EgyptAir said late Wednesday one of its aircraft disappeared while flying from Paris to Cairo with 69 people aboard. The Egyptian flag carrier said Flight MS804, which departed Paris at 11:09 p.m. local time, “disappeared from radar” at 2:45 a.m. Cairo time Thursday while at 37,000 feet, according to tweets on the airline’s verified Twitter account. The Airbus A320 with 59 passengers and 10 crew was last spotted over the Mediterranean Sea en route to Cairo, according to flight-tracking websites. The airline said that a search and rescue operation was under way. The jet disappeared 10 miles inside Egyptian airspace, which has its northern border in the middle of the Mediterranean, the airline said, one of the planet’s busiest air corridors connecting Europe and the Middle East. The incident would be the second major air disaster in Egypt since October, when an Airbus A321 operated by Russian carrier Metrojet crashed in Sinai killing all 224 aboard. U.S. and U.K. authorities have said a terror attack likely downed the jet while it was flying from Sharm El Sheikh to St. Petersburg in Russia.

This could set off the next global crisis. The Thailand street protests seems mild if you compare potential after effects as this may set off wars, financial markets to plunge and oil supply cut off etc ............... if it spreads to the other Arabic oil producing countries .............. esp Saudi Arabia, start praying hard.

Had to make an urgent trip to Egypt last week, but had some time to take pictures. many of you when mention about Egypt wil think of the pyramids, the sphinx etc etc, well, I have seen those before on other trips that I made to Egypt, this time I was not in Cairo so I did not see those touristy place, but instead, I went through the Suez Canal and here's what I saw.... As the plane approaches Cairo, I took a shot of the dessert below, senai Dessert where a war was fought over the land mass of sand,.... Plane landed at Cairo airport and as expected, plenty of hassle going through immigration... no pictures, but u can imagine.... In the car on way north to Port Said, which is the north entrance of the Suez Canal, on the great dessert road.... While at Said, I stayed at the Grand Albatross hotel, a four star, not so bad, but service need improvements... Had coffee.... turkish if u need to know... Cashier at the restuarant.... The hotel is built within a condo project and here's the pool.... Just behind the hotel is the beach area, facing the Med Sea... Shisha pipes at cafe by the beach... To be continued..................
