  1. I take the trip meter km reading and divide by the filled up litres at the pump, getting km/l. I then compute the monthly average to judge economy vs driving trend. Anyone else with other methods?
  2. Dear All, Say I purchase a Hybrid vehicle with OMV of $22,000 and CEVS rebate of $15.000. What would the scrap value of my car be? Thanks.
  3. Been wondering the actual cost of car ownership in Singapore Example Car1 buy $70k sell $36k Car2 buy $70k sell $53k ($36k from Car1 used as down payment) Car3 buy $66k sell $72k ($33k from Car2 used as down payment) Is it right to assume at end of day my actual cost of ownership is $45k for all 3 cars. Not taking interest, opex into the picture. Correct?

  5. Hi Lao Jiaos...Finally got to start my own thread. I tried searching for posting on this, but didnt really see any with complete details...or may be I missed out. Anyway, I am thinking of how to calculate a car resale price, as I do not wish to end up buying a non valuable car which makes me "dui" in the end when I decide to change car. Hope to hear some advises. Thanks in advance
  6. Hi guys, this is one of the most helpful forums I had read. people are most ready with their advice. This is the spirit. The resale market will come back, there is a limit to how low the prices of new cars and the COE will drop, within the next 5 years, Resale values will be important, so making a decision to buy a new car now will need to take into account the resale value. Anyone out there who has a spreadsheet that can take into account PARF, COE, OMV, Selling price, etc and work out the depreciation and breakeven point over the 10 years of loan? If so, please email me a copy, much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
