  1. If another motorist gives way to you, the most logical thing to do is show your gratitude towards them with a simple raise of your hand. Well, not for this egoistic Mercedes driver who defies logic. Watch it here: What Happened? A Mercedes A180 decided to perform an abrupt lane change without checking for oncoming traffic in the adjacent lane. As a result, an oncoming Toyota Corolla in the adjacent lane had to brake hard and give way to the Mercedes driver. You would think that after performing such a hazardous manoeuvre, the Mercedes driver would apologise or show some form of gratitude towards the Toyota driver. BUT NO. Instead, the Mercedes driver decides to swerve left and right, to impede and intentionally block the Toyota driver. Along the way, he also activates his windshield wiper to spray water toward the Toyota driver at its rear. TBH, I am freaking puzzled at the Mercedes driver's actions - why on Earth would anyone react like that? This got me thinking if he is a jerk with an ego problem or simply self-entitled? Netizens' Comments Definitely doesn't have a brain too. Absolutely. For a random netizen to recognise the car/driver, the driver must have been performing some 'impressionable stuff' in the past too. Compensating for something I guess? ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news, and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Join us today!
  2. Just as the joyous festive season kicked in, an unsuspecting accident completely ruined the atmosphere. Watch the spine-chilling accident here: What Happened? The accident occured along the stretch of Tampines Ave 10, close to midnight on 23rd December. A red Mercedes A180 drove from Tampines Ave 1 before negotiating a left turn onto Tampines Ave 10. From the video, it seems like the red Mercedes was travelling at a fast speed when he approached the left turn. Oddly, the Mercedes did not seem to have any intention to negotiate the bend. What puzzled me further was that it seemed to be driving straight into the metal barrier and the vehicles in the opposite direction. As a result, the Mercedes ended up T-boning a white SUV at the red light. There was plenty more collateral after the first point of impact with the white SUV, including a motorcyclist who happened to be lane splitting. The Aftermath In total, four cars, a taxi and one motorcycle were involved in the accident. Unfortunately, one driver succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, while four other motorists were injured and taken to the hospital. Subsequently, the driver of the red Mercedes was arrested for suspected drink driving. Speeding Apparently, the driver of the red Mercedes was racing another car before the accident occurred. They were caught on dashcam footage as they sped down Tampines Ave 1. Netizens' Comments Dude, the Mercedes driver was arrested for suspected drink driving. Regardless, drivers like him should be off our roads. Yes, totally agreed. NGL, my heart dropped a little while watching the video. My thoughts and prayers go out to those involved in the accident 🙏 ======== Receive a $10 PayNow for every submission we publish on Facebook! Simply WhatsApp us ➡️https://bit.ly/3c6JERA
  3. When if comes to overtaking, we bet this Honda Civic driver is one of the most skilled drivers on our road if not the most skilled. This happened on Christmas eve at around 11:45pm along Bartley East Rd in the area of Kaki Bukit towards the CTE and we must say we are impressed with the precision of the overtake. As you can see from the clip, the matt-greenish Civic Turbo came out of nowhere and moved across from one lane to the other with not much room to spare, before proceeding to accelerate away briskly. 4. Oh no, this white Porsche Macan is going to get flamed online by neitzens everywhere with his/her brake-checking skills. Spotted on SG Road Vigilante's page is this video of a Porsche SUV that is pissed with the camera car not giving way on 30th of Nov 2020. Everything started from the junction of Upper Thompson and Braddell Road with the Porsche slowly catching up to the camera car which was going a decent speed. The Porsche then wanted to overtake on Braddell road for a few times but somehow luck was not in his way and the camera car seemed like it was blocking the SUV. With ego getting the best of the SUV driver, the Macan then a bad judgement call at Braddell Underpass, trying to cut into the camera car's lane without signal. Funny thing is throughtout the other parts of the video, the Macan did signal his intentions mostly... From then on, it then seemed like the Macan wanted to give the camera a piece of his mind and brake-checked the camera car after finally overtaking it. Was it solely the fault of the Porsche? Or was the camera car in the wrong for not giving way despite knowing the Porsche had intentions to overtake? It does take two hands to clap afterall...

  7. Dear All, My name is Marcus. I would like to share my experience with MTE Garage(Bartley Biz Centre) and my journey in tuning my ride. I hope that my experience can allow any potential Volvo owners’ to evaluate the risk and adjust your expectation accordingly. There are lots of workshop and tuner that are respectable but there are those who are irresponsible as well. Likewise my experience do not necessary mean the same will happen to you. In a nutshell, my car was unsuitable for tuning and it cost a lot of problem to the extent of rendering it unusable before wearnes automotive (agent) solve it for me. There was huge gap between promise expectation and reality. I have attached all receipts and proof. 1. 01 July 2014 -Bought new 2013 Volvo S60 T5, 240hp, 320nm (no Drive E version) 2. 21 July 2014- Recommended by friend to MTE garage. Meet with owner Alex and discuss my expectations for my car. – To increase the drive response via tuning, upon recommendations, I was promised a custom tune with the following hardware upgrade which is necessary to complement the custom tune. I was promised an increase of 60+hp and 100+NM minimum. The verbal guarantee was that the hp will be over 300hp. My stock is 240hp. The upgrade bought was a. Ferrita DP/Catback exhaust- $3800 b. AEM methanol Kit- $1350 c. MTE custom Tune- $1350 d. Injen Short Ram (Full kit)- $1350 e. UR front strut bar- $190 f. Customised throttle hose- $160 Total: $8789 with gst 3. Turns out the Injen Air intake is incompatible with the car. The overflow of air cause the ECU to shut down the engine. Ended up with a DIY air filter which means I paid for something I cannot use and no refund was given. 4. Mid November- After waiting for 4 months after full payment, MTE arrange for shark performance from Uk to do a tuning trip in Singapore. Let me be upfront here, the tuning fail in the first round with sluggish performance because MTE accuses us for installing an aftermarket downpipe which affected the tuning. We replace back the original Ferrita DP and the tuning seems to work and we thought the tuning was completed. While the price was inclusive of a Dyno run verbally, none was arranged after a month. I was interested to know if the car exceeded 300hp as promised. Just to add, the tuning was done using the clipboard which open up the ECU and not a flash as per promised 5. 09 Jan 2015- despite repeated request for dyno with MTE, I was ignored. Paid for our own dyno run at monster tune and realised that the HP was a mere 248hp( only +8hp). To be fair the car did become more responsive with higher torque at lower RPM but the problems that ensued was not worth the improvement at all. I did not argue because such over promise by certain workshop is common in the business. 6. Problems: jan15 to may 15- Numerous check engine light, error codes but all resolved by a simple reset of error codes at agent 7. Problems: 3rd July error codes (unable to reset successfully) a. Reduced engine performance b. DSTC service c. Check Engine d. Multi Indicators light up e. Engine choking 8. Problems: 4 July- Car cannot start. Volvo replace fuel pressure. Collected car 9. Problems: 6th July – Car cannot start. All indicators light up again and return to agent, replace fuel injection pump 10. Problems: 11th August – Car cannot start. All indicators out again, choking engine, went back to Volvo, Volvo manage to reset code and diagnostic read “software incompatible with car” 11. Problems 15th August- Car cannot start. All indicators out again. Reloaded original ECU program 12. Problems 17th August Car stalled on road twice. Volvo mechanic while testing stalled again on the road. Volvo installed original air intake and did reset for the car. 13. 25th August- collected car, total spent $1592 over a few visit to Volvo. Whole fiasco including amount paid to MTE is around $10,701.00 and I bought only headaches To summarize, I was unlucky enough to be convinced that my car was tune ready and I spent $10k to bring myself a host of problems. I would like to share this experience with anybody who are thinking of tuning their Volvo. I will now be evaluating my recourse for this matter. Thank You MTE Receipt.pdf Volvo Receipt.pdf

  13. Hi all peeps, there was an accident that took place at the Upper Paya Lebar Road - Bartley Road junction about a month back (25 Oct at 5.40pm). A motorcycle travelling along Upper Paya Lebar Road proceeded straight across the junction on a green light, but a Mercedes Benz in the opposite direction turned right into Bartley Road simultaneously, without checking whether the coast was clear. The motorcyclist was flung 10m onto Bartley Road and conveyed to hospital later with a fractured leg. I've attached a picture of the aftermath of the accident. Basically, I'm hoping that if there are any witnesses to this accident, please contact me at 8112-7014. This is important because it concerns the liability of the accident and subsequently, the claim amount. There were a lot of vehicles passing by the accident scene because it was the evening peak period and everyone was going back home. If you happened to have witnessed the accident, pls contact me. Thanks. [inline accident.jpg]
