I realise that there have been questions popping up about SCDF and ambulance. From contacts with my friends and even family members, there seem to be a lot of misconception of what we do in the nursing field. What we can do, what we cannot do, bed situation and the such. Following from Hardwarezone threads, I thought it might be helpful if I started a thread on nursing. A little background. Graduated from nursing over 15 years ago Worked in C class and B2 ward in a restructured hospital Worked in major OT in restructured and private hospital Worked in Accident and Emergency department in restructured and private hospital Lecturer in nursing Attachments include SCDF posting when going for a specialist course Of course the on and off volunteer missions overseas So ask me anything. If I can answer without compromising my identity or place I work, I will do so, within reason. p/s with O levels coming out soon, this thread is also for those who might consider nursing as a career but cannot seem to get the on the ground info

http://www.desispy.com/technology/we-didnt-do-anything-wrong-but-somehow-we-lost-nokia-ceo-steve-ballmer/551817/ Nokia has been a large and respectable company. They didn’t do anything wrong in their business, be that as it may, the world changed too fast. Their rivals were too capable. Other companies like Samsung, Sony, Intex, Lava, Micromax comes up with advanced features to attract the audience in Mobile Industry. this is a very very expensive and painful lesson even singapore is doing well today we must continue to excel and change else we will be left behind and obsolete

Anything to do in Batu Pahat? We will likely be going there in June for a church camp held at one of the hotels. Will probably have some free time to explore the sights (if any). Suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

Tried to remove some minor scratches on the alloy rims (non glossy non shining type) with fine sandpaper on a boring sunday. Managed to buff out the scratches but left a bit of polishing marks . It is not noticeable unless look at it closely. I can live with it. Do I need to do anything more on the affected areas like applying a protective coat?

I am trying to buy an old opc car for short term usage, like a few months to travel to Malaysia, I calculated that rental will probably cost 1k for the period I need. So I wonder if I can get something like this: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=409498&DL=1000 Assume the coe paid was more than 17k (which I assume is for a car of 2004 registered), do I get back the normal parf that non-opc get? Is there body rate for a car like this? Will the scrap car dealer charge me anything for scrapping the car through them? What about insurance, say I buy 1 year of insurance with Aviva, when the car is scrap 4 months later, do I get back the remaining? Can opc be driven on Malaysia roads on weekdays afternoon?

This video was posted on Youtube. Do you see anything wrong here? Looks pretty good and normal to me, with the cyclist being pretty responsible. FWIW, I live around that area, cycle regularly and had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't me - 'cus I would be riding exactly the same way. Also, it was said in MyPaper today by some govt lackey or other that dun need cycling as a commuting option as the public transport system is enough. [hur] My opinion is obvious - but what does youse fellahs reckon?

Was intro to this by my Malaysia friend, where else in Singapore have this? or even something marginally closed?: The Polarized Paint Protection System (PPS) WHY PPS sealant can provide the ultimate protection and the showroom shine for your car paint for years to come. Because PPS sealant is not a wax of any kind but a PTFE (Teflon) coating (the same substance that makes non-stick cookwares so slippery and tough that nothing will stick to it and will not crack or melt under extreme temperature) that will fuse and bond to the paint with U.S. patented PPS technology to create a dazzling, wet and deep shine and will stay and remain there to protect the paint against the damaging UV sunray and all other harmful elements for years. Our PPS sealant will also help to fill up the tiny paint pores, crevices and hairline cracks and smooth out uneven paint surfaces and swirls. Our patented PPS technology is the only permanent protection coating system currently available in the whole world. The PTFE (Teflon) coating is one of the slipperiest substances known to man and it is this slick substance that repels dirt like crazy. The water will always float on the paint surface in the form of beads or water droplets and roll off the surface instead of sheeting off as the treated surface is so slick and gloss that not even water will stick to it. http://www.shinenshield.com/pps.html http://www.shinenshield.com/testicert.html

I love to drink beer...but then since I am alone...it is kind bore seeing people in big group while I am the lonely traveller..
