  3. https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/andrew-tai-/new-car-technology_b_8437666.html I came across this article and I kind of agreed with it. Recently I sat in a Subaru impreza and Iwas kind of impressed wwith it but I realised it was full of features and gadgets that I thought I will never use. so its like kind of wasted and will be distracting to me if I bought it. what do the Bros here think? Are there too many features in new modern cars of am I a dinosaur?
  4. Any bros watching now or have watched this before? Very interesting programme which shows all of these 101 gadgets supposingly changing the world. For example at no. 76, the humble can opener was named as one. Can opener? No you didn't hear wrongly because some how the inventor of cans did not even think of how to open them long time ago. Weird right? The Allies apparently won one of the 3 crucial battles in WWII, the Battle of Alamein, against the Axies mainly because they were armed with US P38s ( no not the German Walther 9mm pistol nor the Lockheed twin-engine fighter) can openers & were able to open their C-rations cans to consume the food inside whereas their opponents could not. Betcha don't know this right? Bros can still watch it as it is still showing now till 12am.
  5. WhyMobile Telecommunications WhyMobile's mission is to create an honest and exciting way to shop for electronic gadgets in the comfort of your own home. Our Business Established since 2004, WhyMobile Pte Ltd (formerly WhyMobile Telecommunications (Singapore) LLP) is an IDA licensed retailer of new and used mobile phones in Singapore. It started in late 2003 when four mobile phone enthusiasts got together after being scammed at neighborhood retail stores. They were usually being quoted unbelievably low prices only to find that the phones sold to them had items removed, or were to be further subjected to sales taxes (GST). After having found out from IRAS that all GST registered traders are to display their GST registration number in tax invoices and quote GST-inclusive prices upfront, they were frustrated and decided to create an honest business of their own. By Q1 2004, WhyMobile's first website was launched. Subsequently in Q2 2004, we opened our first physical retail outlet in a small push cart outside Plaza Singapura to serve as a convenient collection point for our customers. After several months of bustling business, a facelift was given to the website in Q3 2004. By Q2 2005, we were asked to leave the kiosk at Plaza Singapura as they were to be demolished and rebuilt into an event space. We then moved to our current location in Far East Plaza and are here to stay. Our easy-to-navigate virtual store, no gimmicks policy, extremely competitive prices, wide range of products, door-to-door delivery and excellent customer service is our winning strategy that has captured the hearts of our customers all over the world. Pricing Policy WhyMobile believes in creating value through competitive pricing. Stores generally mark up their prices by a substantial amount to buffer for charges incurred by electronic payments. In order to keep our costs low, we do not buffer these charges and transfer them only to those who opt to use electronic payment methods. Trade-In & Buy-Back Prices Buy back is a scheme for customers to sell brand new phones to us for cash , especially if they do not need the phone after a recontract. If the phone was purchased from a telco , the original telco receipt is required. Prices are based on phones in sealed condition with an undated warranty card . $10 - $20 will be deducted for unsealed set . $10 will also be deducted if warranty card is dated . *Prices are subjected to change at any time during the day . Trade-in values are only approximate valuations . The actual value of your trade-in will depend on it’s physical condition , original accessories ( including memory cards ) , remaining manufacturer’s warranty ( if any ) and original packaging . So do not throw them away ! To obtain an accurate quote for your phone , please bring the entire set to our store for a trade-in analysis . *Prices are subjected to change at any time during the day . We do not accept damaged or defective devices . No Refund / Exchange Policy While WhyMobile will do our best to ensure that your purchases are free from defects , we would like our customers to note that we DO NOT have any refund or 7-days exchange policy . 6. I realised my desktop gadgets were not displaying on my office desktop and home desktop dispite several attempts on restoring it. I search thru the web for a solution. Some were pretty useless and I finally got one that works even after reboot. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/140358-gadgets-not-displaying-correctly-windows-7-fix.html Use "Option 2" I cut & paste for easy ref. Go to "Start" (bottom left hand corner), search for "command prompt". Excecute. After you see the command prompt window appear, cut and paste each following command One by One and enter. Nevermind if some gives you error message. Just continue with the next command until you reach the last. taskkill /im sidebar.exe /f regsvr32 msxml3.dll regsvr32 scrrun.dll regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 atl.dll Regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\sbdrop.dll" Regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\wlsrvc.dll" reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones" /f "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe" After that you should be able to see your desktop gadgets reappear. 15. Take a look at this. Not sure if its true or not. Fuel-Saving Gadgets Put To The Test Taken from http://www.kirotv.com/consumer/2220354/detail.html KIROTV.com Fuel-Saving Gadgets Put To The Test Gizmos Tested On Fleet Of AAA Trucks POSTED: 5:27 p.m. PDT May 21, 2003 Wayne Havrelly KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Consumer Investigator It's here at last: Secret fuel saving technology! Sound familiar? Every time gas prices rise, so do claims about gadgets that are supposed to dramatically improve your car's fuel economy. Some of these claims are amazing, like a product that claims it will increase your mileage by 27 percent! We installed several different gas-saving gizmos on a fleet of trucks so we could put these amazing claims to the test -- from air-spinning devices in your car's air intake to powerful magnets designed to make the fuel in your car burn more efficiently. We tested several of these claims that promise to save you big money at the pump by improving your car's fuel economy. With the help of American Automobile Association's fleet of service trucks, we put all these devices through a month of extensive testing. "We actually monitor the fuel mileage of these vehicles constantly, so we already had a very established base line to what they are getting," said Don Beyer of AAA. The "Fuel Saver Pro" is a $65 dollar magnetic gadget that snaps over the fuel line. It's supposed to increase mileage up to 27% by magnetizing fuel and making it more efficient. A $74 whirling air device called "The Tornado" spins inside the air intake hose. According to a television infomercial, it improves the air fuel mixture which increases mileage. We paid $90 for the "Super Fuel Max," which turned out to be identical to the first magnetic device we bought -- except it costs about 25 dollars more. For fun, we slapped some duct tape on a fourth truck. "We contend that this fuel saving device probably works as well as the others," said Don Beyer. As the trucks went through tank after tank of fuel, the mileage was closely monitored every time. So in the end, which gas saver saved the most? The mileage actually got worse three percent on the truck with the Fuel Saver Pro magnet. The Super Fuel Max magnet performed even worse, decreasing mileage by nearly five percent. After 15,00 miles of driving, the Tornado air swirling device increased mileage 5.3 percent. So how did our duct tape perform? "The KIRO fuel-saving device actually finished in first place

Now I am very confuse! Now I am trying to find some material on far infra red gadgets on automotive performance. I heard from someone that you clipped the thing on the fuel line also. Anyone got any info?
