The reliable cable/wiring in aircon installation for home that I have read about is the Keystone or Sigma brand. I was quoted a system 2 using Eikou wiring. The salesman told me that it is a Singapore company. Does anyone here has any experience with the Eikou wiring. Thanks.

Starhub Broadband cable 100mps cost more than fibre 150mps. Any idea what are the diff interms of real performance ? The guy in the shop told me the following : 1. Cable have higher speed when access international sites. Slower for local sites. 2. Fibre slower when access international sites, but faster for local sites. I cant understand the rational. SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Police were alerted to a cable car incident at Sentosa this evening. According to a tweet by The New Paper at 7:02pm, an empty cable car fell at Siloso Beach. "Worker trapped inside another suspended car. SCDF and police on site, rescue operations underway," TNP tweeted. A second tweet at 7:27pm stated that the worker had been rescued. SCDF later released a statement at 7:30pm confirming that its officers were onsite. "A cable car cabin undergoing commissioning fell during testing. There was no one onboard the cabin," SCDF said. "There was an engineer in another cabin which was unaffected. "The cabin has since been moved safely to Imbiah Station and the engineer is fine. There are no casualties." Members from SCDF's Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team were also at the scene on standby. SCDF added that the existing cable car line was unaffected and remains in operation. - See more at: http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/sentosa-cable-car-line-falls-scdf-and-police-activated#sthash.RyScoNyM.dpuf

Hi bros, anyone has any idea what sort of USB adapter this is? I bought something else online and they sent this to me by mistake. I asked for a refund but I'm just wondering if it's of any use before I throw it away. There's a 3 pin thing on the inside as you can see from the photo. Thanks in advance!

Car Workshops to install hidden Cable for in-car cam?
Maddude posted a topic in In-Car-Entertainment
Hi all I tried "cable installation" and "cable installer" search on the forums but couldn't find an answer. Was wondering if anyone has a workshop to recommend to install just the in car camera power cable? Any idea on the cost of installing 2 (1 at the rearview cam and the other at the rear)? I got the in-car camera but the wire is hanging from my 12V socket to the rearview mirror, kinda looks fugly. Thanks in advance! -

Anyone had this problem before? It cause the lid to be able to open but not close unless I pull the lever and have someone push the lid close before I release it to lock it. This is due to the stopper being too far out. If possible I do not want to return to agent as it is very far from my place. And no, not any workshop can do the job. I've visited 3 workshops today, all told me they don't repair that (or maybe they just don't know how to). Anyone experience this and got it fixed by third party workshop?

I nvr like to scare myself but if these are the ghost stories that get circulated during NS. I really salute those who served NS!

Now who are they trying to kid? Its obvious that the cable ties idea is given and implemented by idiots at the first place. And is there something such as "special" cable ties? SMRT is a bloody joke to think that such a "quick-fix" solution combined with reduced speeds are adequate enough as stop-gap measures.

Whole life ruined because of 一时 or rather 六百十七次lun buay ge... Another yellow-ribbon candidate From CNA: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1192653/1/.html Former engineer jailed for fibre optic cable sabotage Posted: 02 April 2012 1312 hrs SINGAPORE: A former SingTel engineer has been sentenced to 15 months' jail for taking revenge on his supervisors. 35-year-old Terrance Tan Khoon Shan was convicted of cutting fibre optic cables belonging to OpenNet, in various areas including Clementi, Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh, on more than 600 occasions between March and May 2011. OpenNet is a consortium of four companies -- Axis NetMedia, SingTel, Singapore Press Holdings and Singapore Power Telecommunications -- that is building Singapore's ultra-fast fibre broadband network. SingTel is engaged by OpenNet to lay the optic cables at HDB flats islandwide. Tan faced a total of 617 charges but the court proceeded on 60. The court heard that Tan's misdemeanour stemmed from his dissatisfaction after he was terminated by telco SingTel. Tan joined SingTel as an engineer in August 2009 and was terminated a year later on September 2010. Unhappy with his supervisors, Tan decided to sabotage them by damaging the cables. Tan's lawyer had argued that his client was suffering from mental problems but the district judge disagreed. She ruled that Tan did not have a mental disorder and that "he was fully aware what he did was wrong, but he was overcome by his motive to seek revenge". In mitigation, the defence lawyer pointed out that Tan is a first offender and that he has a clean record prior to this. The lawyer argued that his client did not have designs to commit the offences, and asserted that the opportunities presented themselves to Tan. In response, the judge asked if the defence is saying the opportunities presented themselves 617 times. The defence lawyer also asked the court to consider probation but the prosecution objected to this as the offences committed were grave and in Tan's case, unsuitable for probation. The district judge agreed with the prosecution, calling Tan's crimes "senseless acts" which caused much inconvenience to residents who relied on the optic cables and ultimately led to a waste of time and money. The judge stressed that Tan's unhappiness with his supervisor was "not excusable". She sentenced Tan to three months' jail on each of the 60 charges, with five to run consecutively, making for a total of 15 months' imprisonment. Tan could have faced up to three years' jail and a maximum fine of $10,000 for each charge considered. - CNA/wm

Got some problem with my throttle cable and accelerator this afternoon. The accelerator pedal was very hard, feels like its stucked. cant be press at all... after a few tries, it went down and the RPM goes up and stop there without coming back down. I immediately off my engine, found that the Throttle Body is stuck in Open Position instead of Close Position even after i release the accelerator. I had to manually turn back the Throttle Body. The cable seems very stiff, doesnt pull smoothly as before. dont know if its going to snap soon or what. when i was driving back home in the morning there was no problem at all. it only happens when i start my car a few hours later. Anyone knows any good workshop near hougang that can fix the problem. Thank you very much....
