  1. An unfortunate accident has occurred in the early afternoon of April 1st, 2022 (not an April Fool's Day joke) involving an oversized trailer. Watch the aftermath of the accident here: What Happened? An oversized trailer was reported to have fallen off an upper flyover along West Coast Highway. It was left overturned and engulfed in flames, emitting thick smoke. West Coast Highway Flyover has been closed off as traffic is impassable due to scattered debris and a fallen lamp post obstructing traffic flow. It is unclear how many casualties were involved in the accident and what caused the trailer to lose control and fall from a height.   3. Stomper Max P shared this photo of a Rolls Royce that had caught fire at Loyang Avenue this afternoon (April 13). Several other vehicles have caught fire recently, with the latest incident involving a white hatchback car that near Yishun Stadium on April 10. Stomper Max wrote in an email to Stomp: "Rolls Royce on fire at Loyang Avenue exit from PIE. Took this just now at 1.35pm. "We were passing by, not sure if anybody was injured. "At the time when we passed by, the Rhino firefighters just arrived. "Half of the backside of the car was burned and disintegrated already." Is that an old Rolls Royce? How come the rear caught fire first? Fuel leak?
  4. IN a second accident to be reported along the Pan-Island Expressway in a day, a car burst into flames on the highway on Monday evening. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call about the incident at 7.15pm. Officers arrived to find a sedan car on fire along the PIE in the direction of Tuas, after the Eng Neo exit. It is not known how the car burst into flames. No one was hurt and the flames were extinguished immediately, the SCDF spokesman said. Earlier in the afternoon, two men sustained minor injuries in an accident involving a van, a mini-bus and at least two other vehicles, also along the PIE. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to the incident around 12.45pm and they promptly dispatched one fire engine, one Red Rhino and two fire motorbikes to the scene. The driver of the ComfortDelGro taxi said that she stopped her taxi at the road shoulder after she saw smoke emerging from her car bonnet, reported Channel NewsAsia. Minutes later, the bonnet caught fire. SCDF firefighters reached the scene shortly after. According to SCDF, the fire was put out within ten minutes and no one was injured. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire. This is the second incident in less than a month that a taxi has caught fire along an expressway. On April 24, a Comfort Hyundai Sonata taxi burst into flames in a tunnel on the Central Expressway (CTE), causing a massive jam that stretched all the way to Ang Mo Kio.

In what is believed to be the first fire incident involving a Lamborghini Aventador, the raging bull caught fire on California Route 73 South past El Toro Rd near Newport Beach recently. The entire episode was filmed on how the fire department had the blaze under control. The incident occurred when the driver was taking the Aventador out for a test drive.   8. This car hit a bus stop near Siglap CC before bursting into flames. According to one STOMPer, the driver was a man in his 60's and had suffered minor injuries. STOMPers Pauline, Gintai and JayyDoubleYouu all sent in pictures and comments on the incident. STOMPer JayyDoubleYouu says he was was alerted by the noise of the incident: "This happened on Dec 20, 2011 at about 3:30pm "We heard loud bangs but thought that it was the sound of people culling crows nearby. "When we went to look, we saw a car on fire and thick, black smoke rising from the wrecked car. "At first, only the pavement and car were on fire, but later the fire spread towards the bus stop causing the roof of the bus stop to burn also. "There was no sign of the driver there. "A fire engine arrived very quickly and the firemen fought bravely despite the intermittent explosions from the car." STOMPer Pauline drove by the incident in her car. She wrote: "I passed by this accident. Even from the other lane, I could feel the heat of the flames. "I'm not sure what happened, but the car was up on the pavement burning. "The driver appeared to be a man in his 60's. He was injured and being tended to by paramedics. "The SCDF were fighting the fire at the time." STOMPer Gintai claims the man was ablaze as he exited his vehicle. He wrote: "I just saw a car hit a bus stop at Bedok South. The driver ran out on fire. "There was no one at bus stop."

  12. STOMPer Kerwin was shocked to come across a seemingly abandoned MPV that had caught fire on 16 July at about 8.35pm and immediately contacted the SCDF. In his email dated "An MPV was seen burning furiously off Tampines Avenue 10 near Bedok Reservoir from about 8.35pm onwards. "The whole car was engulfed in flames but nobody was seen nearby except for a few curious motorists who stopped their vehicles to watch. "I called SCDF and they arived about five minutes later. "I really hope that no one was in the car when it ignited." STOMP is contacting SCDF for comment.
  13. Lucky my car and bike were parked on higher floor, but there is still some minor damages to my rear bumper paint work. Counted myself lucky in this incident than those cars parked near to those burning bikes. 3 carparks in flames and my house MSCP has 3 different location set fire to. Estmated total 14 bikes burnt just in my carpark, excluding 1 bike parked illegally in the garden been burnt too. Another carpark has 3 bikes burnt and a car front "melted". No too sure abt the 3rd carpark. Hiaz...lot of washing to do today. F*&% the axxxxxe(s) who has done these. Hope the police able to catch him soon before he acts again.
