The current 10th generation Civic was officially unveiled on 17 September 2015, and after close to 5 years, the next gen is on the horizon. The spy shots below shown the 5 door Type R variant, which look more upright than the current gen even though it was wearing heavy cladding. More spy shots of the other variants can be expected to surface very soon. Stay tuned.

Patent images from Brazil registry. The front bonnet is exceptionally and unnecessarily long. Total waste of space (and material) in my opinion since the engine option is unlikely to be anything larger than an IL4 2.0 sump which will be transversely mount as usual. These spy shots give us a glimpse of how the actual car sis going to look like.

Honda's a genius in churning out state-of-the-art small cars. Here's why. The 2014 Honda Jazz is 4cm shorter but it offers 138 liters more cabin-space volume and nearly 13cm of extra rear legroom - compared to the predecessor. Here's how Honda engineers eked out extra room in a shorter car. For starters, Jazz's wheelbase has been stretched further apart by 3cm allowing its rear seat bench to move back outwardly by 7.6cm. Next, engineers made the centrally-mounted fuel tank located beneath the front seats thinner liberating more space for passengers but retains the same liter-volume as previous models. Plus, the new Jazz could be served in a hedonic shade of lemonade yellow to go with its packaging.

Lol was driving my car to work. Then on the xoressway slip road started hearing this grinding racket. First thought is I got a flat again and the rim is scrapping the floor. Reached work but no flat. Nothing dragging from under carriage. Racket continuous as long as wheels are running. Lol sounds horrible. Gotta go work shop tomorrow.

It's just launched in Thailand. So ours should arrive soon too I suppose. http://paultan.org/2014/01/23/2014-honda-city-launched-in-thailand/ Looks to me that a high spec City is all the car that most people would need. 6 airbags, VSA, cruise control, rear a/c. Looks like no sunroof for Thai cars unlike India. It's amazing how 'low end' cars have so much kit these days (case in point:the Kia K3)! This level of equipment used to be only in much higher end cars.

Replacement for the Fit Shuttle, but I guess Honda decision to drop the "Fit" moniker in attempt to make the new model a class above the Fit. IMO, this is a decent model (in look and size) comparable to the Airwave.

Hi All, Any Civic drivers facing the same issue with water droplets in the head / back lights after rain or wash? Is it normal? My paint protection guys told me this is a defect for a new car, suspected sealant has not been done properly. But the Honda agent say it is normal- 16 replies

Hello Everyone, I saw that some drivers in the Honda jazz fit group on Facebook received notifications of vehicle recall due to Fuel pump impeller. Personally, i have not received the notifications but out of curiosity, i went to onemotoring to check on it since my car is a Honda Fit manufactured in 2019. True enough, it was under a recall program. Under the Onemotoring page, i was advised to contact the importer or dealer for rectifications. I have since then contacted the importer to ask for advice. However, i was directed to contact my dealer to get it rectified instead. My dealer may have closed down and I shared this with the importer. I was informed to get it rectified at my own workshop. My work shop however have turned down this rectification work as they do not know exactly what needs to be replace or changed. As the description of it is very brief. "Improper molding conditions in the impeller (resin impeller) of a low-pressure fuel pump can cause the resin density to become low, causing it to swell and become deformed by the fuel. As a result, the impeller may come into contact with the pump case, causing the fuel pump to malfunction, and in the worst-case scenario, the engine may stall while driving. Replace the low-pressure fuel pump with a countermeasure item." I have since informed the importer that my dealer has possible closed down and that my workshop do not want to do the job - pending their reply. Any advice from anyone who have faced or are facing such issues at the moment ? Thank you.

Cars that run on hydrogen and exhaust only water vapor are emerging to challenge electric vehicles as the world’s transportation of the future. At auto shows on two continents Wednesday, three automakers unveiled hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to be delivered to the general public as early as next spring. Hyundai Motor Co. will be the first to the mass market in the U.S. It unveiled a hydrogen-powered Tucson small SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show that will be leased to consumers. Honda also revealed plans in Los Angeles for a car due out in 2015. Earlier, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota promised a mass-produced fuel cell car by 2015 in Japan and 2016 in the U.S. Hydrogen cars are appealing because unlike electric vehicles, they have the range of a typical gasoline car and can be refueled quickly. Experts say the industry also has overcome safety and reliability concerns that have hindered distribution in the past. But hydrogen cars still have a glaring downside — refueling stations are scarce, and costly to build. Consumers can expect costs in line with some luxury models. In Tokyo, Toyota promised a price of $50,000 to $100,000, and as close to the lower figure as possible. That’s comparable to its Lexus luxury sedans, but a range that makes the once space-age experiment with fuel cells more credible. Hyundai said it will lease the Tucsons for $499 per month for three years with $3,000 down. And Hyundai is offering to pay the hydrogen and maintenance costs. The company will start leasing in the Los Angeles area, where most of the state’s nine fueling stations are located. California lawmakers have allocated $100 million to build 100 more. Honda wouldn’t reveal any pricing details. Even as battery-powered and hybrid-electric cars took on conventional gasoline models in the past decade, automakers continued research into hydrogen fuel cells, said Paul Mutolo, director of external partnerships for the Cornell University Energy Materials Center. Manufacturers now are limited only by costs and the lack of filling stations, he said. Hydrogen cars, Mutolo said, have an advantage over battery-powered electric cars because drivers don’t have to worry about running out of electricity and having to wait hours for recharging. “It’s very similar to the kind of behavior that drivers have come to expect from their gasoline cars,” he said. Hydrogen fuel cells use a complex chemical process to separate electrons and protons in hydrogen gas molecules. The electrons move toward a positive pole, and the movement creates electricity. That powers a car’s electric motor, which turns the wheels. Since the hydrogen isn’t burned, there’s no pollution. Instead, oxygen also is pumped into the system, and when it meets the hydrogen ions and electrons, that creates water and heat. The only byproduct is water. A fuel cell produces only about one volt of electricity, so many are stacked to generate enough juice. Hydrogen costs as little as $3 for an amount needed to power a car the same distance as a gallon of gasoline, Mutolo said. Source: https://www.mycarforum.com/forums/forum/2-japanese-talk/?do=add Honda will introduce its new Ye Series of electric vehicles at this month's Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. These new vehicles will join the automaker's existing e:N Series EV lineup that is already on sale in China, and they will begin going on sale before the end of the year. The first two models that will arrive are the Ye P7 and Ye S7. The pair will ride on a newly developed EV platform available in single-motor, rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configurations. Honda says it will tailor the RWD variants "to offer sporty and crisp handling" while gearing the AWD versions toward "high power and highly responsive handling." The photos show the two EVs in just a couple of angles, with the pair featuring similar silhouettes. However, both have distinct front fascias, with the S7's styling being a bit sportier than its sibling. The brand also has plans to launch future production models based on the Ye GT Concept. The GT has a coupe-like profile—it looks like a squished S7—with a pointier nose, sleeker headlights, no cladding, and a wide, low profile. Honda doesn't offer much regarding the GT's specs, but it said it designed the EV "to provide the ultimate driving experience." It'll also be the first Honda automobile ever to feature a large screen for the front seat passenger. Honda says the Ye P7 and Ye S7 will go on sale before the end of this year. Production models based on the Ye GT Concept will hit dealer lots in China by the end of 2025. The company plans to introduce 10 new EVs in the Chinese market by 2027, six of which will be new Ye Series models. Its latest series of EVs is all part of the automaker's plan to shift its lineup to fully electric vehicles in China by 2035.

Without seeking help from Google, can you guess which model is the donor for this fake Dodge Challenger? Coachbuilding is almost a lost art, but Japanese company Mitsuoka is trying to keep the magic alive. It has built some weird cars over the years, including a retro Miata that looked like a Morgan Aero 8 and a Jaguar XK120 had an affair. The most unconventional build in recent memory was this – the M55. Initially a concept, the fake muscle car is going into production. Unveiled in November 2023 to celebrate Mitsuoka's 55th anniversary, the quirky Dodge Challenger lookalike is actually a Honda Civic underneath its vintage body. In the months that have passed, the company has received more than 1,300 messages from people wanting to buy the contraption: "This was the first time for us to receive such passionate messages directly from so many people of all ages and both sexes." Due to popular demand, Mitsuoka has decided to make the M55 a reality. However, it's going to take a while. The company intends to have the car on sale near the end of 2025. Additional details are yet to be disclosed but we'll remind you the concept was based on the Civic five-door hatchback and had a 1.5-liter engine hooked up to a six-speed manual gearbox. While the car's front says Challenger, the rear makes us think of 1970s Japanese coupes, such as a Nissan Skyline or a Mitsubishi Galant GTO. The profile is an obvious reminder that the automotive oddity is a Civic at its core. Inside, Mitsuoka went through the trouble of adding retro-looking blue upholstery and it swapped out the Honda badge on the steering wheel for its logo. Mitsuoka certainly has imagination, and there are apparently enough people interested to warrant the development of a production model. This is more than just a comprehensive body kit since the headlights and taillights are also tailor-made, as is the front grille. The rear window louvers seem to take inspiration from a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Mitsuoka reckons it won't be able to build enough cars to meet demand because the conversion will take time since all necessary changes will be performed manually. Pricing has yet to be disclosed but given the extent of the modifications, it's safe to say it won't be cheap.

Hello. Would like to seek some opinions here. Thinking of respraying my car as the paintwork is turning yellowish and there are paintwork damages (stone chips, dings and dangs) on the bumper. Previous owner also used liquid paper to try to mask up the stone chips. If I were to respray on the current bumper, after refibre/putty+respray, would there be a risk of the paintwork cracking after sometime? Or would it actually be wiser to replace the bumper with a good condition secondhand one followed by respray? I'm keeping my options opened. May be a good time to change new bodykit as well but not exactly familiar with the different types.

Source: https://uk.motor1.com/news/703878/honda-new-ev-logo/ Honda EVs will be getting a fresh logo. The company is updating its iconic "H mark," which has been used continuously on all of its cars since 1981. The new logo — which Honda says represents "two outstretched hands" — is a thinner, minimalist version of the current H, minus the trapezoid border. This new logo bears a striking resemblance to Honda's first logo. Introduced in 1963 (which can be seen below in the historical timeline), the original H featured a similarly thin, top-heavy design, albeit one that was wider rather than taller. That logo was only briefly used in America on the first car the company sold, the 1969 N600, before the badge was redesigned in 1969. Honda will debut its new H logo on future 0 Series electric cars. The 0 Series is a lineup of next-gen, clean-sheet-design EVs that will be introduced to American buyers starting in 2026; those cars will also get their own unique branding, seen below. The first two 0 Series vehicles are concepts called the Saloon and the Space-Hub, a saloon and a van that share a similar futuristic wedge-shaped exterior. The Saloon, Honda has confirmed, will inspire a future production model for American streets; that'll likely be the first time the new H emblem could be seen on US roads. There's no word if this new "H" will be paired with the spelled-out Honda badging on the back of the company's upcoming EV SUV, the Prologue, or if the Prologue will get the new badging with a later facelift. Honda also hasn't intentionally played up the parallels to the company's first car logo, but with the resurgence of nostalgic nameplates getting revived both at Honda and elsewhere, we can't help but wonder if callback advertisements or models are in the company's future.
