  1. Hi guys, Thinking of upsizing from 205/55/16 to either 225/50/17 or 225/45/18 difference will be new tyre is 5% larger than original in terms of diameter. Has anyone upsized their tyres this way and how did it affect your car? My body kit is too low and my wheel gap is too large so instead of lowering it i am thinking make the wheel bigger to cover the gap and at the same time preserve the ride height so i may still enter MSCP. My wheel gap is 3 inch. my front kit to ground is 3 inch which is already scrapping every mscp in singapore.
  2. hello comrades, would appreciate some inputs here. thank you in advance. Tire Width vs Tire Diameter same size of rims with same tire tread design...which of the below will have a higher FC ? a) 245/50R19 = wider tires b) 235/55R19 = higher sidewall, bigger overall diameter. Speedo Deviation vs Total Distance Travelled. if with the above latter Oversize tires, the speedometer displacement is 5.6% from my stock tire configuration 225/60R17.....ie when my speedo reads 100kmh, my actual speed is 105.6kmh. from the below link, i found that most parameters had a deviation of 5.6% (diameter, circumference etc.) http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html now the question is.... if i use the Oversize tires, when my meter trip A for One Full Tank is 500km....does it also meant that the actual distance covered is 528km (plus the 5.6%) ? awaits your kind contribution.
  3. I saw a lot of Malaysia cars with very big exhaust Pipe diameter, can it increase engine power?
  4. eg running 215/40R17 instead of 205/45R17 (+2 from 185/65R15). Besides a slightly off speedo and odometer, I was told by a shop that it will affect the life span of the transmission and engine as a whole. They even go as far as to say that distrubutors are known to
  5. I am thinking of going for a 205/55 /15 from 195/60/15 which is abt 10-13mm smaller in overall diameter, how much will not speedo and tacho run?
