  1. Anyone know which arcade games centre which closes quite late????
  2. I'm a bit slow but wow Bedok has a spanking new mall - Djitsun Mall (AGAIN) and cinema (Golden Village) after not having any for the last 10 years since Princess closed down? The nearest would be Tampines, Katong, and now Paya Lebar. 6 theatres with a capacity of 576. It is now opened. https://weekender.com.sg/w/do/golden-village-launches-new-cineplex-in-bedok/ And then there's the Fat Cat Arcade, touted as the biggest arcade in the east of Singapore. I somehow don't see the kinda arcade games that we are all accustomed to playing when we were younger though. Games like Streetfighter, Time Crisis. The arcades of today consists of virtual fishing games and toy catchers. https://mothership.sg/2018/06/fat-cat-arcade-bedok/ This new mall looks to me like just another Bedok Point. Do we really need that many Malls? And for old times sake...
  3. https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/video/talent-fou-basketball-darcade-185731989.html insane beyond belief. he picks up the basketballs with wat kind of finger strength?!?
  4. Desperately trying to find this mini claw arcade machine. Online site prices seems a bit steep. Anybody seen this around any shops here?
  5. Kiss your free time goodbye: you can now play 900 pre-1996 arcade games online for free. The golden age of arcade games has returned—to your web browser. The Internet Archive exists to create a digital copy of, well, everything digital produced by culture. It's most famous for the Wayback Machine, which preserves old versions of websites for posterity—so, for example, if you want to see what Yahoo.com looked like in 1996, you can do that. Last year, it added "stealing everyone's spare time" to its goals, and debuted a powerful weapon in that arsenal: The Console Living Room, simulating hundreds of classic console games ranging from Atari to Sega Genesis and a dozen-plus other consoles in between. Now it has a new tool for monopolizing the nostalgia of anyone old enough to have actually played arcade games and younger nerds who want a little hipster cred: The Internet Arcade. I died because I was taking a screenshot for you. I hope you appreciate it. There are currently 901 games available (although a mere 350 or so are "recommended"), spanning the 1970s to the 1990s. People today complain about video games charging you once for the main product and then again for downloadable content, but these are the games that people paid to play every single time, and now they're free. Having a Q*Bert high score makes going pro in LoL look like child's play. Every punk kid says they've played on the tournament level for League of Legends these days, but none of them ever had their three initials saved in glorious neon for everyone in town to marvel over (until a challenger could rise up and beat them). Street Fighter 2 was actually a video game before it was a movie! These games don't have the graphics or sound design that modern titles do, but that also means that the games are built entirely out of their mechanics. Everything you play today has an ancestor in here somewhere, and there's a good chance the original version did it simpler and better. I hope you realize that I could have been playing games instead of writing this. Whether you loved these games back in the day or you just love video games enough to go back to your roots, can you really afford not to waste all your time playing free games without having 13-year-olds (or mental 13-year-olds) scream at you?
  6. http://site.dragtag.com.au/index.php Drag Tag - virtual drag racing with your own car Posted Jul 28th 2006 12:55PM by John Neff Filed under: Motorsports, Tuner Tuesdays, Etc. Drag Tag is an indoor facility in Australia where you can virtually drag race your own car using a patented dyno, hold-down, steering and visualization simulator. Design, developed and operated in Australia, Drag Tag uses its own specially-designed hold-down system to keep your car strapped on the dyno during WOT. Laser sensors are used to monitor the angle of the front wheels and gather steering data, while three massive 4.5-meter screens provide over a 200-degree of various simulated race environments. The Drag Tag website points out the obvious benefits it has to offer over actual racing, which include a complete disregard for the weather outside, shorter lines, no helmets or race suits required and really fast cars don't need any expensive safety equipment like a roll cage. In order to join the fun, one must first purchase a membership to Drag Tag that include installation of the special hold-down brackets, after which nightly racing can cost anywhere from AUS $10 to $50 for an evening of digital automotive mayhem. While there's no replacement for the experience of a real Christmas Tree going green and dropping the hammer, the idea of driving your own car in a video game is strangely appealing. ----------- they should bring this to singapore!
  7. Hi Peeps! anyone got any lobang for those full size pinball machine for sale? new or 2nd hand i also ok as i would like to get 1 for my new home in future as i really enjoy playing 1 in the arcade!! Thks for helping
  8. Anyone playing this arcade game whereby you control cannon to shoot fishes for coins. Just curious about the objectives of the game, is it just to past time, or got some form of gambling, like win credit. Saw people of all ages playing, and got auntie running over to the counter to buy credits, very comical.
  9. I went to the arcade and saw this game that is shaped like a dining table, screen is the table top and the image is like looking directly down into an ocean. 6 players seated around it and they seem totally immersed, but I can't figure what's the hook because each one has a cannon and they just keep firing nets or something to try and catch the fishes or something. Sometimes catch, sometime the fish just swim away. I wanted to ask so what's the game about but the players like all concentrating. Are there any MCFers who play? How to make a successful catch and what's the prize, or is it just keep firing away until credits finish?
