Eye-popping news: China & Russia start first navy drills. Though they are both commies in ideology, they are not exactly comrades-in-arms so to speak. Each has drifted apart since the early years and have evolved into their own style of "communism" individually over the past century. Each is now with their own sphere of influence over their proxies and a force to be reckoned with in it's own right against all other states especially their minor neighbours. So to learn that they are joining forces for a naval drill is bewildering. Purpose? Not exactly a secret but to ruffle the feathers of the eagle at the other end of the pond to let it know that both of them are not to be trifled with individually and more so when they are in some sort of a pact. Of course nobody will expect they will merge and work seamlessly as one entity to counter anyone during a crisis but still something to keep the Pentagon sit up and pay particular attention with this type of drills. New pictures of the China's J-20 Mighty Dragon stealth fighter have surfaced and are making their way across military blogs. This newest round of photos show the J-20 in the skies somewhere over mainland China. The prototype is said to be using the Saturn AL-31 turbofan engine developed by the Russians for their Su-27 air superiority fighter. Reuben Johnson at The Washington Times reports the Chinese may be as much as 10 years away from producing an original stealth engine to slip into the J-20. In the meantime, they'll have to take comfort in the fact that while the F-22 Raptor may be more agile and made entirely in the U.S., the Dragon carries more fuel and weapons than Lockheed's fighter. The J-20's development is also moving along much faster than anyone had expected. Back in 2009, Gen. He Weirong, deputy commander of the People

Went to Eastern Dragon Rest just opposite KSL city for dinner with wife and son last week. Asked the waitress to reco some dishes. She mentioned fish head soup. My wife asked how much cos stated as seasonal price in menu. the waitress said will only know after cooked. so ordered it together with a chicken and veg dish. When the fish head soup came my wife again ask how much is the soup but was told the cashier will tell us. The food tasted not bad but the fish head soup is nothing really special. When the bill came, was suprised the fish head soup cost $78MYR. with a 10% ser charge its $85. Chicken was $24 and veg $22. Plain Rice $1.50 each and tea $7.50. Total $152 for three. With this price shd hv eaten in the many rest in KSL city. So which resturant be better for such price in KSL city?

This is not that "dragon" below but the movie that opens tomorrow. Have caught a sneak preview of the 3D version. Must say this movie will appeal to the child in us. However, I understand the 3D effects is not as much as Avatar. As for Alice in Wonderland, it will goes down well with adult than children. Personally I found this movie better than Avatar For those with kids, now GV is having Cartoon Sunday morning where the ticket is priced at $5.

Read in today New Paper and the Head Line read : S'pore towkay, 50, loves & loses $24,000/- to two China women. And it may be the start of a worrying trend involving "dragon ladies" from China that has hit elderly men in Malaysia. The trend, widely reported in MY, involves love-and-run affairs that leave old men with broken hearts and empty pockets. In Singapore, a check showed that there were more than 20 similar cases reported in the Chinese newspapers just this year. The Singapore businessman, however, claimed he was duped not once but twice. All in all, love cost him more than $24,000/- in just 16 months, including the cash he gave them as well as other expenses. Wanted to be known as Leon, told the New Paper that "I was lonely and craved companionship". He did not make any police reports as he admitted to giving the women money willingly. For full details of the story, you might want to refer to today edition of the New Paper. So beware, dragon lady is lurking everywhere for single men above 45. btw, I am in this category....oops

Have read so much on the following tyres: 1. KUMHO 712 2. BFG GFS 3. Yoko ES100 4. Pirelli Dragon 5. Bridgestone GR80 Just wanted to do a mini survey based on brothers experience here. In terms of dry grip, wet grip, cornering response/comfort, handling, which one wins in each category? Of course, price plays a part too :) Comments?
