You might disagree with her, but you’ll be hard pressed to find much evidence against her case. What happened? Content creator and entrepreneur Wendi Chan, better known as @pinkkittywendi has been stirring the pot by making the bold but likely true statement that Singaporeans are the worst drivers and/or the most inconsiderate drivers in the world. If you are angered at the above statement, I present to you all our existing articles. And SGRV. She uses the example of how when trying to enter another lane in the event that someone has stopped in front of you, Singaporean drivers are more likely to speed up and close the gap instead of graciously letting you in. To support this, she mentions how in other countries there is no such behaviour, that it is "common courtesy" to let the person signalling come into the lane. Wendi also gave her own experience of another driver giving a “very rude sign” when she attempted to turn into the lane. No further elaboration on the sign but I’m sure we can all guess what it was. She ends off the video with her confusion on this behaviour, “I just don’t get it, what is that five seconds you can lose coming in and probably going out again because there was a vehicle stuck there? It’s just frustrating.” Online chatter Almost unanimous agreement. But as always, there are outliers. What do you think about Singaporean drivers? ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. So as my title suggested, would you rather be surrounded by people who brag all the time or by people who complain all the time? Personally, I think I cannot stand bragging more than complaints.

NO IT IS NOT ABOUT THE GRILLES... So I drive an older model BMW, the old NBT evo era. Very dinosaur compared to the Audi virtual dash generation which already a few years old. Pics of the new 1/3 etc interior look much better leh. Kaypoh, went down to PML, near the entrance are the cheaper 1/2 series. Sat inside, like much nicer than my little car. But wait... Whaddafug, they changed the 8 individual memory buttons into ONE SINGLE piece. When press the whole long strip moves, feel so cheapo. TMD must be base model cost savings, surely the 3 not like dis. Go to the 3, walan eh, still 1 piece, even the drive mode select is now 1 single piece trying to look like 3 instead of individual or rocker style button. Press liao feel so cheapo. TMD, leave the peasant section go 2nd floor for the higher bracket models surely better hor. Go 2nd floor, ignore the M135 walk straight to 8 series. Whaddafug, its the exact same piece from the 1 series. And the cubby hole cover, is really taobao plastic quality. This penny pinching cost saving culture is really spoiling the whole 'premium car' experience.

I'm sure everybody has encountered headscratching situations in the workspace. Be it from colleagues or clients, some of them make you wanna vomit blood. Let's share our stories! - Client: The artwork colour needs to be exactly the same as our core product. Me: Sure, just let my designer know your Pantone/CMYK/RGB code when you sent the requirements over. *2 weeks later, designer crying. Client has been scolding them for incompetence and "blindness", and just arrived unannounced in the office* Client: YOUR DESIGNER ALL BLIND OR STUPID? I SAID MUST BE SAME COLOUR! I MUST HAVE SAID THIS AT LEAST 10,000 TIMES! Me: Designer, you guys didn't follow brief? Forward it to me I check. Sorry client, gimme 5 mins. Client: *angry face* *I check and there's no problem at all. Followed brief down to the last fullstop* Me: Miss Client, as you can see here, its the same colour code in your brief, and.. *CLIENT EXPLODES, CUTS ME OFF AND STARTS SHOUTING DAMN LOUDLY* Client: What's wrong with all of you! Even you at your level don't understand simple English! *Whips out her laptop to open the artwork* Client: Can you see how different it is!? Look, your laptop, her PC and mine all different colour! *Whips out actual product and aggressively slams it against all the screens* Client: And NONE of them matches my real product!!!!!!! At this point, COO came into my room to ask what's going on since he's next door and can hear everything. He discovers that the client doesn't understand how different machines show colours differently, and that "real" colour on a screen doesn't mean "real" colour produced. He literally threw her out of the office and broke their contract. - Colleague A: You want some bacon? I bring back from Australia. I put some in the oven for you, later try okay? Colleague B: Err... but I'm vegetarian you know right. Colleague A: Oh, I thought you ony cannot eat meat in Singapore. Then how about this kangaroo jerky? Its not beef. *facepalm* Note: Clients From Hell is a real website founded in 2009.

just wanted to share my bad experience with the Touch n go service office (at Jalan Lingkaran Dalam) this morning... Situation: I had a touch and go card that was purchased many many years ago.... with reduced amount of balance in card, so need to do a top up.... Process / procedure : Used to do top up at the woodlands checkpoint (malaysia customs) , but they have discontinued and told us to go to any shell station to do top up I had to drive to nearest JB shell station to do top up, but was told that the card expired... so need to go nearest Touch n Go office to renew or top up Experience when my wife reaches there (Touch n go ), the staff (claimed her name is farah) was very rude and made things difficult and insist the registered card owner must be present ... so she had to ask me to go in when I went in, the staff ask some silly questions on the card... such as how much we normally top up and where do we top up (like they are collecting data for a customer expenditure survey).... we gave the information and told her al these should be available in their system The staff was unhappy and tried to be more difficult by asking the next ridiculous question, .. asked if we had use this touch n go to pay car park... My answer is I pay almost all my carpark fees through cash ... my recollection is i use this card as per the original intent which is meant for toll fee and customs payment and I don't use this card or even associate this card for any car park payment.... she turned around and said.. okay then data mismatch... validation failed... you need to go register again Her logic seemed like... one could be using the card for a 1000 or million times for toll payment but if there is 1 car park payment (dunno where/when) and you are unable to tell me there is , then this is treated as data unable to be validated wow... I have not chanced upon a more sophisticated data processing intelligent brain or organisation that develop such a system of inflexibility or obstipation .. i was shocked.... what sort fo data is mismatched? i asked, i am the owner of the card.... with a long span of the years using the card... who can recalled every small transactions throughout the years and if 1 data is not matched, the staff conclude that it is data mismatched?.... .. and this is all happening just to be able to top up a cashcard My Aftershocked experience firstly, the staff is unprofessional......just applying her personal biasness and discriminate against individuals and decision is based on her whims and fancy... secondly, the so called validation data process is a joke..... who can remember every steps /amount the card has been top up... just a general answer aligned with what she wants to hear is considered validated... and another general answer not aligned to what she wants to hear is invalidated there is also no consistency in the validation process... if validation is needed for a top up cashcard (not sure it is needed, overkill), then please do it properly with consistency and had a good basis for the answers (establish how certain slight deviations are acceptable) for example she ask what was top up, we answer vaguely like RM 100-200.... but actually there were other higher or lower denominations as well... but she can accept those as validated.. when she asked if the card is use for paying carpark... I told her, so far, my recollection is mainly for road toll tee and the VEP customs payment as its original intend, many carparks that i go to doesn't have this touch n go payment option ... i pay cash for those... yes ..many car parks have since implemented to accept touch and go, doesn't means i have changed my way of paying carpark.. maybe a single occurrence or so With the system data in front of her, she should be able to look at the overall data .. perhaps 99.9% of times, I am paying as tolling fee and maybe 0.1% of the total is used to pay carpark such as a particular instance... if so, what is the basis of saying the data is invalid then there is another staff (presuming the office manager or the manager in charge), he warned me to stop recording the whole episode and also wanted to stop me from taking a photo of the Touch n go's Refund Notice printout where it has office contact number for me to write to complaint. He also asked the to delete the video Again ridiculous request, I asked where in that office was it stated we are not allow to take video and why is is not allow to take a photo of the contact information of that notice for me to send my complaint to ? anyway those are the proof of how bad service provider they are ... deletion would be a waste Looking back, the validation process redundant and irrelevant... might as well ask everyone to register new one and not waste time talking to bunch of crowns I don't know what else to say... the company should consider replacing those unprofessional staff or improve the process or leave it as it is (which will be probably what they will do)

Woman Poisons Dozens at Housewarming Party Trying to Kill Family Who Made Fun of Her Cooking A 23-year-old woman from Khalapur, India, is risking the death penalty for poisoning the food at a relative’s housewarming party in an attempt to kill attendees who made fun of her dark completion and cooking skills. Police in Khalapur claim that 23-year-old Pradnya Survase confessed to mixing snake poison into the dal served to some of the guests at a feast hosted by one of her relatives. She was trying to kill her husband and some of her in-laws, who she says had been mocking her dark skin and cooking skills for years. Unfortunately, poison doesn’t discriminate, and her assassination attempt put 88 people in the hospital, five of whom eventually lost their lives. “Pradnya claims that since her marriage two years ago, she has been insulted regularly for her dark complexion and accused of not being able to cook well,” said senior police inspector Vishwajeet Kaingade. “She has named her mother in-law, Sindhu Survase, husband Suresh Govind Survase, sisters in-law Ujwala Pawar and Jyoti Ashok Kadam, and her mother in-law’s sister Sarita Mane and Sarita’s husband, Subhash Mane for the alleged torture.” So when the young woman was asked to serve food at a housewarming party hosted by her mother in-law’s sister, she knew that all her abusive relatives would be among the 120 expected guests. She brought the snake poison with her to the feast, but didn’t get a chance to mix it into the dal before most of those she wanted to poison got a chance to eat. However, later in the day, the host, Sarita Mane along with Jyoti Kadam and Ulka Shinde’s kids sat down to eat and she decided to poison them instead A few hours after eating the food, people started complaining of nausea, vomiting and stomach ache. Three children, including Shinde’s son Rishikesh, died soon after being hospitalized, and a three days later another child and a 53-year-old guest also succumbed to the snake poison. Ironically, Pradnya Survase didn’t manage to kill any of the people she originally targeted. The 23-year-old confessed her crime after police started questioning those who served the food at the party. The maximum punishment she faces for her crime is the death penalty.

Saw today new paper on the residents complaining about HDB building BTO beside their Ang Mo Kio DBSS flats. One say there is a school around how to ensure safety of the children during construction? One say the dust and noise will affect their environment. One say the area there is very crowded after the BTO, how to make sure enough amenities for the resident there. One say should at least wait for 5 years later (MOP) so the DBSS resident can have a choice to move out. I think they just wanna say, the BTO will affect their DBSS price lar. Just be frank lar! [laugh]

http://news.insing.com/tabloid/slammed-giv...oor/id-4c5a3f00 A woman, who has been cooking food for the needy, has been criticised online, with one netizen even calling for her arrest. During the negotiation period, they said will increase her salary by 20% upon confirmation but when the time come they nitpicked on her to justify for not increasing her salary. Nevermind, she stayed on. However, today, zhun zhun last day of July, they fired her on the spot, saying that she violated the work contract by disclosing her salary to other members. Wah, win liao.... Just one or 2 weeks back, they just confirmed her. I suspect that they intend to fire her all along. Just want to wait till last day of the month. The confirmation is just kay kay one. I don't think she should stay on in this shxtty company in any case but is there a redress she can seek? She is on S-pass. thanks...

Today is annoying. I nearly hit a stranger... labelled A. I signalled right.... and going at around 60+km/hr. Person A wanted to jaywalk and happily assumed that I would stay in my lane, not knowing that I intend to filter right to enter a shopping centre carpark. HE walked into the right lane, just as i was filtering right (with signal on) it was a close shave as i have to swerve. i horned very loudly at him. This is Zion road, with 5 big lanes. and the shopping centre is Great World City. I nearly killed someone on NYE Happy New Year everyone!

This dumbo already ate it once and found it tasted ordinary. Yet he went back to get chop carrot head a second time. When STOMPer chickwn rice dined at a hotel restaurant recently, he was shocked when the bill came to $35 for a plate of chicken rice and a drink. They told him the price was due to 'overwhelming response', said the STOMPer. The STOMPer elaborates (Sep 16): "What a rip off. "$35 dollars for a plate of chicken rice? Too expensive? Plus an iced lemon tea? God... "I ate this at Chatterbox, Mandarin Hotel recently. "It cost me $35, GST included. "In June, I also had it, and it cost me $17.50. "According to the restaurant, the price increase was due to the overwhelming response and demand for the chicken rice. "In November last year when I had it, it was also below $20. "It tasted like ordinary chicken rice. "Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the receipt."

Came across a thread here that points to a URL that allows us to complain about things like illegal parking, excessive engine noise at night, etc, etc but lost the address. Tried searching but couldn't find it either. Anybody knows the URL to the complain site or the thread that was posted some time back here?

We live in stressful society in which we are often trying to show off that we are better than the next guy, or blaming someone else for our troubles, we get upset over the smallest of things which just makes our lives more screwed up than it actually is. This guy doesnt complain despite his shortcomings and we should all learn to make full use of our blessings and stop complaining
