Indonesian teenager to have excess skin removed after obesity treatment https://www.asiaone.com/asia/indonesian-teenager-have-excess-skin-removed-after-obesity-treatment Thirteen-year-old Arya Permana from Karawang, West Java, after years of treatment for obesity, has been declared ready for plastic surgery to reduce his sagging skin as a result of massive weight loss. The surgery for Arya, who was once one of the heaviest children in the world, is scheduled to take place in the next two weeks at the Hasan Sadikin General Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung. "We plan to conduct the surgery in five stages," the hospital's nutrition and metabolic specialist and pediatrician Tisnasari Hafsah, a member of the team of doctors in charge of the boy's treatment, said on Wednesday. Arya weighed 189.6 kilograms at 147 centimeters in height when he was first admitted to the hospital at the age of 10 for a weight-loss programme. He underwent bariatric surgery at Omni Hospital in Jakarta in June 2017. He is now 87 kg, leaving parts of his skin sagging, especially on his belly, arms and thighs. "I am happy. The doctors say parts of my skin will be removed. The surgery will last four to five hours," Arya said while undergoing a health check at the hospital on Wednesday. Thanks to the weight-loss programme, Arya can currently join physical activities with his friends. Previously, he could only lie face down while playing games. RSHS president director Ayi Djembarsari said the obesity of Arya, who hails from Pasir Piring village in Cipurwasari subdistrict, Tegalwaru district, was an interesting case in the medical world. "We are trying to reduce his weight in a short time and, of course, it has to be closely monitored," Ayi said. The hospital's medical and nursing director, Nucki Nursjamsi Hidajat, said Arya was once recorded as one of the 10 most obese children in the world. Another member of Arya's team of doctors, Viramitha Kusnandi Rusmil, said Arya needed a series of preparations to undergo the plastic surgery, so that he would have an ideal body mass index (BMI). "This is a case of super obesity. Arya ideally should be 61 kg in weight. We will know how much the weight loss is only after the surgery," said Viramitha, adding that the surgery would be done when Arya reached 80 kg. Arya's mother Rokayah said the plastic surgery might be covered by the Health Care and Social Security Agency.

ok, I went through the homepage and conclusion I have is singtel charges $10.70 per GB of excess data. my plan gives me 3gb of data + 1 gb of data (CIS) = 4 gb. but when i opened my bill last night, i saw my data clocked about 4.5gb but there was an additional $30 for the excess 0.5gb data !? when you hit 90% of you data, ST will send a warning SMS ... i did not get that. i will usually check on the last day of my billing cycle (Singtel app) and i am sure i only clocked about 3.4gb at the end of the day. anyone got wrong billing by singtel before ?

Hi all, Would like to seek everyone's advice as i'm so lost on what to do now. The story goes as follows, I rented a WRX from my friend for 2 days. It was a verbal rental agreement basis, no black and white. On the first day after supper, while we were about to head home, my friend requested to drive the car back. I rejected him repeatedly however he persisted. So on the account of friendship and trusting he would be careful, i allowed him to drive back. I warned him several times NEVER EVER to corner the car because the tires are semi worn out. However on the way back the worst case scenario happened; he lost control of the car during a corner and crashed it up a kerb into the bushes. Damage is pretty severe with the four wheels (Including axle, brake calipers, rims) heavily damaged. The front , back bumper and the boot were totally gone. However i believe the car chassis is still pretty much intact. We were quoted 20+ k for the repair. The worst case is the owner only has 3rd party insurance which was true as i checked up with AXA. (I think its illegal to have 3rd party insurance for a Rex on loan) I'm so lost now because my friend claims responsibility but is unable to pay up, and his dad can't help him too. I'm like the middleman and I really dunno what to do. For the sake of friendship, i lent him in the end despite rejecting him repeating because i trusted he would take responsibility and drive carefully. And now I'm so afraid the owner would lose his cool and find ways to settle with me. My friend tells me to await the owner to sue him and thus able to settle in court beacuse he really doesn't have the cash. But now the problem is that the owner would come looking for me. I'm so worried. Is there any way the owner could sue me or my friend? Is it possible?

Will be planning a driving trip to Australia. I'm weighing the option of whether to include the 'Reduce Reliability" package from the car hirer. Generally most Car hirer will charge from AUD$3300 - $5000 excess regardless damge is your fault or not, but with the "Reduce Liabiilty: package, this excess can reduce to AUD $330-440. But this "Reduce Liability" Package don't come cheap, at rounf AUD $26 per day, for a 8 days, trip, this would mean a extra AUD$208 on car rental for peace of mind. Since I'll be buying travel insurance, I'm hoping to find one with good rental vehicle excess. So far checked AIG =$750. AXA=$1000. Tenet=$500, MSIG Premium plan =$1500. Anymore recommendations?

So chio bu saliva is the secret to delicious pastries! STOMPer eeleen was disgusted by this cake shop employee who was seen swiping off excess cream filling from cookies she was preparing and then licking them off her fingers. Said the STOMPer: "I was with my nephew decorating a cake at The Icing Room at Jurong Point yesterday (Nov 27) when I saw this really disgusting employee filling cookies with cream. "She was swiping off excess cream from each cookie with her bare fingers and then licking them off, before handling more cookies and filling! "She did this for the entire tray of cookies which were to be for sale later! "I also noticed that the other employees of this bakery were handling ingredients like fruit with their bare hands instead of using gloves. "This is very unhygienic and I don't think I will ever go back to that bakery again for cookies and cakes they prepare." Video here

Hi, I am in the process of sourcing my own motor insurance. I got a few quotes and I need to select one of them. So far the quotations are on the higher side because I am a new driver and taking up comprehensive coverage on a sporty car. A few insurers suggested option with higher excess ($2K, $5K, etc) for lower premiums. However I am not sure of the implications of having a high excess... for example scenarios like... 1) Other people kiss my back and I claim his insurance. 2) I kiss other people back and he claim my insurance, btw what about my own car damage? how to settle? 3) Both cars hit by the side, 50-50 cases. 4) I hit an object, wall, tree, lamp post. 5) Other people kiss my car in the car park, hit-and-run cases. From my understanding, excess only applies if I make a claim on my own insurance. And I heard that most people actually would not claim their own insurance even if they are having the lowest excess because they do not want to lose their NCD. Considering that I am a new driver and would like to build up my NCD... please advice... thanks...

yo bros.. hope someone can enlighten me.. what they mean by $0 excess in auto insurance. I was quoted an amount, but I noticed following that they stated $0 excess. my past few insurance policies for my car actually have excess amounting $300-$500. Is it better to have $0 excess?

I have booked a camry for 8 days for about A$408. The excess is about A$3000. To reduce the excess to A$250, I need to pay accident excess of A$25.45 per day. My travel insurance will cover me S$500 on the excess. Should I take the accident excess? Thanks for your feedback.

Hi guys, Insurance due for renewal next month. Received 2 quotes which I would like to use for advise AIG with $20k PA Premium - $1900 Excess - $2500 - Authorised workshop only - Car lesser than 3 yrs old can go back Agent. NTUC with $50k PA Premium - $1500 Excess - $0 - Authorised workshop via Tender - Car lesser within warranty can go back to Agent but with T&C Any rules, T&C that is pegged to AIG when going back to Agent? Read that it may be more of a hassle to claim with with NTUC. But this hassle will only be experienced when I claim against myself only right? All other scenarios is between me and 3rd party's ins coy or 3rd party with my ins coy ? If i am ready to put up with the hassle, the significant difference in excess is enough to justify to go with NTUC? Thanks for advising!
