While here people are still harping over the bronze medal, our northern neighbour already one-up by being guaranteed at least a silver in the men's badminton. Home-grown talent too... It's very funny that they have to address this obviously young guy as "datuk" all the time! Wonder if the coach has to call him that too? http://thestar.com.my/sports/olympics/stor...ympics&nc=1 Badminton - Malaysia's Lee reaches men's singles final Friday, August 03, 2012 MYT 9:45:04 PM Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei plays against China's Chen Long during their men's singles badminton semifinals match during the London 2012 Olympic Games at the Wembley Arena August 3, 2012. For a season which promised so much, last night's AI finals was by far one of the worst in a long long time. Both singers had very poor dynamics, i.e. more or less the same volume throughout the song without any climax or quiets parts, the songs were poor and not engaging at all.....we had very good finals the past few years but yesterday was an utter disappointment.

The 2010 World Cup will kick off tonight in Johannesburg and it is apt to recollect our memories of Goal 2010. In 1998 then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, reminiscent of Kennedy's moon landing challenge in 1961, bravely set a target for the FAS to land 11 Singaporean men in the World Cup Finals before 2010 was out. As it turns out, the task was not easy, but far harder than landing a man on the moon and bringing him safely back. Perhaps the late late settlement of TV broadcasting rights was a conspiracy by someone high up to prevent Singaporeans from watching the World Cup and being reminded of the failed Goal 2010.
