  1. Old article but do you agree? https://www.quora.com/Which-citizenship-is-the-hardest-to-obtain/answer/Ravindra-357 Here are eight countries where it's most difficult to become citizen : 1- Vatican City You can become a citizen if you are a cardinal living in the Vatican City or Rome, or if you live in Vatican City because you are an official worker of the Catholic Church. 2- Bhutan You can apply for the citizenship after living in the country for 20 years & you have to meet a list of requirements which includes no record of speaking or acting against the king or country. 3- Qatar If you have been a legal resident of Qatar for 25 years without leaving the country for more than two consecutive months, you can apply for the citizenship. Qatar only naturalizes about 50 foreigners a year. 4- Kuwait After living in Kuwait for 20 years or 15 years for citizens of other Arab countries, you can apply for the citizenship. But you have to be muslim by birth or converted. If you are converted, you must have been practicing for five years & have to speak Arabic fluently. 5- Liechtenstein If you want to become a citizen, you have to live in Liechtenstein for at least 30 years or if you are married to a Liechtenstein citizen & already lived in the country, then the time period is shortened to five years of marriage. 6- United Arab Emirates If you want a citizenship of UAE, you must have legally resided in the country for 30 years. Arab citizens from Oman, Qatar & Bahrain can apply for citizenship after three years of residency. Arabs from other countries are eligible for citizenship after seven years of residency. 7- Switzerland According to the new law of Switzerland, you must have to lived in the country for 10 years & have a working permit called a C permit. The C permit allows you to live & work in the country. 8- China The law of China allows the foreigners to become citizen of the country if they have relatives who are Chinese national, have settled in China. If you don’t have Chinese relatives in a country, your chances of becoming a Chinese citizen are less. https://www.quora.com/Which-country-gives-permanent-residency-the-fastest/answer/Ravindra-357 Here are five countries in which establishing permanent residency is easy : 1 - Belgium If you live in Belgium for five continuous years, you can apply for permanent residency. Becoming a citizen adds to that the ability to leave the country for more than two years at a time 2 - France You can get permanent residency or apply for citizenship after living in the country for five continuous years. A permanent residency is renewed after ten years that allows you the right to education, healthcare, and worker's rights at jobs, but doesn't allow you to vote. Obtaining France’s citizenship also makes you a citizen of the EU. 3 - Panama Panama is also very welcoming to those who are wealthy and those who want to invest in deforestation programs. Citizenship can only be obtained after five continuous years of residency or three years for foreign spouses of Panamanian citizens. 4 - Singapore Singapore is one of the easiest countries in which a permanent residency has been estabilished. All you have to do is to apply for an employment pass, be the spouse or child of a Singapore citizen, plan to make an investment in the country, or you just have to be a permanent resident of the country for two or more years. 5 - Brazil If you plan to invest at least $50,000 in a business or real estate of the country, you can apply for an Investor’s Visa. Or you must have resided in the country continuously for 10 to 15 years for getting the permanent residency.
  2. Have tried a few workshops so far on my humble ride, and none have been up to the mark. Visited Autobacs Bukit Batok for the most recent services, and thought the relatively big player would cherish its name in the trade, and how wrong I was. The service package was supposed to include x number of checks on lighting, tyres, brake system, etc, etc. But the outcome was: a headlight has been spoilt for months but plainly missed out during the check, tyre pressue was not checked again (the second time with this workshop already). Returned to the workshop to highlight the negligence (or shall I say a con job as i paid for those checks, didn't I?), only to be offered bull**it excuses. Is it so hard to find a trustworthy workshop in Singapore? Where is professionalism and integrity? Or do you guys always stand by the mechanic while he performs the job?
  3. I notice to cut into the bus lane into Plaza Singapura where once I had turned from Buyong Road to Orchard Road especially passed by the Istana. Like not much distance to play in which that one is a Full Day Bus Lane.

  5. My friend, W, recently asked me for advice. One of his friends, X, was worried about his health recently as he suspected he contracted AIDS. Becos he played around before his recent marriage. Now X is unsure to go for testing or not as he is afraid of the positive outcome. W asked me what would I advice if I were him i.e. W? Obviously it is easy to ask X to go for testing or perhaps anonyomous testing but the key here is to put yourself in X's shoes? If the outcome is positive, X will face shame from family, friends & relatives. Worst of all, his wife may be infected as well or leave him... MCF Bros, what u think the advice should be?
  6. my boot is very difficult and heavy to lift. what do you think is the problem?
  7. Yesterday my wife asked why I didn't do something useful with my time. She suggested I go down to the senior center and hang out with the guys. I did this and, when I got home last night, I told her that I had joined a parachute club. She said, "Are you nuts? You're 69 years old and you're going to start jumping out of airplanes?" I proudly showed her that I even got a membership card. She read it & said to me, "You idiot, where are your glasses! This is membership to a Prostitute Club, not a Parachute Club!" Now I'm in trouble again and don't know what to do. I signed up for five jumps a week! Life as a senior citizen is not easy.
  8. No, It has nothing to do with her hair color....or not
  9. 1st Permutation... There are 4 Variants. Each Variant can either WIN or LOSE, for a total of 3 times. ... If a Variant WINS, the value MUST range from 2-3. If a Variant LOSES, the value MUST range from 0-1. The TOTAL number of WINS & LOSSES for all 4 Variants be add up to 6 WINS & 6 LOSSES. 2nd Permutation... Each Variant's TOTAL Value MUST range from 0-9. All 4 Variants MUST ADD up to 18. Each Variant's TOTAL Value can share the same number with another Variant. I'm looking for all POSSIBLE answers that will lead to either of the following... - A permutation that leads to 3 Variants having the same number - A permutation that leads to 2 Variants having the same number - A permutation that leads to 2 Variants having the same number, but their value is in between 2 other Variants' value. - A permutation that leads to 2 Variants having the same number, and their value is lesser than the other 2 Variants.
  10. A very brilliant and prominent thinker (the one on wheelchair, a scientist/maths genius) ever said: WOMEN!!! If he's right, how to understand a bit more? Hope on day someone can invent a scanner to scanner their brain and see exaxtly what's inside So far, my wife is quite predictable, but the first few years were quite 'trail n error' in terms of avoiding land mines
  11. Any idea how to figure this out using the primary school model method: There were 124 sausage and curry buns in a bakery. When 5/8 of the sausage buns and 4/7 of the curry buns were sold, the total number of sausage and curry buns left became 48. How many sausage buns were there at the bakery at first?
  12. Some work force insight:
  13. i went to alpine-asia.com/singapore and found Wo Kee Hong is distributor, then from there, its list of dealers. All dealers don't carry IDA-X305 stock. even though ida-x305 MSRP is US$350, websites from USA, AU, HK, etc put it at around US$220-250. That is about S$350. one dealer quote me ridiculous price, i can see he wants to make 42% profit. one dealer, even though listed as authorized dealer, quote me for an export set. I say eh?, I want warranty set, she say don't have. one dealer, call his supplier. cannot reach, so can't quote me. instead he push me his Kenwood and Sony. also stress that market wants cheap ($1xx, $2xx) 1DIN and expensive ($700 & up) 2DIN LCD (can play DVD kind), no one wants a not-cheap 1DIN HU. three or four dealers say dun carry stock, need to check with supplier for pricing. they never follow through. i am so tempted to call up Wo Kee Hong, and ask wth is going on.
  14. Hi Bros, Recently I have experienced as mentioned. I need to start the car twice or hold the key for ~5sec to get the car started when the engine is warm. Engine warm means from park the car and back to car after 1 to 2hrs of shopping. I am driving N.Sunny and my ride is ~3.5yrs old. Anybody can enlighten what wrong with my car ? Thanks
  15. Hi Bros, got a qn to ask with regards to AT gear shifting. recently i find it difficult to shift gears during moving off from P. I press brake, then shift from P to D. sometimes it feels abit hard to shift to D. Dunwan to forcefully push to D. So i usually let go brake again, then press brake again, shift to D. Sometimes ok, sometimes not. Sometimes gotta repeat few times. Is it a pre-cursor to a serious problem? Or izzit some minor taiji? Thanks bros for any advice!

  17. English is a difficult language...for some! hahahaha!!!!
  18. I have a friend who just bought a car and HE has been constantly asking me how to get here or there. I told him to get a street directory but he says he prefer to ask for directions. How come there are still people who don't know or don't want to use a street directory? Is it that difficult to read a map? I feel that driving tests should have a segment where drivers are asked to navigate from point A to point B within a set time.
  19. To those who drive there, do you find it difficult to find the place? Went there last weekend to recky-recky. I parked at JP1 carpark and then tried to find my way there. To my astonishment, there is not clear indicator at all at JP1 on how to go to JP2. Only sign I saw was "NTUC Xtra at level 3 JP2" and I was like, "yea, so where the hell is JP2?". Wanted to go to the info counter to ask but there was long queue to redeem free gift. So I didn't bother. Then went up and down at JP1 and still can't find the entance, bo chup, just went to the info counter to ask the staff and then they said it's right infront of the MRT entrance. WTF... Nevermind, so I went over to the entrance and true enough, it's damn obvious to those who come by MRT will definitely not miss the JP2 extension on the left hand side. So, it says 3rd level but there's only 2 level, here the hell is level 3? As it seems, there's only level 1 and then 3. Upon reaching the level of NTUC Xtra, the arrow sign that points to the place is "diagonal" and again I went to the wrong alley on the left. Finally I found that it was on the dark central cave-like entrance and the mart is on the left side. So damn hidden. I swear I'll never go there ever again... So damn pissed off.

  22. The lastest statement from the highest authority states that they still can't figure HOW MSK could have gotten outta of a tiolet!...this coming after MSK had remained at large for close to a month...and counting! Well, considering the 'complexity' of some designer tiolets we encounter nowadays, it comes as no surprise that if those who had GOLD TAPS, GOLD FIXTURES and MARBLE BATHS etc within their tiolets....would kinda just can't figure out WHY anyone would want to run away from such luxuries!! http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Singapore/Story/A1Story20080310-53591.html ://http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne...310-53591.html ://http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne...310-53591.html ://http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne...310-53591.html ://http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne...310-53591.html ://http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne...310-53591.html
  23. Just came back from Orchard. Finished my 大鸡排 from CK Tangs, and want to find a bin to throw. WTF, cant find a single bin outside DBS/UOB ATM. This is not the first time i encounter this bin-less. I happened to have a smoke break at Marina Square after dinner, then want to throw away the butt, but could not find a bin, so bo pian, litter bug i am. Walk near the electronic door, also cant find the bin, frustrated so throw near the glasses, i ensure no people see me do it. Government cannot blame me, as they are too protective against terrorist, and have removed 90% bins away from commercial building, and shopping malls. I am wandering if i am ganna caught for littering, is my reason valid for not able to find a bin. lol.
