Just wanna share my experience with this air con company called Perfection Airconditioning & Engineering Pte Ltd. I have been using their service for quite some time and all along was all good. Not long ago I called the boss, named Low, to do chemical wash for my house air con, but he sent his staffs to do, in the end there was some minor problem, i didn't complaint to Low at all, I just asked him to come and resolve the problem as I thought he knows better. He came and checked my air con with his partner ( i think it's his partner as he always come with that guy, but i don't know his name). when Low was checking my air con, I heard the other guy spoke in chinese and made something like a complaint about a customer..I didn't know exactly what happened also and I don't like to busy body so I just ignored but I saw the attitude of the partner and I think it's not really nice. After checking my air con, Low told me, it's leaking but need to check where the leaking was, since it's already almost dusk, he top up the gas for me for free and told me to monitor it, if air con has problem again, just call him. I just follow what he said as I trust him. Few weeks later, my air con not cold, I called Low but kinda difficult to reach him. When finally reached him, I told him about the air con and he told me he was busy and must see his schedule 1st. I understand him so I just follow what he said. Then he asked his staff to come down to my place to check. The staff also told me that there's a leaking in the pipe, but need a lot of time to check. Better ask with his boss for the solution, they top up the gas again for free. I told them I will pay as I feel bad for them but they said no need. Fine..few days later, I called Low and asked him to resolve my air con problem. Also very difficult to reach him. when I managed to talk to him, he told me he need to check and arrange time to come down and will let me know. I again, just follow what he said as I trust him. Then recently I called him to ask him to come down to my office to check my air con as it has been leaking for quite some time, and also to follow up regarding my house aircon. He told me he needed to arrange his time 1st, see if he got come near my place or not, then he will drop by to check. Although it doesn't sound very nice to me, I still listen to him. I mean, I'm willing to pay for his service, not asking for free. Yesterday, I called him few times and text him, no reply or return call at all. I already felt very disappointed, and this morning I still try to call him and he (Low) didn't pick up and return my call, I fed up and text him. I didn't curse him, just tell him how disappointed I am with him. May be he thinks this is a small money so he put it later, I don't know. I have recommended him to so many people even in other forum. I don't know if got people use his service or not but I, as an old customer, felt extremely disappointed. We have known for so long, my office air cons were installed by them and I never bargained at all with his price. I never make any single complaint at all about his service. Soon after i texted him, he read it, and left no reply. I just texted him saying thanks for all your helps. For those who happens to find or recommended to this company, just take note. They may look nice and friendly, but don't judge the book by its cover.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwjN1Wbr4B4&feature=youtu.be Transit link bus 190 driver cuts into my lane aggressively, forces me to gently steer into the left lane and brake to a stop. video captured him showing a middle finger to me as I drove past. driver is indian race, please advise me on the channels to lodge a complain. Thank you. Incident happened at 3 30pm on Orchard Road on a weekday afternoon, traffic condition is light and smooth. I seriously got no idea why the bus is doing on the fourth lane and then have to cut through 3 lanes just to stop at the bus stop which is just after the traffic light. Is there a need for such impatient and reckless driving? Please advise or assist me with regards to the various authorities which I can file a proper complaint against this selfish public bus driver who does not give a damn to other road users' safety. I only tap my horn lightly. I do not think that this tapping of the horn warrants a middle finger from him. Driver was caught on video showing me the middle finger as I drove pass him.

Dear All, My name is Marcus. I would like to share my experience with MTE Garage(Bartley Biz Centre) and my journey in tuning my ride. I hope that my experience can allow any potential Volvo owners’ to evaluate the risk and adjust your expectation accordingly. There are lots of workshop and tuner that are respectable but there are those who are irresponsible as well. Likewise my experience do not necessary mean the same will happen to you. In a nutshell, my car was unsuitable for tuning and it cost a lot of problem to the extent of rendering it unusable before wearnes automotive (agent) solve it for me. There was huge gap between promise expectation and reality. I have attached all receipts and proof. 1. 01 July 2014 -Bought new 2013 Volvo S60 T5, 240hp, 320nm (no Drive E version) 2. 21 July 2014- Recommended by friend to MTE garage. Meet with owner Alex and discuss my expectations for my car. – To increase the drive response via tuning, upon recommendations, I was promised a custom tune with the following hardware upgrade which is necessary to complement the custom tune. I was promised an increase of 60+hp and 100+NM minimum. The verbal guarantee was that the hp will be over 300hp. My stock is 240hp. The upgrade bought was a. Ferrita DP/Catback exhaust- $3800 b. AEM methanol Kit- $1350 c. MTE custom Tune- $1350 d. Injen Short Ram (Full kit)- $1350 e. UR front strut bar- $190 f. Customised throttle hose- $160 Total: $8789 with gst 3. Turns out the Injen Air intake is incompatible with the car. The overflow of air cause the ECU to shut down the engine. Ended up with a DIY air filter which means I paid for something I cannot use and no refund was given. 4. Mid November- After waiting for 4 months after full payment, MTE arrange for shark performance from Uk to do a tuning trip in Singapore. Let me be upfront here, the tuning fail in the first round with sluggish performance because MTE accuses us for installing an aftermarket downpipe which affected the tuning. We replace back the original Ferrita DP and the tuning seems to work and we thought the tuning was completed. While the price was inclusive of a Dyno run verbally, none was arranged after a month. I was interested to know if the car exceeded 300hp as promised. Just to add, the tuning was done using the clipboard which open up the ECU and not a flash as per promised 5. 09 Jan 2015- despite repeated request for dyno with MTE, I was ignored. Paid for our own dyno run at monster tune and realised that the HP was a mere 248hp( only +8hp). To be fair the car did become more responsive with higher torque at lower RPM but the problems that ensued was not worth the improvement at all. I did not argue because such over promise by certain workshop is common in the business. 6. Problems: jan15 to may 15- Numerous check engine light, error codes but all resolved by a simple reset of error codes at agent 7. Problems: 3rd July error codes (unable to reset successfully) a. Reduced engine performance b. DSTC service c. Check Engine d. Multi Indicators light up e. Engine choking 8. Problems: 4 July- Car cannot start. Volvo replace fuel pressure. Collected car 9. Problems: 6th July – Car cannot start. All indicators light up again and return to agent, replace fuel injection pump 10. Problems: 11th August – Car cannot start. All indicators out again, choking engine, went back to Volvo, Volvo manage to reset code and diagnostic read “software incompatible with car” 11. Problems 15th August- Car cannot start. All indicators out again. Reloaded original ECU program 12. Problems 17th August Car stalled on road twice. Volvo mechanic while testing stalled again on the road. Volvo installed original air intake and did reset for the car. 13. 25th August- collected car, total spent $1592 over a few visit to Volvo. Whole fiasco including amount paid to MTE is around $10,701.00 and I bought only headaches To summarize, I was unlucky enough to be convinced that my car was tune ready and I spent $10k to bring myself a host of problems. I would like to share this experience with anybody who are thinking of tuning their Volvo. I will now be evaluating my recourse for this matter. Thank You MTE Receipt.pdf Volvo Receipt.pdf

interesting... Singapore most complaint car brand? Volkswagen still bugged by consumer complaints Christopher TanThe Straits TimesMonday, May 25, 2015 20150525_ST_volks.jpg 1 0 0 0 0 Print VOLKSWAGEN (VW) continues to have the dubious honour of hogging the pole position when it comes to customer complaints. Data from the consumer watchdog, Consumers Association of Singapore (Case), showed that the German brand garnered 12 new-car complaints from customers from January last year to the first four months of this year. The figure was more than double that of complaints made against BMW and Mercedes-Benz, which shared the second spot. The two brands had five complaints each for the same period. Comparing complaints measured as a ratio against new cars each of the three brands sold, VW's performance was even bleaker. It had 3.41 complaints for every 1,000 cars sold, versus 1.2 for BMW and 0.76 for Mercedes-Benz. VW fared worse than its previous record. Between January 2013 and April last year, it had 11 complaints, earning it the top spot on Case's list. The Straits Times understands most of the complaints pertain to glitchy gearboxes. Civil engineer Uttar Kumar, 52, who bought a VW Passat 1.4 in December 2012, was among those who filed a Case complaint this year. He said he did so after Volkswagen Singapore failed to resolve problems with the car's gearbox despite numerous attempts. He said he noticed the car made abnormal noises on the first day. The noises grew louder and the car became jerky. "It was in the workshop almost every two to three weeks," Mr Kumar recalled. The car, he said, is still not satisfactory, despite its clutch, a component of the gearbox that is used in changing gears, having been replaced in 2013. "It's still not smooth, it shakes when it starts, there is power loss and sometimes there is a grinding noise," he said. Volkswagen Singapore spokesman James Page dismissed claims that its cars were defective. For instance, he said two of the three complaints filed with Case in the first four months of this year were unfounded. "There was absolutely nothing wrong with the cars," he said. "The customers involved perceived there to be some faults, and requested a warranty extension and a car replacement respectively. We could not accede to their requests and they lodged complaints with Case." In the third case, the customer did have some genuine issues with his car, he said, and repairs were covered under the car's warranty. Volkswagen Singapore also extended the warranty by one year. "Nonetheless, he still made a complaint to Case," he said. Checks with independent service quality firm JD Power revealed that VW's ranking in other markets has not been sterling, either. In the United States, JD Power's 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study found VW had 165 problems per 100 cars - more than the industry average of 147. In Malaysia, the brand ranked last in the firm's 2014 Customer Service Index. Even in its home market Germany, VW ranked above average - but below brands such as Toyota, Mitsubishi and Skoda - in the 2014 Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study. My third thread on banks. Having problems with a bank here. Sent letter of complaint online and by post. Not even replies saying being dealt with after over a month. Then looking online and saw this complaint on a board: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/ocbc-bank-immoderate-ocbc-c723022.html BTW this is not my complaint and I do not know the person who made this complaint. Is there any way to be certain a complaint is dealt with because it seems to me all is marketing and no customer service or complaint procedure available. Speak to officers on phone they are completely clueless and have no script to follow as far as a complaint is concerned.

For fellow forumers looking for furniture shop the abovementioned is certainly one you want to stay away. Our nightmare begin when we made the purchase for dining chairs with cushions (chair not useable without cushions) in mid Jan to be delivered this week. After selecting the cushion color and wood stain color we proceeded to make full payment. Few hours later the sales person called to inform that theres additional charges for cushions of approximate 1/3 of the chair price which we must top up or else cancel transaction. Looking at my invoice w clearly states that it's chairs + cushions, of course I refused to top up nor cancel the transactions. Having being served by a round robin of shop staff our efforts to get the order fulfilled were in vain. Most disappointedly a personal call to John Erdos himself had him siding his staff part of story that there wasn't anything amiss, a top up is required and no refund will be entertained. A staff who chose to remain anonymous said that this approach is consistent with past incidents. Past the delivery date, I still have not received what I paid for. I have lodged a police report and wld be seeking small claim tribunal intervention. Needless to say I personally condemns and blacklist it. Anyone has similar bad experience with this vendor or suggestion pls share.

Had my newborn there and have a unpleasant experience yesterday. Went there to bring my wife and baby back yesterday ( 2 Nov '12 ). As usual, carpark was crowded and have to opt for valet parking. Left instruction my car was keyless entry with push start. Wanted to explain how it works..the guys just brush it off no problem. Since its the 2nd time i use their service, i believe they may have experience. Called back an hour later say steering wheel locked. ( i had a tiny tweak on the key system ). No problem, i went down thinking since its my fault for not explaining well. To my horror. I say my beige car seat (bottom) stained with pen inks and tear. Quickly moved the car away as i was blocking someone's car. Request to talked to the manager (Its a malay guy). Came, took a look at my car.. says cannot be left by them. Many mistakes. 1) Told me all their guys dont put their pen behind their buttocks. (Then proceed to explain to me even if pen put behind also wont write on the seat. I told him i very confirmed no markings before that. 2) I said fine, if you prove to me all your drivers pocket got no holes( since all their drivers wearing jeans, without holes in their pocket, it will be true that the pen wont write)..i apologise to you. I treat it as my mistake. He laugh it out says fine, you go check lor. 3)Told me only got 2 drivers, one malay and 1 chinese. I checked the malay driver and politely apologised. Then checked the chinese guy. True enough, there was hole on his pocket. The manager saw it and told me again blah blah cannot be lar. Now very angry, i saw the pen that the driver was holding, Told him i go write on my seat now, if its the same ink, what you going to say. Again, he laugh it off saying not possible. 4) Went there, i really wrote on my seat. Proved to him, he again say any pen can do this, i told him you still want to deny, why not i send it to foresenic and check? 5) Gave me the WTF look, ask me go polish come back claim from him. I asked him, are you going to acknowledge the mistake, he still die die say i trying to fleece him off and this was not the first time someone trying to fleece him. Tell me he himself driving a wrx( as if i care) and he very confirm leaving a pen on the buttocks wont draw on the seat. i told him why not we put a penknife on the pocket see if it cuts the seats when sitting down. He still show me the angleof the buttocks when sitting down, wont happen one lar. (His pocket is those very low type ) Decided to walk away. no point argueing. I am going to Thomson medical and stomp this. Actually, wont be so piss if he acknowlege the mistake and we move on from here, ( i believe i should be able to remove the stains, minus the small cut. ) What pisses me is i already showed him so many evidence and he still says i going to fleece him off.

Another parking complaint case: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...arpark_lot.html Please remember that carpark lots do not belong to anyone in particular but are communal spaces used on a first-come-first-served basis, says STOMPer Pissed Off Neighbour, who was shocked to find this note on the windscreen of his visitor's car. The person who left the note there is a foreign expatriate living next door to the STOMPer. In an open-letter to the woman who wrote the note, the sender says: "Dear Mrs Richards, "We live in a tiny island of five million people. Yes, this tiny little island that you can barely see on a map has a whopping five million people. "Living with this many people in a tiny space can get to us, but do practice a little tact and social grace. "If you have something to say (not shout, say), do knock on my door and talk (not shout, talk) to me. "I only live next door. "And by the way, parking your car in an open communal space does not make it 1) a parking space and 2) your parking space for that matter. "You accuse us of breaking 'conventions' and yet you were the first one to do so, by sticking this note on the windscreen of my guest's car. "I am not sure what is is like where you come from but it is not how we do things in Singapore. "I see your last decade in our country has taught you nothing. Go home, we don't want you here".

Well, just need to vent this out here. I'm a nice person who will at times give friends a lift even though it's not all that "on the way". Sometimes, I even initiate to send them home be it colleagues or friends. Well, the problem is there are people who will not appreciate this and make this their convenience instead of mine. Like for example... I am about to go home, so ask my colleague casually if he need a lift since he stays quite near me but not really on the way. He says ok, so gave him about 15mins to get ready. 15mins I already in the car, engine on, air-con cooled, drove out to the pick-up point and still dun see him. Then wait a further 10mins, still don't see him... I simply drove off without informing him. And of course, kenna sms from him saying if i wanna go off should have inform him. This is just a one off event, but there are similar incidents with other friends as well. Like ask to pick friend up below his block, but wait like 10mins liao still dun see him. These are the kinda things i will get pissed off. Worst is pick up at bus stop, go to bus stop friend haven't even there. Then there are people who will set a meeting point to their convenience instead of a efficient pick-up/drop-off point. Like have to make several turns that kind. I have learnt to advise my friends since... "don't let the car wait for you, you wait for the car."

This evening, on my homeward journey, traffic along CTE (SLE) was rather heavy but still moving. As I was approaching the exit to PIE (Changi Airport), a long line of vehicles had already formed. Thus, I had no choice but to cut in. I decelerated and signalled my intention to join the queue. I saw a gap between two vehicles, slightly more than a car's length. Assuming that the car behind would allow me to do so, because if I were in his situation, I would definitely give way, I proceeded to join the queue in front of this Honda Civic. Guess what. This driver accelerated, swerved onto the road shoulder and overtook me. Given the tight space between lane 4 and the road shoulder, his vehicle was too close for my comfort while he was trying to overtake my puny Picanto. Out of frustration, and partly because I was pissed that he gave me a fright by his stunt, I blared my horn and displayed my middle finger (yes, I know, I shouldn't have done it). He retaliated by tapping his brake, which caused me to slam my brake in turn. Luckily, the car behind me, driven by a middle-age lady, I think, was quite a distance from my rear. I shuddered to think if she had not. Looking back at the incident, I was disappointed at myself for being so puerile. I am way past the age of a hot-blooded young man (hint: I no longer have to go for reservist) and yet I displayed such uncouth behaviour. With nearly ten years of driving experience (because, I obtained my licence late), I have already encountered several kinds of fxxk-up drivers. By comparison, this Honda joker is considered mild. Also, my reaction (blaring the horn and flipping the bird) was totally uncalled for; they would only antagonise the other party. With more introspection, I guess I should thank this Honda driver for showing me something that I found out about myself today. One, I really have to work on my temper. All along, I have this mistaken notion that I had done a good job keeping it in check. Guess, there's more to be done. Two, I should really kick this bad habit of hitting the horn whenever I'm frustrated. Three, as for my middle finger, I should keep it wrapped around the steering wheel when I'm driving. Hmm.... I'm feeling much better, now that I have verbally unloaded my feelings. For those who took the time to read, thank you. That's all, folks. Have a nice weekend!

Wan to sian char bo from Facebook, and involve NIE and all, wat a loser Basically, SELF-PWNED! http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/si...t.jsp?id=63441 Teacher-to-be and bf order drinks at bar, leaves and gives us the bill! Is this what our future educators are going to be, wonders a STOMPer, who was so furious that this happened that he lodged a police report. The STOMPer had attached the reports to his email to STOMP about the incident, which allegedly took place on Feb 28 this year, where he met up with a friend he made via Facebook, and was made to pick up the tab after his 'friend' disappeared. He said, in his police report: "I was at the Long Bar on Feb 28 and had a drink with Y, together with four of her friends whom I have not met before. "There were three males and two females." According to the STOMPer, there already were several drinks on the table which his friend's party ordered before his arrival. The bill, he said, came up to $213.05. He added that he had no idea who ordered the drinks, and said the group was there chatting. "After 20 minutes two of the girls left. They claimed they wanted to go to the toilet. After five minutes I went outside the pub to answer a call. "When I returned I only saw a guy, who I believe is Y's boyfriend. The other two males had gone to grab some food. After a while, the guy left and claimed that he had a call. "As such, I messaged Y asking where she was and she said she was at East Shore Hospital as her friend was unwell. "I waited for about half an hour but no one came back. I then met up with the management to settle the payment. Y claims that one of her male friends is a regular customer of the pub but when I checked with the staff, they said they had no idea who these are. "I tried to call Y several times but to no avail." The STOMPer told STOMP he had contacted the NIE about this issue, and added: "This the future of our future educators? We have already informed NIE and told them we will be exposing Y in the media if it's our last resort. "I appreciate the fact that they have contacted her to advise her to settle this matter ASAP, but I'm sure there's more they can do. Afterall, this concerns the reputation of NIE and our future educators, no less."

Dear all, Had an accident 3 weeks back, and thinking back at this very very minor accident makes me wonder just how law firms and workshops takes advantages of accidents to "inflat" their own pockets. Here it goes, I was driving back to office that afternoon... Legs rather tired, and the carpark was full, even though I am a season parking holder, but darn, the "for season" parking entrance was sealed that day becoz of some events at the road then. So I LL, entered the CBD, and turned into the carpark behind the hoards of cars. Dunno why when I overcame the hump, my legs weakened, and sharks I could not jam my brakes and hit the car in front of me. I should say "kiss", not a big accident. And so we both entered the carpark and check the damages.. His car looks fine, just the reverse censor spoilt. Bumper, looks fine, maybe a little cracks inside. U know, just a kiss how can big can the crack be... Anyway exchanged no, agreeded that he should send to his workshop to access the damages, see if claim insurance or pay direct. The next day came, and we went to his workshop at a shop in Xin Min... The shock came, the so called damages, as quoted by the workshop owner was wow, $1,400.... so little damage and cost so much. I remember my friend last time same case, only need to repair for $500.... So LL, ask him to claim my insurance lor. Then yest, haha, I got the lawyer letter, Radny Wong (the law firm) where they also sent one to my insurance company as well. WOW, the claims now inflat to $5.5k... 6 days of no car use, cost $180- daily... Imagine the 1.4k now become 3k in repair cost.. And he had the cheek to state in the letter, original quote 3.5k, discount if agreement to settle immediately for 3k.. Lots of bull-locks.. Anyway my NCD is 10%.. I know I will lose that and I m paying yearly insurance premiums at 1.2k, Dunno how much my premium gonna increase next time to.. Just felt that these type of workshops are totally unethical....

do u believe such rich pple exist?? sorry my england is lousy On 3rd July 2008, at 8.40pm, i was at Shell Thomson ( Beside Long House Food Centre) pumping full tank for my vehicle. The mechanical parts for the pump was faulty and petrol flowed out of my tank. This caused a great shock and i quickly had to stop the petrol from running. I quicky informed the counter staff on duty. Her name is " IDA". I told her the pump is faulty and why is there no signage put up to inform patrons about it. I was Astonished and Deeply angered by her reply. She said : " Not much petrol is being wasted what. 2L of petrol only." And she told me ITS MY FAULT THAT IT OVERFLOWED because i pumped myself and i didnt know how to operate it. Is she kidding me? I had pumped shell since 7 years ago. Nothing of sort had happened to me and i had great experience with Shell which makes me Stayed on only to SHELL and no other companies. So is 2L of Petrol not important and we could waste it or is she so highly paid which she could close one eye on the wastage. Does Shell taught her such reply? I think Shell should do something about it. After all her reply she did not even dare to look at me in the eyes. Guilty? I hope Shell gives me a satisfactory solution/ answer for this. Best Regards,
