For the past five years, I have being using wireless to surf internet in my home. All my laptops, ipads, desktop computer are able to wirelessly link up to my router to connect to the internet. One week ago my work horse desktop computer conked out, smoke coming out. This old slim line, with slot in DVD drive, Acer computer was running on vista. It has built in wireless network, similar to laptops, there is no visible external antenne. I made a big mistake today, in buying a new desktop computer that did not come with a built in wireless network. Acer, model ASX1900. As it was on promotion at challenger for just $599. I spent the whole day trying to figure out where the fark is the wireless network and how to turn it on to connect to my wireless router. Only after trying for five hours, doing reseqrch on the internet, then i realised that this computer does not come with wireless network, it comes only with a base-T Lan network. Another fark....this particular model ASX1900 is like very rare and only few website got review. Somemore my core duo is outdated E5700, while the website all reviews newer ASX1900 with newer e6600 processors. Blardy hell....l always thought nowadays computers sure come with wireless network capability. All laptops got wireless built in, so i assume wireless is standard in all computers nowadays!! Why desktop got standard wireless built in? Anyone tell me which model of desktop on the market has the built in wireless capability, at reasonable price? Tomorrow i am going to get a USB wireless network adaptor.....haiz......stupid me...Ass U Me!!

Nov 17, 2010 ASIAN GAMES IN GUANGZHOU GUANGZHOU - BIKINI-WEARING Asian Games beach volleyball cheer squads are proving too hot for some competitors who claim the scantily-clad dancers make it impossible to concentrate. 'They had an effect on how we played,' Yemen beach volleyballer Adeeb Mahfoudh told the Tianfu Morning News on Wednesday. 'I think they had something to do with our losing the match.' The Yemeni men's team lost their Tuesday clash to an apparently more focused team from Indonesia, the paper said. Organisers of the Guangzhou Asian Games have hired four cheerleader squads, each made up of eight girls in swimsuits, to entertain fans during breaks in the beach volleyball action, said the newspaper. Besides cheering on the already capacity crowds, the girls also perform routines that include traditional Chinese elements including martial arts and fan dancing. 'These girls are very beautiful. With them here, more people will pay attention to beach volleyball,' smiled Mahfoudh. -- AFP http://sports.163.com/10/1111/16/6L7JSFNP00051CAQ_3.html http://bbs.hoopchina.com/simple/1696445.html

Customise housing for 4 inch focal 100kp comp speakers
Newkid posted a topic in In-Car-Entertainment
hi folks, need help on where i can customise housing for my 4 inch mid rage speakers to be mounted on the dashboard. thanks in advance -
Looks like some of you out there are familiar with getting individual components separately in a front component set, and either running it active or with your existing passive crossover facilities. Could someone help start me off - what are some brands and models to look out for? In terms of cost, do you think you can achieve the same quality (i suppose we're all looking for high quality) of sound from commercial sets at a lower price, or it probably would end up higher? Buying individually skips paying for the passive cross, so I suppose there are small savings in this department? But the downside is if u're running passive, ur cross has to tailor to the speaker characteristics, so that means spending $ again. Do you think there are differences in fundamental design of home drivers compared to car drivers? the dispersion characteristics etc, the way they design for close-up listening in a car as compared to sitting a few metres away in a home? I've heard prices of a good-sounding 3-way system, I believe it might be Dynaudio, going for something like $1300-1400. I wonder if assembling a set myself would cost so much for a similar sound ...

Hi to All! Anyone can offer any advice and feedback on the Boston Acoustics Pro Series 6.5 Comp. speakers? I had tried a few speakers at autobacs and it seems that the Boston Pro Series sound better than the CDT CL and ES series, and also the Infinity Kappa series. Anyone got any experiences with these speakers? Thanks!
