  1. If I release my brake slowly and stop again esp at traffic lights, I can hear this creaking metallic sound coming from my rear, as if some hinges is not well oil. The brake is working well just the noise is annoying for a car that is quite new on the road. There is no noise if I release brake fully, it comes only if I didnt fuly release the brake pedal like in stop start situation. Any idea or similar exp anyone?
  2. What a blardy prick! http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_804006.html
  3. Dear brothers and sisters of MCF, This morning I experienced "groaning" sound coming from the front when I was braking from speed ranging from 30-50km/h. I didn't drive my car after last Sunday when I drove through a mini flood till today morning. My steering doesn't feel any jerk while braking but the sound sounds pretty scary, I haven't tried high speed braking yet though. So I was hoping to hear some advice from you guys. Should I go to a workshop to do a check? If yes, do you have any reliable and recommended workshop to do a quick check? (preferably not too far from the east) Thank you so much in advance! Regards, Tsr729
  4. Hi, My car exhibits groaning sound, quite loud, when turning left or right. Time to replace drive shaft? Bushings? What happens if dont replace?
  5. Hi, Wondering if anyone knows or encountered an initial groaning sound for a second, coming from the wheels (front I think) or maybe just from underneath the car when I do a reverse. It only comes out when initially reversing, never when driving forward. I've tried reversing straight, with full lock, with half lock, any direction and the groaning sound always comes out. One thing I noticed is sometimes, after the first reverse, the sound does not come out. Also during rain or after having recently finished raining, there is no sound too. Could it be some part is dry and need lubricating? If so, which part and how do I lubricate it? Thanks.
  6. I had my brakepad replaced about 3000km ago. However, recently (abt 1 month back), my front left brake gives out a loud groaning sound ... It occurs on very very rare occasion ... especially from cold or occasional hard braking. E.g. the first few traffic light stop when driving off after stopping car for a while (even say 10min of idling !!!) However, after about 3 braking, the sound is gone. Another scenario is when braking from say 80km/h to traffic light stop .. the sound will come again. I initially wanted to blame on rust .. but my disc rotor dun look rusty at all ... Also, even after 10min of idling, I can't possibily accumulate rust on my rotor rite ! I've checked with 3 workshops and all blame it on the material of the brake pad. BTW, I am using Honda brake pad.
