranty considered void, moreover I didnt go back TC for servicing. So there's no charge except rubber stopper. SG weather does not require heater but will removal of heater cause any problem in future? TC mechanic told me no problem. They also drain out the air or something and told me to lookout tomorrow morning if coolant level drop then just top up, coz there is still air in the hoses. Thanks.
