Hi all If my mileage is 10k a year, is it better for me to stick to dino oil like Chevron Supreme and maintain an OCI of 5k every 6 months? My car servicing is every 6 months or 10k whichever comes first and my mileage suggests that using synthetic is quite wasteful. I have heard good reviews about Chevron Supreme. However there is so much hype about synthetics being better for the engine. Is it true? Is not synthetics just suppose to last longer than dino? I would greatly appreciate your comments and advice. Thanks in advance.

New Dino should be powered with all aluminum 4.2 liter 90 degree V8 outputting not very boring 480hp. This V-shaped powerplant will be mounted in front of the car, opposing to the mid-engine configuration in the classical supercar from late sixties and early seventies of the previous century. New supercar should make it first major public appearance at some international motor show in 2009. Ferrari plans to manufacture from 3.5 to 5 thousand cars per year that should begin competing with Porsche 911 Turbo and Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a price tag from 82 to 90 thousand Euros (about 109 to 120 thousand US Dollars) in 2010. It looks a lot like a Porsche doesn't it? Well, I guess since this Ferrari is positioned against Porsche 911s, they thought it wise to make it resemble their German counterparts.

Hi Dudes and Dudettes, Now anyone can dig out more info about this oil? Yup, it's been discussed before and they're more into other additives and stuff. But what the heck, it was cheap. I paid 18 bucks for 4 litres today. Did a search on BITOG forums but nothing much found on the oil. Just did a quickie pan drain and topped up with about 3.5 litres today with this oil. Nothing much I can describe qualitatively. Just hope that it's at worst a mediocre oil, not something wierd with wierd additives or strange vapours. Genie... where are you? *Rub Oil Lamp*
