wondering why not to have the car colour as one of the search options in sgcarmart. makes it easier if one is looking for particular colours. the log card already has the car colour input.
-
In your opinion, what is the best colour for a new car and why? 🤔 Also, what colours should I avoid when looking to get a new car?

https://www.motor1.com/news/431811/mercedes-offers-competitor-paint-jobs/ The Mercedes-Benz Designo customization program has been a big hit since the company made it official in 2015. This year alone, Mercedes saw demand for its made-to-order options increase by nearly 200 percent. But while once limited to the G-Class exclusively, now buyers of Mercedes-Benz models like the E-Class, S-Class, and AMG GT two-door models can take advantage of the custom offerings part of Designo Manufaktur program. And today, that portfolio expands even further. Now Benz buyers can dig through the Mercedes history books and select from either recently retired paint jobs or classic paint options from historic models dating as far back as the 1950s and 1960s, as well as colors available on other models. Those so bold can even request paint from other manufacturers (depending on availability). That's right, you could theoretically drive off in an AMG GT R wearing Dodge's Plum Crazy or an S63 in Lexus' sharp Nori Green Pearl. Mercedes-Benz previewed that expanded color palette with two very pretty customized vehicles: the AMG S63 Cabriolet and the E63 S Wagon (both pictured above). The droptop wears a Designo Manufaktur Deep Green from the Mercedes-Benz heritage portfolio, while the wagon wears a Designo Manufaktur Steel Blue, once reserved for the Sprinter van. And the endless customization opportunities continue inside. Buyers can select from prior Mercedes-Benz Designo leather colors, custom headliners, and available contrast stitching and two-tone combinations. In the Maybach models specifically, the company says it can cover virtually every surface in the custom leather of your choosing. The S63 Cabriolet pictured here wears a Light Brown Exclusive Nappa leather, while the E63 S gets a unique AMG Black Exclusive Nappa leather with white contrast stitching. The iconic G-Class also gets some extra goodies as part of the Designo G Manufaktur customization program. The company now offers 34 exterior colors and 54 unique interior upholsteries for the G, which means more than a million possible combinations. As far as price, Mercedes-Benz doesn't list anything official for its Designo Manufaktur options. But assume that if you want an S-Class in something other than the standard factory hue and leather, you will have to pay extra.

Are there any blue coloured cars on the road? Seems like a weird question but hang on. I was looking at cars when I realised there are no blue coloured cars available. There are metallic blue, sporty blue, nocturna but no plain blue colour. Same for other colours. Wonder why is that so. Sales tactic? Metallic sporty blue sounds more atas than blue? Or protect intellectual property rights (seems Honda colour codes cannot be found in hyundai colour codes)? So anyone ever seen a blue coloured car on the road with the colour description as "blue" with nothing else?

I just recently bought a resale car. The exterior is white in color, log card stated primary is white color. However, when I send to repair, the mechanic open up the side mirror and realise the original color should be red. The interior of side mirror casing is red, one part of the the side mirror (after dismantle) is also partially red. Can the primary colour be changed after respray? Will I able to find out what is the original colour of the car? Thank you!

why the price so different? thanks! my new purchase is a black lexus, but i'm thinking of respraying it into the lexus dark grey mica.

It's no longer a secret that car modifications are something favoured by plenty of car owners out there. In fact, some even feel proud if they are able to modify their car and give it a cooler look than any other cars out there. This is also felt by Kelvin, a young man from Bandung, Indonesia. Kelvin is an owner of a Toyota Ist, a hatchback from Japanese automaker Toyota. At first, Kelvin wasn't really a modification enthusiast and he was only used to dressing up his car a little. Nevertheless, living among several extreme car modification enthusiasts, he was eventually plagued by the car modification virus as well. As a result, his dressed up Toyota Ist changed completely. The first thing that came to his mind was how his car could catch the eyes of passer bys. For this, he chose a candy gold paint. According to Kelvin, not only can this colour catch people's eyes, it also has a high artistic value. It took two months for the Signal Kustom modification house to paint the car completely and, quite perfectly, too. The result was indeed eyecatching. However, a nice body paint wouldn't be complete if not accompanied by nice body kits as well. Therefore, Kelvin decided that he would use a VeilSide product and finally chose one that's actually meant for use with the Nissan 350Z Fairlady. As you can tell, the installation of this body kit required a lot of work due to the different curves and dimensions on the car from those of the Fairlady. Things got even trickier when Kelvin demanded that the body kits should be easily detachable. Unfortunately, not all parts of the car, such as the bumpers, could be made so. Kelvin's demand for the detachable body kits could only be applied on the front spoiler, front/rear fenders, side skirts, and the engine hood which featured air vents on the centre and the sides of it. The next thing to pay attention to was the rims. To match the bloating fenders, Kelvin had to use 8.5" rims (front) and 10" rims (rear). For the design and appearance of the rims to look attractive, Kelvin decided that he would use six-spoke rims painted in gold, too, just like the body of the car, surrounded by a chrome accent. For the interior, Kelvin only applied minor modifications. He modified the audio and applied leather material to the seats. Unfortunately, though, all the modifications seem useless in the end. You can say it was nothing but wasting money. For your information, though, Kelvin's Toyota Ist did win several trophies. Costing Rp150 million in total, the Ist was reverted to its original look with only minor modifications just within a month after the makeover was completed. We don't think it's worth the hard work and the total cost incurred in modifying his car. What do you think? Photo credit: Kompas Otomotif

Hi, I observed the some cars have different colours like full black at front/rear and others with the white at front and yellow at rear. I refer to the private cars and non commercial cars. I am not referring to Off Peak Car with red plates. What are the reasons for this difference? Distinction from Authorized Distributor and Parallel Import? Thank you.

All car owners reckon that one of the worst things that could happen when they park their cars in an open-air car park is to find bird droppings on their car. If these droppings are not cleaned immediately, they could damage the car's body paint and it could be rather expensive for the owners to repair the damaged paint work. A new research has revealed that the colour of your car could attract more of these birds to relief themselves on your car. Yeah, I know it sounds a little ludicrous but it is just a study that records the frequency of bird droppings based on the colour of the car. Let us see what this study has revealed. United Kingdom online retailer, Halfords, has conducted a research on the above mentioned subject. The sample included 1,140 cars in Brighton, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol, although there's no indication as to the total number of each car colour in the group. Bright red cars attract more bird droppings than vehicles of any other colour; green cars were found to suffer the least, followed by silver, while white vehicles escaped more often than black. During the study, drivers were also asked how quickly they removed droppings from their cars. Only 17 per cent, one in six, said they wiped off deposits immediately when they saw them, 20 per cent said they took action "within a couple of days" while 55 per cent waited until the next car wash. The remaining 8 per cent never washed their cars or left it to others to organise. As well as being unsightly, insurance industry figures show bird droppings on vehicles can be an expensive problem and estimate the damage caused by bird-poop-stained paintwork costs motorists

My car was badly damaged by a car while parked by the roadside (hit and run). Do you think the police or insurance will be able to track down the car owner? My repair bill comes to over $4K but fortunately mostly paid by insurance. Still have to pay a lot for the excess. Any similar experience from others? The number is 5710, white car.

White has ranked as the most popular vehicle color in the world according to data from PPG Industries, the world's leading manufacturer of transportation coatings. Color and Personality In the United Kingdom, research suggested that the color of your car says something about your personality type. And accordingly, based on your personality type, your likeliness to be involved in an accident (in the U.K. at least). That research showed that black cars are twice as likely to be involved in crashes as cream-color cars. Whether this is true in the United States is unclear. Just for fun, here is what the research implied about certain car colors (listed in order of most dangerous to least)1. Black cars denote an aggressive personality or someone who's an outsider or rebel. Silver cars indicate someone who's cool, calm and slightly aloof. Green cars can often be chosen by people with hysterical tendencies. Yellow cars signify someone who is idealistic and novelty loving. Blue cars are chosen by the more introspective, reflective and cautious driver. Gray cars represent those who are calm, sober and dedicated to their work. Red cars denote those who are full of zest, energy and drive and who think, move and talk quickly. Pink cars are chosen by gentle, loving and affectionate drivers. White cars represent status-seeking extrovert drivers. Cream cars are the least likely to be involved in accidents and denote self-contained and controlled owners. https://www.comparisonmarket.com/LearningCe....aspx/index/455
