Really need to see the CCTV footage to determine whose fault A 28-year-old woman fell into gap in an escalator being serviced at Tanah Merah MRT Station last Monday. Miss Azlin Amran was stuck in the waist-deep pit for almost half an hour as Singapore Civil Defence Force rescuers worked quickly to free her. The unemployed woman, who was later rushed to hospital and sent to the intensive care unit, suffered injuries including a punctured lung, a fractured pelvis and spinal injuries. said her mother. SMRT told The New Paper that a barrier had been put up at the entrance of the escalator that was being serviced. But Miss Azlin had told her mother, Madam Azizah Mohd Lajis, 52, that there were no barriers at the escalator that evening. Read the full report in The New Paper on Monday (Feb 04).

Esp. expressways. I travel on CTE, PIE, BKE, KJE etc......almost on a daily basis. The roads are super duper worn out. Some parts can see pot holes being repaired and come back and repaired again. Then the road markings also almost gone already. So faint...... I am just wondering what on earth is LTA doing??? Collect all the COE, road tax etc.... and this is the kind of standard we get?

The STOMPer was not clear about this "stationary" car. Was the car on the road waiting behind another vehicle or at a traffic light junction waiting to move off OR was it illegally parked along the road when the bus hit it? If it is the former then the owner's insurer can file a valid claim against the bus company but if the car was instead parked along a road which it was not supposed to then it would be a different scenario and best outcome could be a 50:50 claim yes? From STOMP: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ly_damaged.html Posted on 15 May 2012 Parked car badly damaged after SBS bus changes lane and hits it STOMPer Huile witnessed a SBS bus swing recklessly into a lane at Airline Road, hitting a stationary car and badly damaging it. Huile said: "This SBS bus swinged suddenly into the lane recklessly and hit a stationary car at Airline Road at 8.30am yesterday. "The car was very badly damaged and part of the bus was damaged as well but the bus did not stop."

My ex-senior in JC, , Mr Smark, has been making lots of money after he left school with his scheme: He promises superb returns to his customers and many of them supported him and trusted him for decades despite his high fee for the services/returns he appeared to be delivering.... he uses charts and stats to prove better years to come. He even managed to hire top talents to help run his scheme. These loyalists were paid salaries which top earners in other countries darent even dream of. Having an united family helps too, his relatives help grow his business. Soon his beloved wife was listed as one of the top 'most influencial' aunties in the mahjong kakis community. Things went rather smoothly and everyone who take part in the scheme was making money one way or another until recently the returns started to dwindle and the exclusive club house (equiped with mahjong rooms, spas, ktv) for members of the scheme started to cause small inconvenences to the members eg lift breakdown, overcrowded washrooms etc etc. The spa pools' water also overflew and flooded the mahjong rooms next door! Members started to show concerns and to make peace and buy time, Mr Smark declared a discount on his fees...... His loygalists were split: some say this is a good move, some say Mr Smark is forcing them to go hungry by doing this.... they hinted resignation. What must Mr Smark do now to survive? More importantly, what options do the members have?

Saw from Taiwan news that she was burnt during the filming of an explosion scene but apparently a mistake by the production team resulted in this. Now she is suffering from 3rd degree burn (the worst degree) and needs skin transplant on her limbs & back. The male lead is in more critical condition, 35% of full body 3rd degree burns, critical condition currently in ICU, with life danger. he blocked selina during the explosion.

Today saw a very SWAY GLX in my car park.. it was in the reverse parking position but the front is badly smashed from the left side and the front also went into another cab beside it.. Apparently, somebody (prolly drunk/high) must have lost control and smashed into this GLX.. The front really very CHUI... I din manage to take foto cos there was a car coming from my back liao... Really can feel the pain when he comes and get his ride, and I think the cabbie sure claim him also... RIP... Best pictorial I can come out wif...

http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNew...0324-55894.html THE lower-income households in Singapore were not as badly hit by inflation as those in the middle and higher-income groups in the second half of last year, according to latest data on the consumer price index released by the Department of Statistics (DOS) on Monday. so does that mean poor sillyporeans like me should go out and celebrate and turn to the middle and higher income class ...WE BEAT YOU THIS TIME There you go, no complain this time we are very very happy now

Hi all, just completed two detailing sessions on 2 sexy rides from Zoom Zoom recently. First up, this hard-top MX5 just had a fresh coat of paint a few months back and I was under the impression that its gonna need just some light touch ups. After washing and claying, I had a shock when I saw the rotary induced swirls all over the car. See the pics to know what I mean. My Process: 1) Wash n Clay 2) Rotary wif Orange LC pad and IP (Some areas needed Lambwool and IP first ) 3) Rotary with White pad and PO106FF 4) Chemical Guys EZ creme glaze by hand 5) Chemical Guys M-Seal x2 layers by hand The pre-preparation process took almost 30 mins due to the taping up of almost all the visible rubber seals, some of which were dry and had harden. Special care had to be taken at the tight curvy edges keeping in mind this is a resprayed paintwork. Though siong, the end result was really sweet. Hope u all like it Some Swirls and the after polishing pics: Before: After:

Hi guys, My 3yrs old Ignis is vibrating badly at speeds above 90km/h, the vibration can be felt by the hands(on steering wheel) and legs(on acclerator). Could it be due to worn tyres, balancing or alignment? The tyres are 3yrs old and have done 42K km. On a straight road, I have to steer slightly to the right or else the car will slowly veer to the left. The current size is 165/70/R14, can I fit a 195/65/14 tyre? Planning to visit the tyre shop at Tampines(the big shell petrol koisk), any comments on that place? How is their pricing? Thanks :)
