I think the list can go on and on. . . But to give a summary, I have chosen my 10 cars i would love to drive/seat in before I die. They are not rank accordingly. So there is no number one place. Just these 10 iconic car that I like personally. NSX Type R (NA1) The car's strong chassis rigidity and cornering/handling capabilities were the results of Ayrton Senna's direct input with NSX's chief engineers while testing the NSX prototype car at Honda's Suzuka Circuit during its final development stages. BMW M3 CSL Coupé, sport, lightweight construction. CSL: three letters that give every sports car fan goosebumps. The BMW M3 CSL is regarded as an icon and the crowning achievement of the third M3 series. Lotus Exige S The S stands for supercharged. The result was a featherweight, high-revving rocket with 220 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque, a track junkie’s dream. Tesla Roadster I just want to be part of the history of mankind too. 0-100 at 3.7 Secs, That is ludicrous fast. Alfa Romeo GTA 1,600 cc DOHC twin-plug inline four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox that’s capable of churning out 170 horses. This was a love at first sight for sure. Mazda Miata (NA) a.k.a Eunos Roadster. It loves to rev, it wants to play. Overtaking cars three times your size is a breeze, and you sit so close to the road that the other motorists probably didn’t even notice you were there. Porsche 996 It was controversial at the time of its launch mainly because it was the first 911 to switch from air- to water-cooling, and also because of its ‘fried-egg’ headlights with integrated indicators. The more people who hate it, makes me want to drive that car even more. Daihatsu Charade GTti Nothing much, just a world's most powerful production 1.0-litre car for a very long time. And plus my father used to drive one. McLaren F1 Just how many supercar in the world that let you sit in the centre of the car? 618 horses in a normally aspirated, 6.1-liter V-12, custom-designed for the McLaren F1 by BMW Motorsports. Maserati MC12 A supercar based on the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, and an even rare unicorn of 50 production units are sold just to participate in FIA Manufacturer's Cup.

For one Kuala Lumpur native however, choosing to abandon flying favour of an even longer journey that involved driving across the globe to Europe in the name of love is the way to go. Engku Mohammad Hadri Engku Hassan began his journey on Monday, to drive across 25 countries including China, Mongolia, Latvia, Russia before reaching Germany where his fiancée is from. Hadri arrived on the Thai border earlier this morning, updating followers via Instagram that his journey so far has been smooth sailing. Hadri’s friend and fellow car enthusiast Lim Wai Hong, wrote on his motoring Facebook page Hayashi86.com that the 34-year-old met his future wife in Germany back in 2007. The two were acquainted prior to that via the Internet and that the language barrier was never an issue. Two years later, Hadri flew back to Germany to see her and confessed his love for her with a stalk of rose and a letter. They have been together ever since and Hadri popped the question a few years later. “He wants to show his fiancée he is doing this for her and it’s how much he’s willing to sacrifice — it’s a beautiful story,” Lim told Malay Mail when contacted. On behalf of his friend, Lim added that Hadri’s father helped his son to plan the driving routes and calculate the petrol consumption and mileage required to complete the journey. The trip, christened The Retro Havoc Motorsport World Tour will also be promoting Visit Malaysia Year 2020 (VM2020) at each destination during the expedition’s 98-day journey. can follow his instagram here https://www.instagram.com/ae86worldtour/

We recently took out the fantastic looking 12C for a little drive and figured that its name could also mean something more in our local context. If you don't get what I mean, do have a quick read here ;) As usual, I have more yummy photos of the supercar that we didn't publish in the feature... High door sill making entry a little tough. But once settled in, superb seats wrap around you snugly. We assume the air-con isn't so important after all, which explains why controls to the climate system are found on the driver's door - away from the centre console! Yup, the important buttons are all here. These stalks are a work of art. Nice to see such a high rev limit for a turbocharged engine. Some of your barang barang can stay behind the seats. Carefully designed vents for hot air to escape from the engine compartment. Steering is wonderfully alert on the move. LED taillights are incorporated well into the rear design. Metal paddles are a joy to use. Shifts are fast and crisp too. 12C basking under the warm glow of the morning sun, hours before we return to reality...

http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...979&DL=1000 How does it work? The COE will expire next month. So when that time comes, will it get scrapped if there are no takers till then? Also, does it mean that the body value is around 60k?

If our childhood dream jobs come true, maybe fire brigade, smrt, etc will have too many drivers? Can mr Heng tell teachers in schools to in-cul-gate the right mindsets to school kids that these are honorable, unselfish, public serving jobs that the nation needs? More interestingly, how many of us are actually working in our dream job now, or at least have done it before? Or our current job is good only for the pay but sucks? Or bad pay plus sickening? I do come across people whose job is what they like and these are quite happy workers, they have my envy Btw, I have no childhood dream job coz my parents killed it before I could repeat it: prime minister If money no issues, what kind of jobs we really like? Or just be a Tibetant, jobless also ok

met this uncle who seems to be dreaming while driving... By the way, I am not scolding vulgarities but the number plate really is CB... Just like to highlight that the vehicles in the video appeared faster than in real life... Met this uncle driver while he was already at the traffic light so I really don't think I have done anything to him... (don't know how to insert the video)

From Yahoo! News COMMENT One thing hasn't changed since a red supercar slammed into a taxi near Bugis Junction last weekend. Ferrari's showroom on Leng Kee Road is still open for business and its flashy website continues to sell the dream of macho power and unbridled speed. Anger at the unnecessary deaths has been directed at the rich young Chinese national at the wheel of the 599 GTO that night. When the video surfaced suggesting that he had ignored a red light, Singaporeans' outrage was matched only by that of people in China who are sick of the class of individuals in their midst who think they can get away with anything (because they often do). Opponents of gun control in the United States have a famous slogan that says, "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." It states the obvious, that unless you inhabit the world of Terminator or the Transformers, humans shouldn't be blaming machines for their problems. As obvious, though, is the fact that people can kill people is by failing to control the harm they can inflict with their machines. We already have speed limits, and the government has promised to step up enforcement. But, in this and all other cases of speed-related deaths, we seem to accept without question the right of manufacturers and merchants to sell fast cars that maybe just don't belong in a crowded city. The comparison with guns is instructive. The standard defence of gun rights in the US is that guns aren't used only to commit violent crimes: they can also be used for hunting and self-defence. But then you don't need a military assault rifle like an AK-47 for such purposes, so these are more tightly regulated. Cars, similarly, have mostly benign uses. When you think about it, though, it is odd that there are no special restrictions on buying the vehicular equivalents of AK-47s: cars expressly engineered for purposes that would be unsafe anywhere or anytime in Singapore. We have no speed-unlimited autobahns nor a cross-country rally course. Yet, luxury sports models like Ferraris and more-affordable racers such as the Subaru WRX ply our roads freely, packed with the kind of horsepower that has no legal purpose. True, a Ferrari is a thing of beauty even when it is standing still, so why shouldn't a car aficionado buy one like it's a piece of art. However, as last weekend's crash seemed to demonstrate, a thoroughbred strains to show what it was created for, and the temptation to let it can be irresistible. (When I last bought a car, I reluctantly decided against the Suzuki Swift Sport

Not exactly dream cars, but... Next car: the immediate, actual next car you are intending to get? Reachable dream car: The car that you hope to get if everything goes well (investments good returns, career progress finely, but NOT striking TOTO). Impossible dream car: This is the car that you dream about. But will never get. Barring striking toto. For me........ Next car: 3 yr old Vios/City/Elantra/etc. You get the drift. :( Reachable dream car: VW Golf R. It's 'practicle' as in it has 4 doors. And punchy....If the Polo R gets produced, that'll replace the Golf R because....CAT A COE and much cheaper road tax. Impossible dream car: Countach. I've been dreaming this since I was a wee kid.....

Maybe reality is very different, but America is said to be a land of opportunities and the American dream is that people can make it big regardless of background if they work hard. So what is the Singaporean dream? - Lower expectations and live frugally? - Work maximum hours for minimum pay? - Pray that your house get SERS / Enbloc? - Strike toto?

Apple lawsuit forces Samsung to recall Galaxy Tab 7.7 2011-09-05 08:46:19 Source:Xinhua BERLIN - South Korea's Samsung Electronics confirmed Monday its new Galaxy Tab 7.7 had been taken off the showcase shortly after its striking launch at the ongoing IFA 2011 consumer electronics show in Berlin. Samsung Electronics erased all traces of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from its exhibition stand at IFA, obviously as an injunction from the intellectual right protection lawsuit from Apple, the U.S. giant in mobile telecommunication, start to take effect in Germany. "Samsung has removed the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from our stand at IFA. We cannot make any further comment as we have not received an official statement from the court," a spokesman for Samsung said. A local court in Dusseldorf on September 2 granted Apple's request to add the Galaxy Tab 7.7 to the list of banned Samsung devices in Germany, after Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 was forbidden in German Market on an interim ban earlier in late August. As a result, Samsung is not allowed to sell or market the Galaxy Tab 7.7 in that country. Apple wants a ban on the selling and marketing of Samsung smartphones and tablet PCs, accusing it of copying Apple's market-leading iPhone and iPad, as the appearance of the larger Galaxy Tab is too similar to that of its iPad 2, the design of which is registered with the European Union's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market. Samsung has been entangled in a series of patent litigations as it tempts to challenge Apple's dominance in the world's mobile phone market, on charges of infringement from common designs to core technologies in smartphone and tablet computers. As a counterattack, Samsung also sued Apple had infringed its wireless technologies, while vowed its commercial legality in the European market, countering the German local court's injunction as "severely limits consumer choice in Germany." European intellectual property laws allow companies to protect the appearance of their products, in addition to the copyright, patent and trademark rights. On August 24, a Dutch court banned imports of three Samsung smartphones after finding that they breached an Apple patent, while in Australia Samsung has postponed the launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 pending the outcome of a lawsuit Apple filed with the Federal Court of Australia. Since Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 10.1, the older brother of the Galaxy Tab 7.7, in June, 2010, the Korean electronics giant has grabbed 20 percent of the tablet market, posing the biggest ever threat to Apple's dominance in this field.

...a dream that would dream of the place where she slept with the third party for the first night! It began one Sun evening in Nov 09, she said she was going to a beach party with students and she would be staying at a chalet. Thinking nothing much of it i just 'orrgh' and we went on. Strangely that night, a dream of this hotel at Keong Saik Road appeared and I awoke in a flurry of perspiration. It was 2 am. Feeling unsettled, I drove out to this said place, and upon turning into the lane, voila, her car was there. OK, I thought and drove home. That morning, sms-ed her and asked her where she was, and she reiterated, Beach. I asked her where Keong Saik road was, and there was silence. The very night, I asked again in her face, and she relented that she did indeed sleep with the third party. Case closed...my dream saved the day and the third party it seemed was truly surprised! Well, it went on for another year before she filed. Feelings had already subsided and guess it was time to move on. First Judgement Feb 2011, and finalised May 2011. Case closed. the dream saved my sanity. To those who still doubt...well, remember, Dreams do come true. Perhaps Bro Omom can shed some light!
